Thank you guys so much. really. I can’t say much more. Oh. I can tell you that my darlin’ boyfriend will very much enjoy his birthday mountain bike magazine subscription. He’s really into biking. I guess I never shared that before. Here’s an old video of him in action:
The Boyfriend & His Bicycle from Katie Bower on Vimeo.
So thanks. Since my love language is gift giving – it meant a lot to me to be able to buy him something without using his hard earned money.
Don’t know what the heck I am talking about? Well, I posted about a few prints that I created that I decided to make available to the masses. I offered the digital files at $5. And now I wanted to share with you some new additions to the Bower Power Print Shop.
There are some neutral christmasy prints ($4 a piece or $10 for all three):
And some photography prints of some historic old doors and windows, ($5 each or $10 for all three)…
and a seaside three pack:
and a bunch more of the woodsy ones that are in Will’s nursery.
And all you have to do is go to the little page next to the home tab on the header and click on Print Shop to see the slew of digital print options available.
Also, this might be crazy (like-what-the-heck-is-she-thinking-looney-tunes) but I am offering some photoshop services for the upcoming holiday. Through December, I am available to ‘rent’ out my photoshop skills for high resolution photo editing. Maybe you have a photo you love for a christmas card but you think it may need just an extra little something? Well, I might be able to help. This is offered on a limited time…and I can only take so many (because of time constraints and because I wanna make sure you get the look you’re going for) but I would love to be able to see your photo and tell you whether or not it would be something I can touch up, give an extra boost to, and make it something you would be proud to send to your friends and family.
(that’s reader Emily’s little girl – isn’t she darling?!)
My cost is pretty simple ($10 max – and you get a fully edited version in both color and black & white). Obviously, this is on a first come, first served basis.
All you have to do is email me with your photo attached and please detail what you would like to change specifically as you can. Thanks so much again for all your support and I appreciate you contributing to making Bower Power a little bit more self-sufficient 🙂

Hi Katie! I read your blog daily and just ADORE your sense of humor. You seem like someone I’d be friends with. Haha! I absolutely loooove your door prints. And I’d love to order the 3-pack. I had a couple stupid questions about them. Are they just digital and I have to print them? Or do you print them out for me? If you do…what size are they? Thanks so much!
brandt @ New House on the Blog says
Oh noes! Your coding is wrong for the video! I think you forgot a break in the video tagline:
“</iframe src"
Holly says
Never mind! Blonde moment…I saw the description. 🙂
Katie says
Hi Holly!
Aww – thanks and you can count me as a virtual friend…even if we’ve never met in person 🙂
Now to your questions – they are the digital file…so you can print them at your leisure. I did the math and if I just charged $10 plus shipping it would cost more than just you guys getting whatever size you want so I decided to help ya save on shipping and this way you can get your custom size as many times as you want 🙂 The photos are cropped to 4×6 dimensions BUT since they are all high resolution, you can print them out much bigger and place in a bigger frame. Hope this helps!

Eeek! Thanks Brandt! Hopefully now it is fixed! What would a girl do without bloggy friends like you?

Thanks so much Katie! I placed an order. Keep the pretty pictures coming! 🙂

Love the Christmas tree and the doors! Will order some when not at work 🙂

There are so many pretty prints to choose from! I can’t wait to go home and find a place to hang them. I think this is a genius idea Katie!
Keeley says
Katie, you are one smart businesswoman! Your Photoshop services are a great idea. I give you props for using your talent to generate some revenue.
Krista says
What a great idea with the prints. A very sustainable way to keep up with a hobby. I also love photography and have been looking improve my PhotoShop skills. I suck at it. I’ve even taken a class and I’m still so confused. Got any suggestions for a girl? And you are so not alone with your boyfriend and his bicycle. My boyfriend also really loves his bicycle. And when I say boyfriend, I mean husband. And when I say bicycle, I really mean bicycles. I wish you guys lived closer. We just moved to Charlotte & don’t know anyone. I think we’d be great friends!

Just about this time last year I was searching the web madly for someone who offered editing services! It’s definitely a niche that hasn’t been tapped, great idea!
Katie says
Great Cait! So glad you like em!

I ordered your seaside 3 pack! Love them!
Skooks says
LOL! My husband is a total biker too. He only wishes we had our own woods so he could make his own bike trail.

As soon as I read this I changed my daughter into her Christmas outfit and put her in front of the tree for an impromptu photo shoot, but she decided she would rather undecorate the tree and take all the bows off the presents! She refused to smile! As soon as she wakes up from her nap in an hour or so I’m going to try again! This is a great idea! I’ve been trying to get a good Christmas card photo for a week now! I’m so excited!
Cindy says
Great idea, Katie. I’m interested in the “doors,” so you’ll probably be getting an email from me.
Question, is it possible to remove a dark shadow from someone’s face? Once I find the photo, I’ll send it to you so you can see what I’m talking about. A good photographer, I’m not! No patience…

You totally need to open up an Etsy shop….I bet you could earn enough money to buy the boyfriend lots of xmas gifts!

Yay! Thanks Stephanie!
I can’t wait to get the conch shell one myself in a big ole frame and put it on our summer mantle!

Hi Katie!
This is probably a dumb question but does it matter that I’m ordering from Australia? Does Paypal work out the rate in Australian dollars or something?
The photos are gorgeous, I am in love with the seaside prints!

Darn it! I just ordered my Christmas cards (after painstakingly editing a photo of me and the hubby myself) and I just know you would have done a WAY better job than me!! Can I hire you in advance for next year’s Christmas cards??
P.S. Next year I’ll have a new subject to photograph – baby due in May! 🙂
Alisa says
Yaaay! I do believe you not only just gave me a way to fill up all those picture frames I bought on Black Friday, but you also just helped me figure out the direction we need to take our master bedroom! I ordered the door prints and am too excited. Thanks so much! And I agree that you need to open an Etsy shop– you’d bank it over there!
Patti Brown says
Yay! So glad you’re selling prints. LOVE those door prints, excellent work! Best wishes on this leg of your journey. Blessings, PB

It’s a deal Shana!

Hi Amy,
I think that Paypal is international and does the conversion when you order 🙂 I think.

I’m so happy your print shop is doing so well! I love all the new items. You’re making me wish I needed some artwork right now!
Relevant Notes says
Woah, those are some mad photo shop skills. I’ve been meaning to learn how to really use the program (not click around frantically until things start to look better, which has been my current strategy up until now). Did you teach yourself?
Katie says
Yup. Self-taught. Crazy what you can learn from reading, huh?

Love the biking video. He reminds me of my husband a BIG KID! His “bike path” project is restoring a convertible (he dreams of us driving to the beach in it!)
Our house came with an MG car and he’s been working on restoring it. He never even changed oil before and he got it running after 25 years! They seem to have a lot in common like a great attitude.
