This is a sponsored post brought to you by Sprout It.
My green thumb extends to tomatoes, peppers, basil and rosemary. And then it turns yellow with black tips, withered and dry, and falls to the ground. dead. I can not for the life of me figure out why.
Last year I shared my garden with you and my growing-food issues. Well, would you know that some other folks have had this same problem. And finally someone has a way to help us wanna-be-gardeners out. I’m glad to introduce Sprout it – the app that takes the guesswork out of gardening to make growing your own veggies and herbs simple. I’m gonna be a crunchy mama yet! It has info on everything from start to GET-IN-MY-TUMMY!
And if that helpful app wasn’t enough…let’s talk prizes. Everyone has that spot in their yard or patio that could use a little sprucing up. You want to fix it up, but don’t know what to do or where to begin. Enter the Sprout it Backyard Takeover! This summer, in celebration of the launch of their new Sprout it iPad app, Sprout it is giving fans a chance to win an outdoor revamp, plus over $1,500 in cash prizes to make it happen.
- SNAP A PIC – take a photo of a spot in your yard that could use a little extra inspiration and love.
- UPLOAD A PIC – upload it to Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #GrowInspired
- CLAIM A PIC – visit the Back Yard Takeover site to claim your photo
- THAT’s IT! – no really…you are officially entered.
On July 10th, the grand-prize winner will receive a free backyard design plan courtesy of DIY home design bloggers Chris and Julia Marcum of Chris Loves Julia, plus a budget of $1,000 to make it happen! Yes. THE Chris and Julia.

I will have to check out this app- I’ve already had quandaries over aphids on my cilantro and my herbs trying to bolt before I get enough leafy harvests. An app for that sounds pretty darn convenient! Thanks for the tip 🙂

can this app be used on the kindle fire? do you know?
Julia @ Chris Loves Julia says
Hahaha! I just showed Chris your illustration and we are both dying. He would probably prefer holding a kitchen utensil (or boob grabber!) over a paint roller.
