This Sunday I thought I would pop in and share a few projects from the Bower Power archives that are fun, easy and can be done uber quick! I know that most of you probably don’t have the time to dig through five years worth of old posts…so me pulling some of these gems out from over the years is like cliff notes. And heaven knows how many folks depend on those to get through higher education 🙂
Easy way to update cheap frames
Turning a sheet into a shower curtain
Honey Vanilla Chamomile Headache Pillows
Spraypaint something…like a deer head
So now the question is in your ball court…do you like recaps like this? waste of time? you’ve read all the archives already so this is all repeat posts in your book? Should this be a regular Sunday event? Because I have to admit…saying Sunday Funday is really quite smile-inducing 🙂
katelyn says
YES!!! keep ’em coming! Sunday-Funday for LIFE! 🙂
Joanne says
Avid, dedicated reader and I liked this recap post- keep ’em coming!
Kim says
I enjoyed this post. Even though I’ve seen some of these projects before, some were new to me. Plus it is nice to have a bunch of project ideas in one place.
Bre B. says
I’ve read all of these posts but I still liked this because it refreshed my memory. Keep it!
Courtney says
I liked this post!!
I hadn’t seen some of them at all but thanks to your round up I was able to catch them.
Kristin says
Totally fun! I hadn’t seen the post about updating frames and it’s oh so timely for my current project.
Amanda says
Can’t stand them, sorry to say! I use Digg reader to follow blogs, so there’s little-to-no chance of “missing” a post, and I personally find it aggravating to have to scroll through a mile of links to things I have already read. I think the posts being linked to are amazing and great, I just don’t need to see them show up in my feed more than once!
Whitney Dupuis says
Love them!
Laura says
I like it! Especially since a lot of these projects are new to me since they were from before I started reading your blog.
Marcela says
This is very useful! I haven’t read all your posts sice I found you just over a year ago, so these are great! Keep reposting them 🙂
Jen P. says
Yes! I like this! I didn’t know about a couple of these projects.
Laura M says
Love it
Mandy says
Yes, keep em coming!
Megan says
I love this! Definitely would like to see this become a regular feature.
Laura says
I remembered all these as an avid reader. I don’t mind these posts. But what about Words from Will and Weston? I love Sherry and John’s Conversations with Clara …
Marianne K says
How about once a month rather than weekly? I like the refreshers, too, but might get bored seeing re-runs once a week…..
Amy says
Love this post! I had forgotten about a lot of these and saw at least two that I want to try now vs when you posted them the first time. I vote to keep Sunday Funday!
April says
Sure, why not? I’ve read most of them, but it’s still fun to be reminded of projects easy enough that even I could do. Plus I had missed the older ones (like the frames).
Monique says
I love it! I Only discovered your blog around 6 months ago so these are all new to me! Plus your Sunday is my Monday (I’m in Australia) so I need something to get me out of my Monday blues!
Lauren says
Love them. Maybe shorter so less annoying for others. Or in a collage so less length. But I think it’s a fun reminder. Could also do the evolution of a room or style. Like your dining rooms. And past valentines day posts all on one place.
Vica says
This was awesome! I know you have so much in those 5 years. You could easily made this like a monthly Blast from the DIY Past post.
Sarah says
Yes please keep them coming! I now have inspiration for a gallery wall that I was feeling discouraged with 🙂
Amanda says
I like this feature! To be honest, it is kind of difficult to navigate your archives, so as a relatively new reader I haven’t read some of the way back stuff.
Melissa says
Funday indeed! I read your blog regularly but like someone else said it was nice to have a reminder of things and to see the things that you wrote before I started reading. Great idea!
meg says
Thanks for sharing!
Love the sticker art. I must have missed that one!

I’ve browsed through the archives TONS and haven’t seen 3 of the 8 projects mentioned. I’ve already got another tab opened with the ones I haven’t yet viewed. 🙂

Yes! I like this idea because a lot of the projects you listed I have not seen before. Yeay for Sunday funday!
Lindsey says
I think posts like this are fun! I HATE working on weekends though, so when you asked if you should make this a regular post, I’m thinking no because I don’t want you to have to work on weekends! Friday Funday instead?
alisa says
i like it- would love to be inspired by things i can make to pretty my house. 🙂

I like the idea of seeing past projects. Even though I’ve read them all sometime you forget! But I think once a week would be too much. Maybe one a month or so?
Linda says
Love the round up of old posts! Definitely keep them coming!
Kati says
Keep the Cliff notes coming!
Amanda says
I’m really not a fan of recap posts… I come here looking for something new!
Annaliza says
I like it! I’ve only been reading your blog for a year and a half so some of the projects were new to me.
Jennifer S. says
Hi Katy,
I followed the link for the headache pillows and realized that you got it from Darby Stickler!
Sounds like you might know her personally? I really miss her blog. Every so often I still check to see if she has posted anything new…. If you talk to her, please tell her that a crazy lady in Canada who she has never met misses her 😉
Katie says
I have never met her in real life but that girl is amazing. She is on Instagram and pretty active on Pinterest too so definitely follow her!

I really like this post. I can just skip the one’s I allready read right?
I do remember when you spraypainted that beautiful globe tough, it really made me scream noooooo! to my computer. I really like the authentic old stuff 😉
Katie says
Absolutely! Just skip anything you don’t wanna read!

Ammie says
I love this Sunday edition idea! I’ve been reading forever, and have spent my fair share of time perusing archives and this is still a wonderful idea. Love it!
Maggie says
Love it! It’s like a seasonal reminder! KEep ’em coming!
Jen J says
I like the round-up. I had never seen three of those posts. I especially like the idea of putting tea leaves in the rice heating bag. I love my rice bag but I’m not fond of the rice smell. Think I’ll have to get my seam ripper out and add some tea leaves 🙂
Katie says
I love those too! I think they are so cute but I’m afraid that Will isn’t nearly as creative as Clara is verbally. He does say alot of funny and cute things (that Jer and I laugh at) but things that other people would think are funny? Maybe like two posts worth 🙂

Heather says
Love this! Yet ANOTHER post to read instead of working…keep them coming!
Mypatsyann says
I love this idea. All thumbs up.
Gina says
Is your Succulent garden/terrarium still alive?
Katie says
Yup…although they have gotten really leggy…I guess I’ll have to search how to avoid that problem!
