***Yes…I am late on this. Just like everything in my life. Seriously…I think our church believes we can not physically arrive before the sermon begins. So I’m playing catchup. expect more 😉
April was a big month for us…mostly because we saw one big space transform with white trim….which gives me hope for the rest of the house. Lifechanging. That’s the word I would choose for white trim. But we also were able to celebrate our other big DIY project – Will – as he turned the big ohtwo on a holiday weekend….EASTER!

SPONSORS:
Did you know that along with having the best readers in the world, I also have the best sponsors? I do. It’s a fact. And I can not tell you how happy I am to share them with you. It’s like introducing peanut butter and chocolate. peanut butter and jelly. peanut butter and bacon. bacon and anything else. The point is – you will get a long just dandy. Happy clicking
An awesome photographer named Patti Brown created this line of tutorials and tools for hobbyist and professional photographers. Have you learned how to do overlays or textures on your photos yet? It’s addicting. And Patti’s line can help you find your niche in ‘style’ – just check out how they work here.
here’s the original:
and here are two versions of the same with her Kaleidescope products:
So so cool, huh!? It’s like instant art
Have you seen these pillows? You are totally missing out.
That first one is the sauce in awesomesauce. And they provide all sorts of custom work – so if you have a dream pillow – they can make it happen. Check out Tootledoo by clicking here.
Evgie Nev is one amazing decal shop. I know I’ve said it before but decals are awesome for renters, churchs, even nurserys that you don’t want to commit to painting over. Just slap a decal on and call it done. Plus, you can custom choose colors to make it match your vision perfectly! And you get 10% off with the code ‘bpblog’ so all the more reason to shop
I have fixation with my Scentsy burners and bricks. And just in case you need an instruction guide – here’s how it works, you buy a full size burner and a pack of bricks. Two weeks later you realize you are addicted and buy more bricks. It doesn’t matter what scent – they are all amazing. REPEAT. Right now I am sniffing Lush Gardenia. And it. is. thrilling.
My own brother – yup, he’s a master plumber in the dirty south. And yes, he definitely sees his fair share of the ‘dirty’. This link is to his facebook page which has his number and if you are in the greater Birmingham area, he’s honest, affordable and hilarious. So that bathroom issue? He can tackle the plumbing part of it
So that’s it folks – March as it was. Thanks to all of you who made it spectacular.

Would you mind sharing where you got the capiz chandelier, or maybe a place you’ve seen some good ones?
Heather says
I had a tee pee as a child and loved it. Melts my heart to see Wills loving it too. (Wills like Prince Wills). King of his castle!!
Katie says
I got that one at West Elm…but I’ve seen them at a lot of places…even DIY versions….you might just wanna google Capiz chandelier 🙂

It came out great! I just love how it looks in Will’s room too. I’m sure he adores it as well:)

Hi Katie, sorry for a random question. 🙂 Can you teach us how you hang pictures on your walls? I adore the white frames along your stairs and want to do similar in my home. Did you have to use nails at all? What if you decided to arrange them differently?
Jennifer says
Hey Katie,
Your post’s “sponsor” part is the exact same as last month.
“So that’s it folks – March as it was. Thanks to all of you who made it spectacular.”
Just a helpful FYI.

I just LOVE those newborn photos! I just welcomed baby number 1 into the world and need those shots in my life. Do you do photo sessions that are out of town?
Nichole says
Love to see our engagement pictures pop up on your blog so much 🙂 We are still so in love with them, Katie! Now that I have a baby boy, we will have to get our little ones together when your newest arrives!!!

Did you continue the pregnancy weekly photos?? We want to see that growing bump!
Olivia says
Are you going to keep doing pregnancy updates? Love those!
Ammie says
Hey Katie – the end of the post says “March as it was” (even though it’s April’s summary/overview) =)
Kate says
Katie – you say April in the title of the post but then say March in the last paragraph…just helping a sister out. 🙂
Katie says
Sleep deprivation. Bacon deprivation. oh wait I had that yesterday. brain deprivation.

Katie says
I know – sleep deprivation. I honestly don’t know what month it is. The guy at Hobby Lobby knows because the other day I told him it was June.
yeah.

Katie says
I just use picture hanger kits with the nail and hook and wire on the back of the frame. and if I decided to arrange them differently…I’d have loads of tiny holes 🙂

Ammie says
My thought exactly, besides baby brain + a toddler = duh?!
And I wasn’t trying to be the blog-police or anything, I just didn’t know if you were a ‘leaver’ or ‘changer’ when it comes to stuff like that =)
Katie says
Totally a leaver…. Thanks for letting me know though!

Nichole says
Did you just spill the beans!?!
Katie says
Nope…we still don’t know for sure. I still refer to the little baby as a boy…just simply because that was the 12 week guess 🙂

Hey Katie! I forget if I’ve commented before..I originally found you through YHL and have been thoroughly enjoying your blog ever since! I just had to say that I laughed at being late to church. My husband grew up in Botswana and I have no excuse, but we are v. good at being late to things. The first year we were married it was particularly hard to get up in the morning (that’s normal, right? 🙂 ) and I remember one time we literally came into church during the closing song!! I was retroactively embarrassed. Hahaha. We knew we were going to be quite late but came anyway for sunday school and potluck…but still. Ha.
