2015 was a huge year for us. We did so many things and tackled so many projects and we just wanted to put a little recap/thank you post out there because really and truly, we are so very grateful.
I always say that I have the best readers in the world – you guys send us Christmas cards and notes and gifts and encouragement and it literally makes our day. I love y’all and wanted to dedicate a whole post to just the sentiment of ‘you rock’, ‘we love you’ and ‘thank you for giving me the best job ever’.
We made a little video for you…
For those of you that can’t watch the video….In 2015 we were able to craft SO many projects and provide so many tutorials. We talked about waterproofing bathrooms, trends for the current year, tiling backsplashes, and our favorite tools. We tackled so many rooms and redid not one, but two decks (here and here). Plus, we added to our family with the arrival of our sweet Maxi Knight.
We worked with a lot of different brands in 2015 too. I know that some times people shy away from sponsored posts but in actuality, these sponsorships are what keeps this blog free and available 24-7! There are a lot of expenses with a blog that has so much content and we are grateful to them for partnering with us on projects and posts that are 100% organic and 100% our ideas and 100% our voice. Our vetting process is very stringent (we actually turn down majority of proposed brands & posts) and these companies made the cut. Not only do we recommend them on the blog but in real life too!
Thank you to each brand. We love introducing you to our readers and sharing the role you played in our year, the place you have in our home and the way you made our lives better. We are thankful that we got to partner with you in 2015 and can’t wait to work with you in the future.
Thank you also to our sweet, lovable and adorable kiddos. Will, Weston, LJ & Max – you boys mean the world to mommy & daddy and we are grateful that we get to spend every day with you. We are so proud of who you are becoming and your heart for loving others. Thank you so much for being patient with us and for letting us take your photo and for reminding us of the “why” everyday 🙂 Love you.

P.S. hope it’s not creepy, but we flew to Disney in Dec and stopped in Atlanta for a plane change and I was all “I’m in KB’s state… Wish I could just pop over and drool at her house, and snuggle baby Maxi Knight… then share my photos of my Max, and talk about the sweet things that all boy moms get to go through” then I remembered, we are besties in my head, not real life. But that’s your gift Katie, you make people feel like the know you, and welcomed to make crazy statements like the one above.

Bower family, this was just very sweet and touching. I’ve read some harsh critiques here at times and even felt critical myself a time or two. But over time I’ve grown as a person, as a mama, and as a supporter of nice folks doing something positive, and it’s made me step back and think of how I interpret things. I think that is why we read your blog. And much like my husband, I can tell you’ve got a great partner in Jeremy, who supports you because face it…..you’re the boss LOL. Kidding aside, how awesome to see a couple with kids, like me, just making it through and sharing the every day things. I think we would be worlds different in some spaces, but as far as loving our families? Well, I think that brings us all together. Doesn’t matter how we get there. But love the ones who love you back and really, it gets you everywhere and anywhere.
