We have big news here at Bower Power. Big. Like REALLY big.

Let’s just say that it has been in the works since the summer – and involves a little bit of this:

  2. AH, I knew it! You mentioned around Thanksgiving that you needed us to keep you and your family in our prayers as you were weighing some big decisions…so exciting! I wish you luck with the house hunting and selling process!

  7. heehee…it’s funny that both of us are going through these life changes around the same time, isn’t it? Sher & I joke that we lead parallel lives…you guys wouldn’t BELIEVE the stuff that has happened in the past that is exactly the same. Although…I never did kiss Eminem’s neck 🙂
    As for the house…it’s like that famous dumping-line…it’s not you, it’s me. It’s not our house that is making us move…it’s that we found our dream home. our forever home. our flutter-our-eyelashes-never-thought-we-could-have-it home. And literally, we are still in SHOCK about the whole thing.

  15. What? Wow! You and the Petersik’s are keeping me on my toes. Just when I thought our relationship found a lull, a comfort spot, if you will; You both surprise me with exciting news! I cannot wait for the reveals, DIY, decorating ideas and all the goodness that comes with change.

    Selling a house is exhausting, from what I remember from my teenage years. But yeah, congrats!

    Also… I’m pretty sure a crazy internet stalker would be able to figure out your address from that picture… maybe you should blur out the realtor’s info on the sign? Realtors normally have websites which have pictures of the houses… and we’ve all see the exterior of your home… etc etc etc
    or not! ha… I’m kind of paranoid about that stuff 🙂

    We thought of that…but we honestly don’t mind if someone knows where we live…for now. I mean, we have an alarm…and if they just so happen to be interested in buying the house, well, we invite them with open arms 🙂

    Can’t wait to hear the details – and also would love to hear about your thoughts on fixing things up like the guest room even though you knew you may be moving. Because that’s always a tough situation to decide how much to do when you’re not sure what’s going on with the house!

  59. how exciting! we just moved this past saturday…it’s actually comforting to see others (you and the petersniks) moving right now. it’s fun to watch them do the same thing we’re doing and also not be the only crazy ones moving in the middle of winter! 🙂 blessings!! Sara

  60. Can’t wait to see pictures of the forever home! Praying you have a quick sale. We sold our house two years ago with a 3 year old and 1 year old. I know it’s hard with all the baby gear!

Well, we feel like it’s not really just leaving…more like passing on the torch 🙂 We were young and had loads of energy when we took on this home…and regardless of all that sweat equity there are some things we will never be able to change…like the fact that it’s not in a neighborhood. And we desperately want that sense of community for our family.

  66. So happy to hear you found your dream home! I was gonna tease you too about “copying” YHL again, but everybody beat me to it. I think it’s so neat that you became friends and are at similar stages in life and can share those special milestones with each other (and all of us!)
