Warning: Longest random post in history. This sucker is like the bermuda triangle. You may not come out alive. You may become comatose after the first fifty photos. But if by some rare chance, you reach the end of this post with your appendages still intact and able to count to two…well, first you will know there is a God. Secondly, you will try exotic life-threatening adreneline junkie experience…like eating sushi, skinny-dipping with your parents and attempting public speaking…because you looked this beast in the eye and lived. And lastly…you will receive ten thousand Bower Power points. And that my friends is worth living for.
Do you know this man?
He doesn’t make appearances on this blog very often. In fact, I will award you eleventy points if you can answer correctly without help.
It’s my dad.
Any winners? Eleventy points to you. And a hearty congratulations. heck, I even award you 100 freebie calories today…but you gotta take em today or they expire and will count tomorrow.
And now you should thank my Pops because he makes this blog possible. He cleans the viruses off my computer and keeps it functional. Things you should now about him: he’s a closet nerd (16 years of math teachering will do that to a man). he’s pretty handy (he retiled his master bathroom). he owns a software company (thus making the virus-cleaning possible). he’s a golfer (and pretty darn good at it for an old man – joke dad).
oh…and he’s hilarious.
Did you know that I am one of four kids? I am. My poor mother.
The youngest, the baby of the family, is Timmy. Some of you call him Hot Tim…which gives me the shweebies.
I can imagine that this only adds to the ‘hotness’. The boys in my family are adreneline junkies. They might read this post just to risk their lives.
Clara is my neice. My older brother’s girl. And she is amazing.
She should play sports. She’s literally stronger than me. And she is aggressively tough.
But you know what? She’s a tomgirl…as in she should play sports but is totally girly through and through. She would rather wear sparkles and sequins and lipgloss than throw a ball…but one day she might by accident and nail Cole to the wall.
These photos are randomly put in here. Can you tell?
One of Will’s favorite toys is this green rattle. It was given to him by his pediatrician…who we adore.
Will stole Pugsley. I am sure Cole wasn’t too pleased.
Clara just recently got to ‘hold’ Will for the first time. She was thrilled.
She told me with her Alabama accent that “Well is my baaybee”. I love her little southern drawl.
This photo cracks me up. Mostly because Will looks like he’s saying “these people have no idea how to do photos, do they?”
All four of the cousins. I hope one day the cousin-photo is much bigger. Do you have lots of cousins? I don’t.
Cole is on a soccer team. His coach is very cool. Cole is known on the team as the slide-tackler. Actually that is the nice way to put it…Cole is known as the kid that falls down a lot. He’s also the littlest guy out there. But you know what? He’s not afraid of anyone. I’m glad that the abuse we give him is good for something.
Guess who runs the show around here?
It ain’t this guy:
Oh that’s Brad. His rapper name is El gorila. His spanish speaking friends gave him that one. He’s the funniest guy I know. If plumbing doesn’t work out, he should do standup. Seriously. He should be on SNL. That’s my vote.
Have you seen this photo before? It’s Will doing ‘so big’. It’s in the repetoire of tricks he can now do on command. He’s kinda like a dog…except a lot less cuddly. Never been a cuddler.
I have a small garden now. It’s very exciting. I need a sign that says “The Happy Garden” then it will be complete. Hopefully next year it will be twice this size. It’s weird but I feel more like a mom now that I have one.
This is one of Jeremy’s favorite onesies for Will. I think you can understand why.
Another trick…wait…you saw this one already.
You haven’t seen this one though – blowing kisses. Such a sweet little guy. This is for you Clara.
Sometimes we have dinner outside…I love it. We hardly ever did that at the old house…mostly because I was afraid of our deck.
Does Will know that our friend’s The Petersik’s baby girl Clara is his girlfriend? The answer to that is yes.
He gets to see her Flickr page with all her videos (click here and go down to Clara’s sidebar button to see more)…and he breaks out this huge grin…like an Austin-Powers-oh-yeah-baby kinda grin. We are so excited to visit with them soon. I wish they lived here…it would be so fun.
Will’s newest and our most favorite trick is dubbed the “Shakespeare Hand”. I have been known to scream at Jeremy who comes running with the camera to capture the elusive little trick.
We love how seriously he sets the sucker up and then how he holds it there while a string of babytalk streams from his lips. Best three seconds of my life.
I got a new highchair for Will. The other one is still well loved but this one allows for him to sit at the table too. Plus, we just have too many friends with babies and inevitably we always could use a second highchair…you know, for herding sake.
One of my friends, Brook celebrated her 30th birthday. Let me rephrase…Brook had a birthday, we celebrated having my mom babysit.
Did you know that in the last year we have dropped Will off for babysitting a total of three times? The only other time someone has watched him is during church or if Jeremy’s parents are over and want to watch Will while Jer&I get our kanoodle on. JOKE. We are sleeping.
The first time my mom watched Will, Jeremy & I went to dinner. We were amazed at how fast we got things done without a baby in tow.
I should make a sign in my house that says this:
Birthday girl getting her putt-putt on.
Those are white converse…love em.
Wouldn’t black lights be so fun for a dance party? I want to host a dance party with blacklights…
Totally weird and random photo.
Totally awesome photo.
Wanna know something I love about my boyfriend? Well, something else I love? I love that he takes dares. He isn’t afraid of a good ole fashioned dare….especially ones that get me jumping up and down while seal clapping with laughter.
I also love the sign.
That’s Ethan & Maggie. Apparently they are also boyfriend/girlfriend. Poor Will. Third wheel.
Update…Will loves the bike. He asks for it. He literally will stand at the garage door and cry till we go outside and then he heads straight for the bikes. When we are done riding, he claps. Then he cries when we take off the helmet.
And he hates hats…but he likes the helmet since it means a ride.
Some of you may think we have this perfect little baby. I assure you, you are wrong. He is a drama queen.
And a dare devil.
Cole, my sister’s little guy, is mildly obsessed with collecting caterpillars. I have been known to kill them when he isn’t looking. Dang rose-bush eaters.
The woods are getting gorgeouser and gorgeouser. Everything seems alive and green. Even bits of ground that I didn’t expect anything to grow are now covered with life. It’s amazing.
Here it is in transition. If you can believe it, it’s even more green now.
This is Cole’s tough man look. It cracks me up.
This is one of those pictures that makes me feel at ease. It’s so familiar. Dad at the grill.
Do you see all that food? Yeah, four and a half people were eating that day. That’s how we roll.
This photo scares the poo outta me. Will looks like a mini teenager somehow. I hate to love it.
As a thank you gift to Cole for the amazing job he did on the birthday puppet show, we gave him a helicopter puzzle.
It was $1 at Michaels…and now I want one. So cool.
More bugs.
heebie jeebies. I’m itchy all over now.
I love this dang kid. I love him so much.
My sister recently got engaged to Boots…and Cole is adjusting to the idea of moving and having a new dad and all that. I am so happy for Lori…but part of me is still nervous for Colebaby. Somehow I want to tell Boots that he needs to love on Cole more…like wrestle and hug and plan special events and have special handshakes. I know Boots loves him…but he has 6 years to make up for. That’s a whole lotta wrestling.
Jeremy is the most athletic guy I’ve ever met. I think it was one reason that I liked him. I could never be with someone less athletic than me. I would feel like I could beat him up.
My boy and his hoe.
Let’s just hope I don’t say that when he’s seventeen.
Will discovered the hose and it was his best friend until it turned on him. They are now frenemies.
Jeremy and I were chatting about Will’s eyes. Probably most of our kids will have dark eyes.
Jeremy’s eyes are blue…and I am starting to pray now that one day one of our kids will have them. Hey prayer warriors, will you help a vain sister out?
leftover ballons + potbellied toddler = hours of fun
Will loves looking at our neighbor’s lawn equipment. I do too.
Will’s ready for a bar miztvah. Anything for presents.
Notice the paci. We call it the fake paci. We found that Will will actually take this one…it’s been a miracle and a curse. Now we have to keep track of two pacifiers instead of just one.
Thoughtful Will.
I have a dream….
His hair is getting longer…and we both love it.
This is an all too familiar photo.
We tried out some different swings. You know, for the sake of science. And the results are the same.
Not really a fan.
I did however get the look that says “Mom get off the ground and stop embarrassing me”.
Will does however love the slide. And just watching people slide.
Also, I have noticed that when I go to the playground with my camera, a lot of other kids ask me to take their photo. I can’t even fake it because they always ask to see it. Then I have to spend ten minutes ignoring my own kid while I delete the random photos of the girl with the Barbie jeans on.
Will also loves the tractor. But you probably already gathered that.
I think it’s because Jeremy does this Lion King move while driving. If I were the responsible type, I would say let’s not do that…but let’s be honest, I am the one that says “Now throw him honey!”
Will’s highchair is from Goodwill. But I found the sticker on it from Ikea. I might paint it white. Right after I paint everything else in our house.
Last photo ya’ll! You made it!
Now pat yourself on the back for successfully ignoring work, children or wasting an hour of perfectly good time. And don’t forget your ten thousand points….I am keeping a tally 🙂
Bree C. says
That picture of Jeremy and Will Lion-kinging it on the tractor just seriously cracked me up. Hard.
Love this post. But I always enjoy a good rambling. 🙂
Joanne says
Just wanted to say the website is having issues it seems…takes a long time to load and freezes other sites that I am on at the same time. Just my computer?
Jessica says
LOVED this post. Thank you for all of the randomness. I laughed several times. 🙂
bex says
If it weren’t *slightly* creepy, I would absolutely print out and frame that pic of Will vs. hose. I SNORT-LAUGHED at it. The look on his face is priceless.
Jennifer Tingle says
So, does Jeremy laugh at you all the time? I really do laugh out loud when I read your posts. I personally think you should do random posts like this everyday! P.S. I knew it was your Dad. 🙂
jenn says
my dad has brown eyes and my mom has light green, every one in her family either has blue or light green eyes. my sister- first born has hazel eyes, dark green but sometimes brown looking. i- the middle child had blue eyes and my brother- the youngest has dark brown. brown is more dominant but it doesnt mean all your kiddies will pop out with dark eyes.
Whitney Dupuis says
I actually loved this post and all of its pictures. Great job!
Sandi says
I love your random post! You have such a great way with wording and are one clever girl! It’s just what I need every morning to read while at work to occupy my time!
Katie says
Yeah…Jeremy was a fluke in his family…and everyone in my family has brown or hazel…so we are bettin the odds that we are only getting dark eyes…although jenn I believe in the power of prayer…and I’m not afraid to use it on something as ridiculous as eye color 🙂

Katie says
It takes longer because of the number of photos that it needs to retrieve from Photobucket…and the number of visitors. Maybe later it will come through?

Heather says
I heart you kb 🙂 LOVE this post with all the random pictures. Thank you so much for letting us into a part of your lives.
Krysta @ Domestic for Dummies says
These random posts of your are my favorite! Keep em’ coming.
Shannon says
Cute post. The comment of “Will and his hoe” made my water come out my nose (at work, with auditors next to me)! Thanks!
Randa says
Awww, I love Will’s big brown eyes! But I know what you mean, I’m a brown-eyed-girl with a brown-eyed Mom and a green/gray-eyed Dad… so yes, I pray that one of my kids will have green/gray eyes, just for variety. 🙂
Kristen @ Popcorn on the Stove says
Oh my gosh, I actually started laughing at my desk when I saw the picture of Will with the hose! How adorable 🙂
Divina says
Love, love, LOVE the post. Any post with tons of pictures are the best – so are random thoughts. 🙂 Please share where you got Will’s shirt that says Mummy Loves Me
Kayla says
I have fifteen cousins on one side and ten on the other. And some of my cousins are my closest friends, and live less than two miles from my house. My cousins have given me the opportunity to act as a sister to them, and not just my actual blood sister. We have supported each other through so many major life moments. I know Will and Cole will have that kind of relationship forever! Such a blessing!
Lauren says
That was fun – like reading a scrapbook! Love the hose picture, reminds me of my son at that age (he’s 5 now – a big kid).
We have the same Ikea highchair. I love it. You are lucky you didn’t have to attach the legs. It looked simple, but I had a really hard time getting them all to sit evenly on the floor.
Now, I need to go take care of those 100 free calories.
Sarah K. says
“Will and his hoe. Let’s hope I’m not saying that when he’s 17″…..Best. Caption. Ever
Will and the hose….. Best. Picture. Ever
Seriously. This post made my uterus ache.
Nichole says
Totally made me laugh a couple time at the randomness…very fun!! Thanks! 😉
Kari W. says
I’ve been following your blog for awhile, but never commented. Today is the day – this post of ‘randomness’ cracked me up. Just what I needed to read during my 30 minutes of quiet time that I force my 4 year old to endure while the baby is sleeping. Loved loved loved the hose picture/caption, I burst out laughing. Made the 4 year old come running out of quiet time. But don’t worry, I won’t hold that against you.
Tiffany says
O…M….G…..I am sitting at work directly across from someone and did all I could to hide behind my computer screen, trying to not laugh out loud at Will’s Shakespeare hand! He is absolutely adorable and so serious with his dramatics!! Love it!
Dawn S. says
The picture with the hose made my day! I needed a good belly-laugh today!!
And the photo of Will and Jeremy on the tractor (posing, though the Lion King is cute too) is adorable! Your family builds such beautiful memories! You inspire me to get out more with my son to adventure around….I guess I have to re-acclimate to this southern heat sometime (just moved back to the South from 5 1/2 years in WI)
Alicia says
I totally agree… SO FUNNY!
Lyndsay @ Mr. & Mrs. says
Will with his hoe made me LOL! love these random posts 🙂
caseyplusplus says
100% ditto! The “frenemies” caption was what really made me lol. Loved this post! (Btw I am first time commenter, long-ish time reader :))
Jackie says
Ha ha, I laughed out loud at “Will discovered the hose and it was his best friend until it turned on him. They are now frenemies.” And the picture with it is hilarious. Great pictures, KB. And thanks for all the points!
Holli says
Katie- I absolutely LOVE your blog. I’ve been a YHL reader for awhile now and I’m so glad Sherrie posted the link to your site 🙂 You keep me entertained (when I’m actually supposed to be working) 🙂 Your son is the cutest!

Kate S. says
So funny!!!! Thanks
Shanna Watson says
you’ve got my belly hurting…LOL great pics!
Angela says
You may have though that was long and ramble-y, I though it was fabulous! Such a great glimpse into the lives of the people you love. Boyfriend and Will on the lawnmower pulling off the Lion King moves? Priceless!
Jenna says
My little dude just went down for his afternoon nap so I enjoyed an excuse to stop and put my feet up for a few!! And my son has the same Nike onsie in blue…also my hubbys fav…right next to the Lynyrd Skynyrd teeshirt he picked out for him!!! 🙂
Amanda M. says
“My boy and his hoe.” Katie, you crack me up! Love it!! And the lion king pose, and the 2nd to last highchair picture. Freaking love them all =)
Gunner loves tractors and we are planning on buying the bike seat that you did for little Miss. Layken! Are you two loving the seat? I see that Will is. Can Jeremy drive ok with Will in it?? Can’t wait.
hugs!
Emily says
Hi Katie! Your little guy is so cute. My son is just a few weeks younger than him so I love to read and see what Will is doing. Where did you get the shoes he has on in the pictures of him with the hose? I love them and I have been looking for some like that for my little boy.
Amy says
Love the randomness! 🙂 If I had a blog, I would so do this every day, because that’s just how I am.
As for the eyes…mine are dark, dark brown and my husband’s are green. We were so sure that our daughter would have my brown eyes. She has *bright* blue eyes…everyone is stunned! Now I’m secretly hoping that our next baby will have dark eyes…how bizarre am I? 🙂
short, sweet season says
Okay, the sick part is that my own baby is sleeping soundly, and instead of using his naptime to do laundry/dishes/pay bills/rest while I incubate our second child, I am oohing and aahing over pictures of other people’s babies!!! Agh! But I love this post.
Nicole says
LOVE.THIS.POST. Love it!! More, please!!
Kristen says
I loved this post! (And knew it was your Dad!) Will with the hose is the cutest picture ever. And I LOVE the picture of you and Cole. It seems like a perfect picture to capture all your outdoor adventures together.
Janelle says
Love your posts Katie….especially the rambling ones:)
Caroline says
Random posts are the best. You are hilarious. Like everyone, I laughed the whole time and it totally brightened my day. A few things I just have to say…
1. I’m glad Pugsley is getting so famous.
2. We need Lunar Golf in NC. So fun!
3. Cole is one lucky boy to have such an awesome family. And congrats to Lori and Boots!!!!
4. I love the water-hose picture. Hilarious.
5. The tractor picture made me laugh out loud. Does Will catch lots of bugs that way??
Lisa says
Katie, I deserve 20k points… loved your rambling post so much the first time, I had to read through again. I, too, got quite a chuckle out of the hose picture. I remember my now 17 year old son, doing the same thing. same look. giggle.
Meredith K A says
Can you please please please tell me where the “My Mummy Loves Me” shirt came from? I have friends expecting in July, and they would LOVE that shirt. I must know! I found a similar one on zazzle, but it was $18 and not nearly as cute.
Katie says
Hi Emily…they are from Target. And they were Will’s first real shoes…because they were more flexible.

Katie says
Oh yeah we are loving it. And we both can do it…although my boobs do make it a little tough for him to lean back to relax and it is definitely a workout 🙂

Do i see a babybump in the picture of will and your shadow? hhhmmmm?
Katie says
haha…I don’t know whether to take that as insult or as a really funny joke.
Nope no bun in the oven here…we still have a baby that wakes up every night. So another little Bower is not in the works.

Kelsey says
Oh Katie, you are hilarious and I love it!!

I have 33 cousins. First cousins. My mom was one of 10. That’s just her side. I don’t even know the number of second cousins I have since we firsters are all grown and some of us are grandparents. So there is that new generation that I don’t even know what to call. We can’t possibly pose for a photo. But wouldn’t you love to take that.
Loved every photo. Will is so adorable I could eat him with a spoon.
Liz says
Thanks for those 100 freebie calories. Its my husbands’ birthday today, so I’m gonna put those towards dessert 🙂
P.S. When I read “Now throw him honey” I did one of those awkward laughs that makes you choke on absolutely nothing and then turns into a little coughing fit. I’m glad I wasn’t at work.
BethanyB says
So read all of that. Random, odd, funny, and so Bower. Thanks. OH! and now I get 100 free calories AND ten thousand points plus eleventy for guessing it was your dad. Woot!…. I’m going to eat an Oreo now.
ps. LOVE Wills Shakespear and the garden.

Amy says
Ha! Totally cracked up reading it. I love your randomness!
Katrina says
I love all the random photographs!
I especially liked the helecopter toy. We bought similar ones (of old fashioned vehicles) for our wedding to put on the tables in the children’s room. The kids really got a kick out of them, when they weren’t running around outside or on the dance floor!
Katie V. says
I guessed it was your dad! You look a little like him. I’m gonna go have some ice cream and wine. 🙂 I read the blog while reading a bedtime book to my daughter and getting her ready for bed; she really enjoyed all of the photos. Hilarious post and great pictures!
Jessica says
My husband is sitting on the couch while I am reading your post (and laughing out loud), and he looks at me and says “I seriously need to call this blog girl and tell her you two need to be friends”. I happen to agree with him.
By the way, you have the most adorable kid. I am someone who has never really been sure about having kids of my own. I am a therapist for children who have special needs…. I love my job, but I also love going home at the end of the day to a “grown-ups only” zone. However, reading your blog really inspires me. In more ways than just home design…
Liz says
Ha. Should be husband’s. I only have one of them.
Leslie says
“My boy and his hoe” cracked me up b/c it hit close to home. I am always telling my boys to “leave the HOSE alone” {as they play outside in the backyard} and my husband responds, “so right on so many levels.” Every single time.
Lesley says
Laughed a bunch of times but “Now throw him honey” made me turn the computer to my husband to show him the tractor pic and say “we will have to copy this pose this summer” He actually looked at the computer laughed and asked “whose site is that?” You have no idea what progress that is.
kristi says
I thoroughly enjoyed this post. 🙂
Jessica says
I prayed one of my children would have blue eyes as my hubby does, and I got it 🙂 I also prayed my daughter would have hair – done!
Katie says
Actually Chris his biceps are anything but hairy. I even scrolled to see what you were talking about…and it must be the shadows and his freckles…but I assure you, those suckers are like Will’s bottom…except harder and sexier.

Katie says
Holey Shmoldy. That’s a lot of cousins. Let me rephrase that…that’s a lot of AWESOMENESS.

Amber says
I would like to cash in all my points for an 8 hour stretch of sleep! But if that’s asking too much I’ll take 5 🙂
My husband has dark brown eyes and mine are green but both of our boys have light blue eyes- they don’t even look like our kids 🙂 So, keep praying.

Ha! Oopsies! That’s a dangerous little question right there! Maybe the shadow pic was post-Meat Fest 2011.
Awesome post. You’re hysterical, Katie. Truly freaking funny.

*sigh* you’re hilarious. The shakespeare hand made my day, (as did Clara’s gang sign in the kitchen on yhl lol) and the hose picture/caption almost had me rofl’ing.
In other news, are the Petersiks also Christian? That would be awesome.
Amanda says
You might have considered it the “Longest random post in history” – I however consider it a good 20 minutes of getting out of work and oh how I thank you for that!!!! =)
Shhhhh don’t tell my boss.
cathy says
thanks for that post. it made me laugh out loud. will and the hose is my favorite!

“Let’s just hope I don’t say that when he’s seventeen.”
Now that cracked me up totally. I just hope when Will is 17 we get to still read your blog and hear about his teenage antics and the girls that will seriously not be good enough for him. It’ll be here before you know it!
Anna, Sydney says
“Will and his hoe” … I laughed so hard I almost broke wind (sorry). Not so attractive on a lady, but hardly my fault, right?
Kristin (Australia) says
Awesome post, loved it! I loved the one of Will with his hose (oops that came out wrong!) and photos of Will are always awesome… but I think my fave was the one of you and Cole, really lovely 🙂

I absolutely agree to this, Sarah! Those were my thoughts, too! 🙂

I love those shots of Cole. It’s clear you have a special relationship with him and it moves me whenever I read those posts. SO important for children to have that. Not all are so lucky. Kudos!

I love your random posts! Will is adorable. I am a daily follower of Young House Love & stumbled across you from your visit to Sherry & John.

Fabulous random post! I wanted to encourage you with the blue-eyed babies. My husband is a gorgeous Italian and I am a Heinz 57 white girl with brown hair and blue eyes. I like to call myself ‘alabaster’ to make me feel better. There are endless possibilities with the color combos of the babies. Who knew? I was so sure that we’d have dark babies, but those recessive genes pulled through. Woo hoo! Our eldest is ‘alabaster’ with green eyes and to-die-for dark wavy hair, the middle one has straight dark-blonde hair, ice blue eyes and olive skin, and our latest creation has almost black eyes, olive skin, and dark hair. God is good at mixing it up….gotta love it!
Candace says
That water-hose picture is the absolute BEST!
Oh, and I loooove having a big family, and want that for my kids: 27 cousins, 51 if you include spouses and the cousins’ children…. and even more considering I am close with my cousins’-cousins. Random. Awesome. Always interesting. But you know what the downside to that is? Thats 51+ names I can’t use for my kids because they are already taken!!!! Selfish.

Skooks says
You’re right. Totally random. But that comment about Will being frenemies with the hose was totally worth it.
Kim says
I have to comment on Cole’s soccer game photo and the fact that he is always falling down, because my husband played soccer his whole life (and still does just for fun, every Monday night for most of the year!) and his nickname when he was little was Tumbleweed for that very reason! He is an amazing player and has played in tournaments all over the US, Canada, and even Europe, so it definitely has nothing to do with ability. I also think it must have happened a lot more often back then because I really don’t think he falls down that much now (maybe you throw your body around less often as you get older haha). But it’s still a joke among his soccer buddies that in a game if he ever falls down at least one person will yell “GET UP TUMBLEWEED!!!” in a big booming voice which is apparently what their coach used to do.
P.S. I love your garden! We’re in the process of planning what we want to do with our disaster of a backyard, and I’m really trying to squeeze a little garden in there somehow. Love how yours looks!
Felicita says
Love seeing Will’s pictures! He is adorable.
I think you have good chances of getting a blue/green eyed baby. My parents both have brown eyes. Seriously dark brown eyes. I was born with green eyes. It definitely is possible. My grandmother(from my mom’s side) has green eyes and my great-grandmother has blue eyes. My grandfather(from my dad’s side) has gray eyes.
My grandmother(with the green eyes) had 5 kids – not one of her kids came out with light eyes but her grandchildren did. It skipped a generation, I guess.
My son was born with grayish eyes up until 9 months – then they turned hazelish. Now they are a beautiful chestnut brown.
I’m hoping my next child will have green eyes like me. 🙂 I’ll be praying with ya!

You are hilarious. Your comments are truly inspired. What a beautiful family you have and as much as I love Will’s eyes; I hope you have some blue eyed babies in your future.

You crack me up so bad!! Found you through your future family (The Petersiks) who are awesome too! My favorite was:
“My boy and his hoe. Let’s just hope I don’t say that when he’s seventeen.”
Your baby is soooo cute and is adding to my baby fever.

BAH stop taunting with Hottie Tim pics!!! I always said I was meant to live in the south…*sigh*
In other news, your child is precious, your hubby is smokin’, and you are maybe the twin I always swore I was separated from at birth.
That’ll be all.

way to stick up for your boyfriend! If we were on facebook and I had you as a friends and someone posted this (way to hypothetical 😛 ) then I would like this. haha.

I don’t know if you call it sticking up…in my Italian family, it’s good to be hairy. It means you are a man! I’ve even drawn little chest hairs on Will…just so he fits in 🙂

It’s funny that you were the first person to say something Laura. I guess that means you get ten extra Power points 🙂

KB you have done it again! Love your random, picture full posts. Especially when you give insights into your relationships with friends & family that don’t get a regular shout out on the blog. Like an earlier commenter said, it’s like flicking through a scrapbook, only so much more fun, because you are Hil-ar-ious!! I’m such a perve, I always love a pic of the boyfriends butt or Hotty Tim. And yes, it does make him hotter because you are creeped out by it. 😉

After viewing, the ‘longest random post in history’ I am absolutely in love with the Bower family and think you are freaking witty and hilarious!!! You have a new fan in Nor Cal!! Oh and BTW, you can totally have kids with drastically different eye color. Being half Mexican and marrying a Swiss, my first born (12 yr old girl) has BIG, BRIGHT, blue eyes. My 2 1/2 yr old twins (one blond, one brunette) both have brown eyes, one darker then the other. You never know!! And my blondie is BLONDE, toe head blonde. Love your house, love your style, love your family and I can’t wait to read more Bower Power!

This post was so hilarious…I’m trying to compose myself and not get any more weird looks at work. To give you some hope, I’ve got very dark hair and eyes, and my husband has dark hair and blue eyes and our little boy ended up with blue. I love it.

I got my 5 or 6 Pottery Barn books at a thrift store for 2 bucks a pop…best day of my life (kidding…kind of!)

Oh. My. God. That is the longest post in the history of the world!
My mom says there is nothing wrong with having a whole mess of brown eyed babies (she is brown eyed herself). With two green-grey-blue eyed daughters, she has three blue eyed grandchildren already. She has set brown eyes as criteria for acceptable potential daughters in law, with who my brother (with the brown eyes) is likely to have brown eyed children.

I’m late to the party on this, but just wanted to thank you for this post. Super funny, especially the hose pic. Classic. Someone once told me it’s easy to make people cry since most of us are on the verge of tears half the time, but it’s tough to make people laugh. You did that today with this post…several times. Go you! A kazillion bonus points coming your way 🙂

Ok, so I just found your blog like 45 minutes ago and since then I’ve been scanning through your posts laughing hysterically. Yes, I work, but mostly I sit at work and read blogs all day. I have a rather boring job.
I have a 15 month old and I understand about the short naps and clawing at your face. Most of the time, I get poked, or slapped…
Anyway, I love your FL posts, I just recently posted about my Gulf coast wedding. I love living in the south! I would love if you would check out my blog if you get a chance! I don’t have many posts because I work full-time(at my boring job) and bring the monster with me(that’s what I’ve called him since about 6 weeks in the womb when he started making me hurl like crazy) and I go to cosmetology school full time at night. Needless to say my weekends are full of the crap I should be doing during the week but have no time(I get out of school at 10pm). It’s amazing I have time to shower. Hope to talk with you soon!
