In college, seven out of ten of my toe nails fell off.  Gross.  I know.  I was playing soccer and breaking in some cleats during camp….it wasn’t pretty.  Ever since that time, I kinda had this thing where I was insecure wearing open toe shoes.  That is hard here in the south where flip-flops are considered the little black dress of the shoe world.  It’s also hard because I love shoes.  And sandals are no exception.

Yes, I squeezed my swollen feet into those bad boys and felt instantly like a runway model.  Granted, I could barely see them from my view but just knowing that my soul was out there for everyone to see is very liberating.

And yes…I have all ten of my toe nails…most of the time.

    I’m cursed with cankles and thick calves so finding a boot that looks cute and actually FITS over my tree trunks is a miracle.

  11. Loling so hard at your toenail problems because I too feel your pain! I bruised my big toenail in a dance floor accident 3 years ago and it fell off and is FINALLLLY starting to grow back slowly. What a pain, and I am with you being super sell aware of it always being there. I never wear sandals, the closest I will do is a peep toe, and I’ve always fake painted where the nail was, cause I’m at freak like that!

    That being said, I’m totally ordering those shoes… They are too cute to pass up.

    I’m with you on never knowing what to buy. For a giveaway, I’d say go for heels or something you won’t wear as much. But for investments, I also go for things I get a lot of use out of.
