WARNING: Like the title of this post indicates, if you are sportin’ a ding-a-ling, you may not be interested in this info.
Yesterday, I had an appointment at my OBGYN’s and took a NST (non stress test) to make sure Will was still alright hanging out in there. Good news – he’s just peachy. Our doctor recommended that we weigh the risks with waiting vs. the rewards. So Jeremy & I came up with a decision on what to do about my 48in diameter belly. We have scheduled an inducement for tomorrow at 5am.
However, last night I started having some pretty tight contractions. And today they are pretty intense. and painful. But not close enough to justify the label of ‘labor’. And my water hasn’t broken…although the mucus…yeah…which is way more disgusting than ever needs to be explained online…that’s no longer taking up residence in my uterus. Back to the point – we are definitely going to have a baby by Friday.
So now…here’s where you guys come into play. I need your help. I need some prayer warriors to take up arms. I know you’re out there. And I would really love to have this baby come au natural…not because I am against drugs…I’m not. Drugs can be friends with me anytime. My only issue with Pitocin is that I would be stuck in bed. And that situation scares me worse than animals with clothes on (which I find extremely frightening for some odd reason!). So I need you to pray that either a) my cervix would fully cooperate TONIGHT thus eliminating the need to be bed-ridden or b) that I could lay aside my fear of being stuck on my back. I know whatever happens, the most important thing is a healthy baby and a healthy me…so really everything else falls by the wayside. But it would be extra nice to know that I have at least a few more prayers on the superhighway to heaven!
Could you do that for me? Pretty please? I would love you forever if you did…and just so everyone knows…I will be sure to update ya’ll asap with any new news.
Erin says
Good luck! I had both Pitocin & an epidural. Both were wonderful drugs. :0)
Gina says
Oh I just got chills!! We had our little boy Sept of 08 and I remember all to well the excitement!! GOOD LUCK!!!!! Against my want they induced me the day he was due – Pitocin is not good and creates more pain then God intended – I swear it really is awful and if they have to do it tell them to take it easy with the stuff and not crank it out like their life depended on it. The epidural was heaven and allowed me to concentrate on the joy of having a baby surrounded by my family rather then screaming and cursing in pain. You will do fine!!!! Many people have been where you are and they all did great – remember every minute – we’ll all be praying for you 🙂 Peace Out!!!!
Stacy says
Since my sister just went through this process yesterday, I have had you on my mind. Although 14 hours of pitocin did not produce a vaginal delivery (baby too large, cervix too small, cord wrapped around baby, baby was posterior, did we need any more reasons) I will tell you that she was not stuck in bed while on pitocin for those 14 hours. They tried EVERYTHING before having to do the c-section. In the end a beautiful, healthy baby girl was born and a c-section was inevitable (which provides peace as their birthing “plan” totally was thrown out the window). Nothing is impossible with God and His will will be done. I do pray that you have peace with the whole process and hope in the promise of new life!
Susan says
Prayers are coming your way for a safe delivery for you both. You will be so surprised with the strength and endurance God will give you. You will be so excited and focused on the job at hand that you won’t be afraid. Can’t wait to see the pictures.

I will be praying for you. I’m 31 weeks pregnant and also live here in Atlanta. I’ve spent the last few months preparing for a natural birth. Lid you I’m equally of afraid of pitocin and epidurals.
Here is the prayer that I’ve been preparing for myself and I hope it will work for you. I pray that you are able to ride the wave of each contraction and surrender to the process knowing with strong faith that God as our devine creator, created you with exactly this process in mind.
Jessica says
Of course you have my prayers! I really respect you for your choices, and unlike most who try to give advice, I will just say to follow your intuition and enjoy the ride.
Kristal says
You got it mama. I’m praying for you right now and I have tears in my eyes thinking of what you are about to experience. Your world is gonna be rocked – so excited for you, Katie!

Smitha says
I will be praying for you Katie and baby Will that all goes smoothly. I was just like you and was so scared of the idea of a needle being stuck in my back and hoping that I would be able to have a drug free delivery. But mother nature had other plans. With my first baby, I was in labor for 3 days with intense and frequent contractions that did nothing to dilate my cervix. My water broke and I even dislodged my mucus plug (it is pretty gross) and 10 hours later I was still only a finger tip dilated. Doh!! So they had to give me pitocin b/c they needed my baby out within 24 hours of my water breaking and we were already 12 hours in. I finally opted for the epidural and let me just tell you that I felt SO MUCH better after the epidural. I had an awesome anesthesiologist (even if he did look like he was only 12 years old) and he got the needle in the right spot on the first try and it only felt like a tiny pinch….not painful at all!!! After that, I could just relax and rest through the contractions until I was ready to push and my baby girl was born after 3 hours of pushing and 23 hours after my water broke! So that was my birth story and each one is different. I will pray that you get to have the labor and delivery that you want and that everybody is healthy.
Sarah says
Praying that you have a safe delivery and welcome a healthy baby boy soon!
Stephanie says
Many prayers to you, boyfriend and little man Will!
Kristin says
How exciting! I was induced with my first and it wasn’t so bad, although I ended up with a C-section {more to do with my stubborn child than the induction itself}. I’ll be repeating that next Wednesday with #2, so I’m waddling around right with you! No matter how your sweet boy gets here, it will be a success when he’s in your arms. Don’t fret, just enjoy it – the moment you become a mommy is the best :).
Stan says

definitely keeping your entire family in my thoughts and prayers. 🙂
Melissa M. says
I highly suggest accupuncture to induce. It has worked for several friends and they were able to avoid pitocin. Though it sounds like things are on their way as it is. I would also suggest lots and lots of walking! Good luck – giving birth is just an absolutely amazing experience with an even better end result no matter how you get there!
Mandy says
oh yay oh yay oh yay!
so I haven’t commented yet to tell you that I gave up blogs for Lent and then realized I might miss baby Will being born and I was so sad and actually felt bad I didn’t tell you I would be thinking of you in advance, like you would even know I was gone! : P glad Will waited until I rejoined blogland to arrive, can’t wait to “meet” him!
prayers are being said this moment on your behalf, so excited for you!!! : )
Alison says
Hi Katie, I was on pitocin for my labor because I was induced. Really, it wasn’t that bad, and they gave me morphine early on so I could go to sleep, which gave me lots of energy when it came to PUUUUUSH!! I did have an epidural as well. So, I will pray for you, but I really hope you feel a little better knowing that pitocin really isn’t too bad 🙂 (P.S. HI WILL!)
Chrissy says
Praying for you! God will be with you no matter what course little Will comes out. I was in the water broke, no contractions, induced, baby facing the wrong way, epidural, vacuum group….and I wouldn’t change it for the world because I felt God with me the entire time. He’ll be with you darling and you’ll rejoice the moment you lay eyes on your little boy.
Ciara says
I’m delurking to say “GOOD LUCK!” and also thank you for your wonderful blog. It’s a highlight of my day. Can’t wait to read all about your newest addition soon.
krkennedy30 says
Sounds like things are moving along on their own. With both my sons, my water didn’t break until I was 9-10cm dilated and I completely sympathize with not wanting to stay in bed. I didn’t either. Not at all. Walking and moving was all I wanted to do and really what helped me deal with the contractions. I also think the movement helped me dilate. I had bad back labor with both babies and laboring on my hands and knees or standing and bending over the bed reduced the intensity of the contractions considerably. I also had my midwife sweep my membranes a few times when I started to have contractions but they weren’t yet in that “actual labor” phase. This helped a lot in moving things along! Just some thoughts. I wish you a wonderful, safe, and smooth birth!
Emily says
I’m not a religious person, but I’m spiritual. Makes sense, right? I am sending good thoughts your way. I think you are going to do a great job, regardless of how it happens.
Darby says
Hello my friend! I will be praying for you… have you tried all the ole wives tales? I will be praying that you will go into labor on your own pre-pitocin… that’s not too much to ask… I don’t think! Please keep us posted! xoxo D

Prayers and lots of good thoughts for you and your family!
Sarah says
You, baby Will, and Jeremy are all in my prayers right now! I’m a doula-in-training so I love birth and have been hoping you’d give a birth update on the blog! You might not be in labor yet, but this is pre-labor… labor will come soon! Remember that if you’re still in pre-labor and want to wait it out, you can cancel the induction. Nobody says you have to keep the appointment. Just do whatever you and Jeremy decide is best for YOU and for Will and don’t let anyone pressure you into something you don’t want to do. I hope for your sake that you get to have freedom of movement during labor, but if not that’s okay too! Baby Will is already a miracle, and it is just amazing how God has designed your body perfectly for such an occasion. Ah, okay, enough already from this birth junkie! 🙂 Can’t wait to hear the news of Will’s arrival!
Gloria says
Just know that you are in God’s care. If things don’t go they way you want them to proceed, just remember to trust your Docs and to have faith – all will go as it should. And, I have learned in childbirth (and in life) that I’m not always the driver. So, relax and enjoy this time b/c your little man will be here soon!
Britten says
Katie, we’ve never met but I’ve been following the blog for about six months. I will be praying for a safe and healthy delivery. Even if it does not go as hope remember that it’s part of HIS plan.

Marta says
This is my first time commenting but am a total stalker. All I want to say is to be sure to eat an AWESOME meal tonight before you either go into labor au natural or being induced. I think you can’t eat anything after 11 or midnight??? I’ve had 3 kids – 2 were induced and 1 came on his own time table. Good luck! I’m sure all will go well.
Alicia Mier says
Katie you’re wonderful and I’m praying for you!!
I hope you don’t have to use Pitocin either! (watch “The Business of Being Born” on Netflix about this)
Good luck! We’ll be waiting anxiously!
Kayt says
I have been obsessively refreshing your blog hoping for an update! So, I had a baby in December ’08, induced with Pitocin, vaginally, with an epidural. You can do it! In my hospital here in Colorado, they introduced wireless monitering the week I had James. If you have wired monitering, most hospitals will let you at least stand next to your bed if Will doesn’t get stressed by it, or sit in a rocker or on a birthing ball for a bit every hour. Sometimes, they’ll even let you start with a vaginal suppository of hormones to get your cervix playing nicely, which gives you time to walk around and do what you can before they hook you up.
I won’t lie, Pitocin sucks! It burns going in and makes your contractions very intense. What did me in, personally, was when they broke my water. However, getting my epidural (12 hours in) allowed me to concentrate and relax, and I still pushed out an 8 pounder with a 15.5 inch around head. I don’t think I could have stomached it without the drugs. Whatever happens, as long as you guys are happy and healthy, it’s fine!
We are thinking happy, healthy, safe labor and birth thoughts for you here!
Jill Stigs says
My thoughts and prayers are with you! Please know that He will be with you three the whole way. Enjoy the experience and just focus on the end result and don’t forget to breathe!

Deanna Divino @ domesticateddiaries.blogspot.com says
Prayers are going WAY up and up for you Katie! I admire your goals and hope that you are surrounded by those who can help ya get there! If not, enjoy those drugs! 😉 Can’t wait to “meet”, if only virtually, baby Will!
Amanda says
Sending your cervix good vibes. Avoid the induction if at all possible since you’ll probably need an epidural if you have Pitocin. Your body and you are stronger than you expect. I was in labor for 74 hours and pushed out my boy drug free. It was the most amazing experience of my life and the post-delivery high is the best thing ever. Good luck!
Alicia Mier says
and look! Try these! Some were featured on “The Office” when Pam and Jim had their little one! CLEARLY it has to be effective 🙂

Can’t wait to officially hear the happy news!! Good luck!
Michelle says
YAY! Katie, that is so exciting! OK, here was the advice from my OB when I was over due… sex. I know it’s hysterical to even contemplate at this point, but ummm semen has a natural pitocin like effect. So, yeah. There you have it. It’s worth a try, sounds like you may be started already anyway if you’re having good contractions!
Best of luck!!
Elizabeth says
I just started reading your blog when you found out you were pregnant and I feel like we’re friends! 😉 Good luck!

Lauren says
Sending good thoughts your way. Here’s to hoping it is already happening. If you’re open to suggestions – (hope this isn’t too woowoo for you)
Try some positive visualization tonight – really meditate and picture yourself going into labor. Visualize what that would look like from an observer’s perspective, imagine how it will feel to you, and think about what happens on, well, your insides – think about your cervix opening up* and your uterus contracting (think back to what cramps feel like and recall that muscle memory). Picture it from baby Will’s perspective too! Then go on to visualize your ideal birth. Mentally practice all these steps in your head. Have Jeremy join in on the positive visualizations. And of course, try all that other typical stuff to get a baby coming too. Good luck – so excited for you and can’t wait for you to finally meet your baby!
*As a fellow photographer, picture your cervix like a camera aperture and think “f1.2!” (or whatever fastest lens you have). This is what worked for me during a GYN procedure!
Suzanne says
You and Will will both be in my prayers. Hoping all goes well. You’re srong – you’ll do just fine. Can’t wait to “meet” that baby, who’ll surely be gorgeous!
Heather says
Lord,
I pray that everything goes smoothly (and quickly) for Katie tonight. I pray that nothing hampers her desire to have this baby without drugs, and I pray that you take her focus off the pain as much as possible. I pray that her son is born naturally, healthy, and that he grows to become a great man of God. Oh – and please be there for Jeremy too. An uneventful birth (for all parties involved!) would be splendid.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Julie says
Good luck with your delivery, Katie. Just know that you do NOT have to be stuck in bed because of the Pitocin. If your doctor gave you this info, then there may be another reason. But I was induced (the OB broke my water and I had pitocin) with my second daughter and was able to get up and move around a lot until I had my epidural. So, wishing you a healthy, happy delivery, whether the doctor has to get it started for you or it happens naturally! Good luck 🙂

prayers are headed your way! i wish you the best! i had my first child with pitocin and i enjoyed my experience with my second child MUCH better. she came all naturale, no time for ANY meds at all. i hope your experience goes well!
R says
Lots of prayers! Good luck Katie, you can do this!
Lori says
Prayers for a quick, safe and relatively pain-free 🙂 delivery. Having been induced myself (I was strong-armed by my OB), I don’t blame you for preferring to wait for Will to decide his birth time. However, I was able to move around with the pitocen, just not the epidural. I can’t imagine having gone through it without the epidural. No matter how it happens, it will be amazing, because at the end, you will be a MOMMY! Yay!!!
Katie says
Wow! Thanks so much for keeping us “up to date.” And, what an incredible testament to the community of faith that surrounds you. I’ll be praying for you, baby Will, and your other half. God is good-all the time. May He answer your prayers in the way you desire. Blessings on this joyous time!
Jennie H. says
Sending prayers for a wonderful delivery-however it plays! God does what we need him to do and at the end of the day it won’t matter when you look in baby Will and your boyfriends eyes! Best wishes!

Lots and lots of prayers and easy labor vibes! I can’t wait to virtually meet your little Will!
🙂 <—— That is me using a lot of restraint and not giving you unsolicited advice.
I hope that you have a perfect birth experience!
Sherrie says
Will definitely pray for you. Trust your body to know what to do! Most of the time, it can be done w/out all of the modern interventions. I am thankful they are there if they are necessary. I have had 2 inductions w/ epi’s and 1 natural. A natural birth is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. I pray God gives you wisdom and discernment. Can’t wait to see pics of your son.
Corrie says
Praying for you, Jeremy and Will!!!
Becky says
good luck – you’ll do great 🙂
Sheyenne says
Prayers are definitely going your way. Though my birth experience was different than most, it was still the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced. I always thought people were weird when they said that, but now I totally get it. Hoping and praying your’s will be beautiful, natural, healthy and downright AWESOME!
Natalie says
Oh my gosh, I didn’t realize it was this soon! Woo Whoo! Congrats, everything will be just fine! I can’t wait to see the little guy 🙂 How exciting! Get some rest girlie!
Skooks says
Oh please, let your body work this out.
Don’t push the pitocin! I had that with my first and for me, it was kind of a terrible experience and I ended up with a section (I shunned all other drugs and did it natural all the way up to the end when after 2 hrs of pushing baby girl just was not wanting to come out). With my second I waited to go into labor (11 days late so I feel your pain – baby girl was 16 days late so I let the docs talk me into inducement even though she was fine in there according to NST, etc) and it was THE BEST. Laboring at home is way better than doing it all in the hospital. The car ride there was a little intense (not gonna lie), but my son was born without drugs 4 hours after we got there.
Either way you do it, Katie, you will be ok. Just know that waiting a few extra days (I know, they feel like an eternity) can yield such a better experience if baby is doing ok in there (sounds like he is).
So many blessings on you for a natural and smooth birthing process. YOU CAN DO THIS. No matter what way you do it, no matter how many people tell you that you should get an epidural or look at you crazy style for choosing not to, YOU CAN DO THIS. Your baby has a smart mama and you will make the choice that is right for you both. I’m so excited for you!!
Looking forward to “meeting” your little guy when you are able to share about it on your blog.
God bless you all. 🙂

All the very best, am praying for you 🙂

Ashley says
Katie I’m praying for you, Will and Jeremy. I’m praying for God’s peace to cover you tonight so that you can relax and let your body do its amazing labor thing! It sounds like with the mucus plug and contractions your body has already started early labor, just surrender to that. I hope that you can avoid induction since your body has already started doing it and that pitocin is painful. You can do it! May the Lord bless you and keep you and Will safe and healthy.
Heather says
I’ll certainly be praying for all 3 of you tonight, missy!
Amanda says
You and baby Will (and the boyfriend) will be in my prayers!!!

katie, another lurker coming out of the woodwork to let you know you and your family have been lifted in prayer. your faith is an inspiration to me! i can’t wait to hear that you are all safe and basking in baby bliss.
Christy says
I’m sending up more prayers on your behalf. The first kid is so exciting and frustrating when you are past due, they are telling you that you are going to have to be induced to speed things along, and all you want is a happy, healthy baby (naturally if at all possible). I’ve been there with my first – unfortunately or thankfully I didn’t actually go into labor because as soon as I started Pitocin – the contractions went to 2.5 minutes long and were about 45 seconds apart. Yeah. So my son’s heart rate started going crazy and I ended up needing to do a c-section – but it turned out he was 10.5 lbs – so I’m actually thankful I didn’t have to push that out! Anyway, God knows what’s best for you and for Will, and I will be praying that he gives you peace of mind during this exciting time.
Catherine @ waking up with you says
Sending lots of positive thoughts your way!

Good luck, Katie!!! I’ll send some good, strenthening vibes your way. You can do it, lady. =] Can’t wait to see what your baby boy looks like. Congrats, you love birds. Wicked excited for you. heart
Carol says
I’ve been praying for you each day and those prayers will continue – my boys were both May babies and will soon be 24 and 18. I got my wish and had a natural birth with #1 but pitocin and an epidural had to be used with #2. I’d vote natural (like you I hated being stuck in bed) but realize that sometimes you have to let medicine intervene. Praying hard for your family – keep moving as long as you can – it really helps! Your faith, the love of those around you and your wonderful view of life will sustain you through labor! Good luck!
Lynn says
Katie, going to say a prayer for a healthy, fast delivery for you and that beautiful baby. You will be great! 🙂
Kelly says
Good Luck Katie!
Beth says
Hey Katie,
I will definitely be praying for you and your family these next few days. How exciting and scary! We just had our daughter at the end of January. I did have to go on Pitocin because my water had broken and we were on the infection time crunch, but while on it, I was able to sit on an exercise ball, by the bed. It’s the epidural that makes you be in the bed. (I eventually couldn’t take it any more and had to get the epidural). Also, I think one thing that really helped my progression early on was that they started me on “Cytotec” (a little pill they stick up in your hoo ha). So I was able to have that for 5 hours before the pitocin drip was started. You should ask to see if they can start you that way.
Good luck!!!!!!
Beth

Good luck Katie! Thinking of you!!
Joanna says
Saying a prayer for you. I totally understand your desire to have a natural birth. I did with my second son and it was an awesome, uplifiting, experience. If you have not already, ask your midwife for ways to get things going au natural. Mine suggested some things to try when my water broke and labor stalled. I’m not going to go into it here, but they did work. Love you blog and can’t wait to hear about Will’s arrival!
Amber says
Congrats!! I’ll be lifting up a prayer for you and Will and your boyfriend 🙂

We had to induce in February and it wasn’t bad at all- I kind of wondered why thet weren’t cranking it up!In fact, nothing went on until they broke my eater then it was zero to sixty in the blink of an eye. Katie — sending good vibes your way. I was really determined not to be induced, but my baby boy had other plans at just about 41 weeks. Anyway, I was not totally bed ridden and was able to sit on the ball and in a rocker for part of the labor. It can be done! So, stay positive and know that tomorrow you’ll be holding your precious Will!

It’s 8:41am in Phoenix on Thursday, April 8th; prayers and continue to flow for your family and Will’s perfect arrival.

Praying for you. Sounds like a very good sign that you’re having contractions. I was scheduled to get induced and went into labor on my own hours before the induction. I had pretty much what you’re describing the day before. Good luck!

Katie, you will do just fine. Even if you have to be induced, it will be a smooth birthing process. I hoped for a natural birth, but my daughter wouldn’t turn fully. We found out later why (10″ imbilical cord) and my c-section was just fine. No regrets either way and yes, the epidural is very nice. Happy, happy. Can’t wait to see the first baby pictures and post of Hello Will!
Holly says
I’ll keep you & your family in my prayers!

Hi Katie!
Pretty recent lurker, coming out to say good luck and I’m sending prayers your way! I had 2 boys, Mother Nature had no plans for me going natural and at the end of the day, all went well. It’s weird, you don’t forget the somewhat unpleasant-ness of giving birth, but somehow most of us forge on and do it again (and again and again). Anyway, just letting you know that a stranger in Ohio is thinking of you (how bad does that sound???)! Good luck!
brooke says
I know this stinks..my first baby was 9 days late! But she did come with no drugs..But what you could try is having someone really rub the inside of your feet and legs for about a good Half an hour or so and have them use good pressure. Have them rub them feet and legs all over the place! I did this with my second baby and went into labor 2 hours later. You could go get a pedi or go see a massage therapist or just have Jeremy rub you good tonight! The feet have some pressure ponts for putting you into labor especially the inside of the feet.Hope that helps!
Jaye says
You are certainly in our prayers. Make sure you take care of yourself first!
Jessica {lovely jubbly london} says
de-lurking to wish you luck!
Lots of prayers coming your way.
Meghann says
OH WOW… ok will pray for you but being induced with pitocin does not mean that you have to stay in bed. I was hooked up to monitors that allowed me to walk around. Several hours later with no movement in the right direction they broke my water then the contractions were HORRIBLE!!!!! I ended up saying yes to the epidural as I had been in serious pain (contractions) for 4hrs and had only dilated .5 cent. YES.. ONLY .5 cent. So the drugs came… and I can tell you that after the epidural I was sooooo much better. I could rest, they cranked up the pitocin and several hours later my beautiful baby girl was born!
Just remember this… the Lord is the great physician and before going in we prayed that he would guide the nurses and the doctors hands as well as any support staff. We had a wonderful experience and even a scare for me afterwards… but we know that his hands played a huge part in our success.
Im excited for you! Yeah a baby!!!!!

Having had 4 babies with Pitocin, (they just never wanted to come out!) don’t worry. All will be well. When you hold the baby in your arms you will wonder what it was you were worried about!

Sounds like you are in the beginning of labor to me!! Praying the birth of your dreams! I have experienced nothing but natural drug free births and they have all beeen amazingly spiritual experiences to me and I dont mean that in a new-agey way. I mean I was talking to Jesus and felt His presence and experienced His love in ways I never have outside of birth. I pray you are able to have a similar ‘made just for you’ experience!! If you haven’t already!!
PS If he isnt already out, go walk walk walk, that will get little Will ready to come out!
Heather H says
Best wishes to you and your beautiful new baby boy! I was induced with both my kids (epidural!) and things went just fine. Which ever way he comes out you will do great!

Katie! I have been following your blog for the last year now and love it not only for your crazy sense of humor but also for the down to earth, no nonsense way you express your faith! All that to say, I believe in the power of prayer and although we have never met, I will be saying some serious prayers for you and Will today, sistah!

Katie…I wanted to tell you that I had to have pitocin when delivering my son on February 22. My circumstances didn’t allow me to have an epidural. It wasn’t the most pleasant experience, but I would do it again in a heart beat. The end product is worth the discomfort. Best of luck tomorrow. I can’t wait to see pictures.

I was induced but didnt have pitocin. I went in at 7AM they broke my water and then they hooked me up to my breast pump. 15 minutes three times and the contractions started. using a breast pump causes the body to secrete oxytocin. Honestly give it a shot it worked great for me. Good luck.

She also told me to walk 4 miles and eat spicy food. With in two days of doing all three of these I had a healthy happy baby girl. Good luck I pray that you have a fast easy labor.

I just wanted to say thanks for the warning at the top of the post! I didn’t read your post because I’m a girl who feels pretty squicky about the whole pg/babies concept in general, but I seriously can’t thank you enough for the courtesy! certainly I will pray. my labor came fast and out of the blue. I pushed forever but only had a small outer tear w/ no stitches required. for postpartum recovery I am thankful.
I had a sinus infection and was exhausted, so while I took various positions at diff points, the midwife had me labor on my back at certain points and it wasn’t that bad. let your fears go. God will hear your heart’s cry.

I have been following your blog for some time now. I will be saying prayers for you. Our little Granddaughter was born six months ago with Pitocin, epidural. Wish I could send you a photo. She is gorgeous, and very healthy. Love and prayers from Kennesaw.
