Your baby photos are just amaaaazing. My husband and I are just about 6 weeks pregnant with our first (after TTC since December) but ever since last year I’ve been planning all of the things that I want to do for our little one – our nursery, our weekly photos (like YHL) and also maternity and newborn photos. I am so inspired by your photography, I only wish there was someone in San Diego who had your eye. If you ever find yourself in California, I hope I can talk you into doing some photos for us! I make a mean bacon tarte 🙂

Get Me Steamy!
My kids thought it would be fun to spread the food they were eating on the dining table and eat off of it. Out came the spaghetti, fruits, little pieces of bread all over the table and floor. They then proceeded to touch their red sauce filled hands onto the table, kitchen cabinets, floor and even the walls.
Just when I thought I’d be done cleaning one area, I found a whole new place that had their signatures on them. It was a lot of work and I was a bit hard on them, but in the end, their happy messy faces made up for it.
I could really really use a steam mop, because I mop everyday! Get me steamy!
that closeup with the big flower on her little peanut head just makes me gooey, i wish i was closer to you so you could do some pics for us!!

We usually put a timer on one of the lights in the Living Room, turn the baby monitor off when we leave, and put a radio on. (Radio’s usually on talk radio when we are not at home, that way it sounds like someone is talking.) However, I have heard you should have the lights on a timer even when you are home. That way it sets a schedule. How many times has it happened where you thought you’d be home before dark, but ran late and don’t have a light on to greet you? So, we purchased some nice timers from GW and I’m planning setting it all up tomorrow.
Also thought about putting one on our 5 year olds desk light. I’m trying to work on him not getting up at 5:00AM. I’ll set the timer for 6:30 and he can’t come out until the light comes on. Praying it works! (I am NOT a morning person, at least before 6:15AM.)
Also, we have learned our lesson regarding leaving windows open when we leave. (Not because we have had any visitor problems. Thank the Lord!!!) Most recently we went to a Green Bay Packer Practice, about 2 hours away, with beautiful blue skies and not a cloud in sight. We got there and the skies opened and poured and the wind blew. The inside of our house got a good cleaning! So, lesson learned, when going to the grocery store or far away, the windows get closed. Weather or visitor prevention.
We live in the country, on a rustic road. We take care of a neighbors house when he goes on fishing tournaments. So he watches our house when, on the VERY rare occasion, we get to go to the Cabin.

The second San Diegan who wishes you were here….I’m not even pregnant, so if you ever plan to come to SD, let me know, and me and hubs will work on it so you can take our maternity/newborn photos 😉 And since two of us from San Diego want you, that should justify a trip out here, right? Riiiight???!!
I especially love the one of baby with the flower headband close-up. Perfect!
