Dear January,
How did you manage to lift that two by four and whack me upside the head? Have you been working out? I think we both know the answer to that question. And consider me impressed.
In case I haven’t told you, I like you. I like you a lot. I like you so much for so many reasons – you inspire me to be more organized, you force me to clean the house, you put a whole lot of git-er-done in my life.
January – look at how much we blogged about together…this is for you baby…you are the giggle to my Drew Barrymore, you are the bacon bits to my salad, you are the endorphines to my workout.

SPONSORS:
Bower Power sponsors are super heros. Seriously. They help us pay the bills around casa de la Bower…because let’s face it, home renovations take money and blogging takes some moolah and things like food, indoor plumbing, and electricity all cost a pretty penny. So to us, these fine guys are our heros. And the super word comes in because that is exactly what they have to offer all of you…super duper items. check em out.
Handmade by KP carries highly functional handcrafted items with fun fabrics and modern prints. Items like reusable market bags to baby bow ties. I am obsessed with the bow ties. OBSESSED. I need them all. like now.
Evgie Nev is one amazing decal shop. Perfect for those soon-to-be moms who want to have their nurseries look special without a ton of work – slap one of these gorg decals on the wall and welcome your little one home in style. So cute it’s ridiculous. Oh and if they ever outgrow it, well, it’s a decal…just peel it off! Plus, you get 10% off with the code ‘bpblog’ so all the more reason to shop 🙂 The birdcage hanging in the trees one? Yeah…perfection.
I have fixation with my Scentsy burners and bricks. And I basically walk around sniffing Will whenever he falls asleep on his Scentsy Buddy…it’s divine. So I wouldn’t mind him having another smell-good friend in his room…or in mine 🙂 And yes, I tried out the fake burners and bricks at Walmart…so NOT the same. This is the real stuff and it is worth every dang penny. Psst – isn’t it funny how the Casbah burner is something straight off the cover of the latest West Elm catalog.
My own brother – yup, he’s a master plumber in the dirty south. And yes, he definitely sees his fair share of the ‘dirty’. This link is to his facebook page which has his number and if you are in the greater Birmingham area, he’s honest, affordable and hilarious. So that toilet or shower that you have been wanting to update for the new year can finally be a reality.
Thanks y’all for supporting us. Thanks for your time. Thanks for reading.
And thanks January for being so fresh. so fresh and so clean clean.

I am all about the Scentsy stuff. You obviously love the Scentsy Buddy, and I’ve thought of getting one for my little guy, but I was wondering if you find the scents too strong? Or maybe they tone them down a bit for the Buddy? Or do you have a favorite scent that you use in Will’s Buddy? Just curious, I don’t really want something super overpowering so I thought I’d see what your opinion is!
Mary-Beth at short, sweet season says
OH. My. Gosh. How did I manage to miss the redneck family photos post? I just looked at it and was dying laughing. Those pictures are AWESOME!!! I am still chuckling. Also, I am only the teeniest bit irritated that you don’t seem to have any stretch marks after having a baby. Boo! 🙂

I do – they are on the side of my muffin top – so when I put my hands on my hips, they are hidden 🙂

Well, I think that in general, Will’s room tends to be rather stinky – what with diapers and the fact that he is a smelly boy…so I will do anything to mask that…we have Febreeze in his diaper drawer to spray at random times…and the Buddy helps in the crib area…but it’s not overpowering. I prefer the newborn scent…with smells like baby powder 🙂

My finger and my thumb are in the shape of an L on my forehead. LOSER, that’s me. You got soooo much done this past month. I don’t think I even got the chance to mop my kitchen. I am itchin’ to work on projects. Maybe when my boys are 5.
Megan says
I’m jealous of all the work you’ve done this month!!! Wow! I’m like Jessica above, I’m not sure if I have time to mop the floors… but maybe that’s because I’m checking out your blog so much! Love everything, especially the new kitchen area!!!
Sara says
