So my maternity clothing was lost. I know. It sounds crazy…but it’s true. I gave my sister a bunch of bins filled with a ton of maternity clothing from my first four pregnancies….and she swears that she returned them….and I totally believe her because she has it more together than I do. I also found one of the bins….so evidence. But SOMEWHERE three more bins filled with my stretchy pants and cute belly-friendly shirts are hiding. We don’t know where. Jeremy thinks that it is possible that we may have thought they were the bins that were filled with old clothing that we donated. Not that I would have fit in my old stuff….I mean…like whoa these hips. My sister dug out all her pregnancy friendly stuff and so I’m not running around completely naked. Although I want to.
But OH DARN, it means that I have to get some more maternity clothing 🙂 Woe is me. I say that with the biggest smile ever.
So during the recent Old Navy/Gap and Target sales, I stocked up. And here are some of my purchases….
But is there anything I should be adding to the closet? Any big maternity breakthrough brands that I should know about? Spill those details y’all…you are way more fashionable 🙂

Has anyone used a maternity clothing subscription service? I’m not (and have never been) pregnant, but I use Le Tote now and I know they have maternity and it intrigues me for the future…

Maternity sunglasses and maternity purses for the win!!! LOL
After four pregnancies of use, you are entitled to a few new pieces even if you could find the old stuff. Happy shopping (and LOVE the selections you’ve made already)

I love your maternity sunglasses! B)

I LOVE the swimsuit and that kimono top is super cute.
I’m due in 4 weeks, so my go-to maternity look is Jessica Simpson maternity jeans (underbelly waist band with the side panels opposed to the big front panel) with a tank top that shows off the bump, and a cardigan/open sweater. If you can get your hands on some of the JS jeans, I would highly recommend them! They’re so comfy and sized a little large, so getting to wear a medium when I’m really a large has been fun 😉

asos has really great maternity options and they are very affordable! The sizing runs a little small, so order up. This time around I really appreciate the dresses that have nursing panels so that you can wear them postpartum too…

Pink Blush Maternity–I wanted all the dresses when I was pregnant, especially during the summer months. The wrap dresses work really well for nursing after baby is born too.

I just have to say thank you for pointing out those H&M t-shirts a few weeks ago. I ordered 3 of them, and I am living in those things. They are long enough, comfortable, the material is soft, but yet not see-through, like many of the shirts I got from other stores. They are fantastic, and perfect for the last month or two – I would have been swimming in them before that.
I found a few good things at Kohls, and am especially grateful for the dress pants I got there – ordered in 4 colors. I work at a college, so I’m happy to have comfortable dress clothes.

H&M! I had no idea they had a maternity section until I was pregnant with twinners and yeah, I did NOT have enough large shirts 😉 Very cute stuff, and our mall has great clearances regularly.

Uh oh…I feel like I just got all of these items too, especially the Old Navy…who can beat those sale prices?! But…I don’t think I’m pregnant so…whoops 😉

I am currently 30 weeks into my 4th pregnancy and have recently discovered asos.com for trendy maternity pieces. I am not a huge fan of maternity style overall but have found some cute pieces online that fit great. And, recently ordered my Easter dress from pinkblush.com. Two fun sources, I have recently discovered. Excited for your growing family!!

Amazon actually has a ton of maternity clothes, nice brands. And bonus lots of reviews so you know if you’re getting something good!

I really loved the belly band. I bought mine at target. I used it with my last 2 pregnancies. I’ve got 6 girls Congratulations!!!!

Those drawstring linen shorts are calling my name…anyone know where I can find a pair with a longer inseam? the Old Navy ones are all around 4in it looks like…

I just had my second babe and ordered some dresses from pink blush maternity and LOVED them. Affordable and I got compliments every time I wore them.

I got a belly band for this pregnancy and it has been the best! I hate maternity pants, so my belly band allows me to wear my normal jeans with the button undone with my modesty intact and no pants slipping! Plus I can fold it so it goes under my tummy, or have it flipped up for some belly support. I don’t know if it would work for everyone, though. I have a HUGE belly, but I lose a lot of weight in the beginning because of morning sickness, so I spend the second half putting it back on the rest of me. But I haven’t worn maternity pants this entire pregnancy; I’m due any day now and my belly band plus nonmaternity jeans are still going strong.

The black with the polka dots is cute! Milk, Au Lait, Ripe Maternity. All a little pricier but so good. Quality fabrics, flattering fits, the nursing access is so easy without looking like nursing tops. Sign up for the emails and get the discount codes. The sale sections are my favourites.

Hi Katie! Long-time reader, infrequent commenter. H&M has some surprisingly quality options and I found their sizing pretty consistent. Asos.com has awesome finds at reasonable prices, especially for nicer dresses. Their UK to US size conversions aren’t great though so I found I could wear anything from a 2-8 depending on the item. I suggest ordering a few different sizes and returning what doesn’t fit, their return process was super quick and easy. Congrats on the little lady, she is going to be such a special and loved baby girl! ❤

Girl, I love your style!!! You are one of my maternity style icons! In fact I love it so much, I just bought 4 of those Gap pieces – including that fabulous tote. Oh, and I can’t wait to see what you do for baby girl clothes!

I liked kohls and Macy maternity wear. The shorts, I still wear shhh.

CONGRATS on baby girl! I had my first baby, a baby girl, last September so I was very pregnant during the summer and loved regular maxi dresses from Old Navy… also great post partum and I can wear then now. I also had several actual maternity dresses and paired them all with kimono wraps and cardigans. Loved the comfort and look.

That’s a great suggestion!

Yes! Stitch Fix is amazing! They have maternity and regular clothes. Shoes, accessories…and they recently started styling men, too. I’m hooked. So much easier to have someone else style me and mail me the clothes than to put real pants on in order to go to a real store. I’ll toss my referral link up here if you’re interested in checking them out!

Not pregnant but I needed a pair of shorts so after reading this, I took myself to old Navy…those linen shorts are great! The fabric has a nice weight (not see through) and the color options are really good. I ended up with black but was super tempted by the pink ones! Definitely recommend!
Jessica Phillips says
I got a box of a Stitch Fix maternity clothes and ended up with a great pencil skirt and a top that I wore all the time to work when pregnant. I actually was able to keep wearing the skirt post partum. I also loved Jessica Simpson seamless undies I found at TJ Maxx. So comfy!

I could kiss your face off. I’ve been looking everywhere for those Croc sandals (sexi flip) and could only find them in an obnoxious blue and pink. I literally wore through a leopard print pair I got a few years ago.

Hi Katie,
Long time reader!!! I think you and I are due around the same time and both with baby girls!!! Congrats!!!!
Will you please let me/us know about that bathing suit? I’ve been eyeing it for a few weeks now and would like to know how it fits.
Thanks!! Love your blog!!!

Le Tote maternity is AMAZING. I used i throughout my second pregnancy and liked it so much better than buying the full wardrobe. Particularly great bc you can pick different sizes as you grow. For me, it definitely saved money while giving me a more exciting, rotating wardrobe.
