I vote that we pass a law that babies must wear cute pajamas at all times. Maybe because baby clothing companies have very limited cute boy clothing, so I am a little biased…but still, these are some of my favorites. Seriously, can it get cuter than a monkey in a spaceship? Or a little monkey wearing a monkey in a spaceship?
The correct answer is no. it can not.
Still no sideburns.
I plopped Will down on this chair – I needed to get my fix of some photos of those little feet…and this texturaly Dulce chair was just the place for it…and I would like to introduce you to “the look”. This is the look I get every time Will realizes that whatever I am doing is for photos. It’s one of total boredom and a little fear and some definite hesitation mixed it. It says…”Mom, I know what you are thinking and I am not cool with it”. And then I give him a look back that completely communicates “Bummer for you kiddo” with a little “Because I said so” mixed in. It’s a special relationship we have…
TOE PIC! (name that movie for one hundred points!)
Boys must throw things. It’s in their genetic code. Once something enters their hand, it must exit at high velocities…it’s hardwired into their DNA. Like the lens cap that is flying sideways…perfectly normal event with a boy.
And that smile is worth every broken cell phone and chotchke I own.
Oh how I love me some monkeys in spaceships. Because it means that I have a boy…a boy through and through.
(p.s. the pajamas are two pieces – so we often don’t change the shirt and just wear it all day long! They are from Gap. No, Gap doesn’t know about this blog…although I wish they did, so they can send me the Scooter Sleep set…ahhh, cuteness overload!!!)

Cute toes! Also, I love Cutting Edge, it was a GREAT movie, Haha.

SOOOOO CUTE. I love his sideburn-less hair 🙂

I’m one of those girl moms who drools over all the cute boy clothes. The plaid! The polos! The animals in various modes of transport! Monkey in a spaceship?! LOVE.
We ‘re also huge fans of Gap & Old Navy jammies. I like their 2 piece sets, because she has better balance when walking with bare feets. I just bought her the Gap set that has an ice cream print on top, and the bottom printed like a waffle cone. Cutest thing ever.

Cutting Edge, great movie! I had such a crush on DB Sweeney in middle school!
What a cute pajamas ( and an adorable baby boy I might add) if only it wasn’t weird to dress my puppy dog up in monkey pj’s!
Rachel says
Utterly adorable! And I’m with you – when I find cute boys pajamas… we get our use out of them!
And why oh why must they chuck everything they get their hands on? But I wouldn’t complain about that smile either 🙂
Amz says
Baby feet!!! I love baby feet, more than hands, cheeks or butts, there is something so aww worthy about them.
Your offspring is unbelievably cute! Virtual squishes!!
lauren says
Oh thank GOODNESS I am not the only one guilty of leaving the jammie shirt on all day! I feel like I do that more often than not! Will is a cutie! He has the same whispy hair as my little guy who desperately needs his first haircut… (my heart can’t handle that just yet). Baby boy jammies are the best!
lauren says
oh, i should clarify… MY kid needs the haircut- not yours haha!
Lesley says
Cutting Edge! And I agree baby boy PJ’s are so cute!
Amber says
Glad to know I’m not the only “The Cutting Edge” fan! DB Sweeney…..swoon!
Sarah @ Thrifty Decor Chick says
Cutting Edge baby! My BFF may have said that line about 358 times the day after we saw the movie. Still do. 🙂 And jammies on a little boy are about the cutest thing EVER. 😉 I’m looking at mine and his cuteness right now!
lynn says
Aww…memories! Cutting edge.. “Doug Can Read…” Great pics of Will. We need another photography tutorial from you soon! The weather is improving in Cold Snowy NH and I want to get outside in the natural light and do some more practicing. Your ‘assignements’ always help me so much!!!
Linda says
Classic quotes. Classic. “A Button!!!”, “Don’t quit your day job”, “Finger painting?” “Call the front desk and get a room of your own!” — I still say that occasionally to hubby when he irritates me LOL
Boy jammies are the best. Glad you have lots of toe pics. I don’t think I have any of my boys and I miss them. Now they have giant man-feet. ewww.
Carla says
Ooo he is too cute!
Just wait until you have a girl – it gets sooo much worse! Gap is the epitome of all things cute!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who says Toe Pick on a whim!! Hilarious
Holly says
I looove Gaps baby pajamas!! My son wears them a lot too. We have a girl too though so I get the best of both worlds =)

The Cutting Edge! 100 pts!
Andrea says
I spelled my name wrong. Ha, someone just did that on my blog this morning!
Jackie P says
I totally agree…there are way more cute baby girl clothes than there are for boys. I’m always saying that when shopping for clothes for my little man. Guess it makes us appreciate the few extra cute ones we find. And I agree about the baby feet thing. My 6 month old little guy has worn socks since the day he was born thanks to long Iowa winters. Sometimes I just pull his socks off just to sneak a peak! Can’t get enough. Love ’em’!
Heather Lanier says
I was about to say – “The Cutting Edge” and get my 100 points but someone beat me to it! Haha. Love that movie. And those PJ’s, might have to get them for a friend who is having a baby.
chelsea says
Such cute pictures.
Love, Love Cutting Edge. “Hale Shmale!”
Heather S. says
He is SO absolutely adorable! Can i borrow him? hehe. I have to ask though Katie, i keep seeing your posts saying “still no sideburns” am I missing an inside joke? ( i am a slow at getting these types of things.)
Katie says
There is no inside joke…we just simply explained that he has crazy hair one time and he looks like Friar Tuck (since he has no sideburns)…we just keep waiting for them to grow in…it’s just a little quirk about him that we have grown to love 🙂

Cutting Edge! I love that movie! Toooooe Pick!
Emy says
Your cutie still has more hair than his little girlfriend Clara ! Love that child, she’s so cute ! They are my favorite blogging-baby-couple, so don’t worry if he has no sideburns, that is what makes those kids so adorable ! And by the way, girls can throw stuff (like bullets… !) sometimes too, believe me 😉
Cait @ Hernando House says
So cute!
Kelsi @ Modern Mom Redefined says
He is such a cutie!!! And it’s a good thing it was just the lense cap and not the lense! Although I totally agree that it’s built into their DNA. My son is the same way and then some (since he has no sensor). And that smile of Will’s? I could eat that up… too cute!
Jamie says
I have been reading your blog for a while. I don’t often comment. I started reading it because my friend showed me your story of Will’s bith and I went through something similar. My daughter must have a similar birthday too..she was born at the end of April 2011–my goodness 7 days later, however! It made me feel better about things to read what you had to say about his birth story.
Anyhow, I must say that Monkey Jammies..especially with flying spaceships are quite adorable. As my husband always says– (when I talk of clothes making my daughter look cute)….”It’s not the clothes that make her cute.” he says. 🙂 Will is quite a cute lil guy.
Jamie says
Oh…and the movie is “Cutting Edge”, loved that movie.
Hilary@My So-Called Home says
Love The Cutting Edge, we used to say that all the time. And I didn’t know you had a Dolce chair. I just ordered two because they were on sale. Thanks for the closeups, I’m loving the chair even more and can’t wait to get them!
Cindy says
Cutting Edge… so great to see so many people who loved this movie too; I thought I was the only one!

I love this! My little guy is going to turn 2 in May and is totally hard-wired for throwing, destruction, kicking, and jumping. So different from my five year old daughter.
arell says
The older Will gets the more I love your blog because I feel like I am relating more to you every time I click back! Sometimes it is a pajamas all day kind of day!
Emily says
He is SOOOOO cute!
