Anyone that knows anything knows that I am obsessed with matching jammies. OBSESSED. Like the fixation is probably not healthy. Like I literally think that my kids in matching pajamas are cuter than kittens doing kitten-y type things…and that is saying something because dude, have you seen those videos?! It’s one of those things that I think….if matching jammies is weird, why does it feel oh-so-right?!
And so I embrace it. I embrace the weird. Raise your hand if you do too. Okay now put the hand down because today we are gonna get weird together….
So many folks have asked where we get our matching jammies and it is really not hard to do….more and more companies are recognizing our obsession and making the pajamas in a variety of sizes and ESPECIALLY christmas jammies 🙂
Here are some of the places that I have gotten jammies for my boys (sizes 3 months to 6T) and what they carry…
Gymboree carries 6-12m all the way up to 12! Hoo to the ray! Sometimes the sizes make it to clearance or discount prices but sometimes not. Here is a current cutie….
And here is a cute dino-truck gymmies that is discounted and has sizes missing. I find that Gymboree runs a smidge small (but shrinks less!) and so Weston (my 3T) can wear a 5 if it’s footless 🙂
The two-piece pajamas are especially nice because you can put them in a bigger size and carry them over to the following year (only if they are 2T and bigger!).
Zulily is a great place to find a variety of sizes! They carry Leveret at certain times of the year and this brand is great for having infant, toddler and BOYS! The prices are comparable to discount at Gymboree or Old Navy but you will have to wait for them since this is delivery only. Also – you can’t ALWAYS get them and some sizes always sell out quick.
These polar bear fleece ones are so cute and what they lacked in big sizes, they did make up for with a matching robe 🙂
I also love these striped ones that I have seen modified with monograms or names! Perfect for personalized jammies!
Or maybe matching your cutie pie is more your style….they also carry versions for adults! I KNOW!
Speaking of Leveret – they are also sold on Amazon. If you need a particular size or something very specific – this is the place for you. They do sizes 12M to 14!!!!! And even though they are one of the priciest places to buy matching jammies – they do deliver soon and are sometimes available for PRIME 🙂
Another brand on Amazon is Sleepytime PJs – they have a bunch of different options and are definitely expensive but if you are doing a family photoshoot in sleepwear, then it’s actually not so bad considering 🙂 Plus, they can dress any size from infant to adult to dog to doll 🙂 (these are hilarious!)
Carters is my favorite place to get jammies for the boys because they go on super sale sometimes and you can get matching jammies for less than $5 a pop if you buy the two packs 🙂 That’s two nights of all my boys wearing the same! Smiles everywhere 🙂 Right now they have a 25% off coupon for qualifying purchases!
The key to buying them online at Carters is cross-checking the sizes. So some will be listed under BOYS and some under TODDLER BOYS and then some under BABY. They will be different prices and different availability.
If you can’t find a certain size – check Kohl’s! They will carry some Carters brand items and it is a great way to use that Kohl’s cash 🙂
The Children’s Place is one of those polarizing shopping experiences for me. I either LOVE everything and spend a bazillion dollars on buying four of everything in there or I hate their current line and want to mom-rampage the racks. When it’s good, it’s OH so good. They only carry up to size 5T so this is the last year for Will to be in their matching jammies….unless I petition for their BOYS section to carry up a size….which I will be doing and asking the president to validate 🙂
I mean….the prices! But on the other hand – we do find that these jammies are the most stiff…like the fabric is not as nice and then also the printing is a lower-priced version. You get what you pay for, I guess! And obviously it doesn’t stop me from getting the jammies here 🙂
I am obsessed with those alphabet animals above and the boys would love these teddy bear footless stretchies….maybe that is one way I can squeeze Will in a smaller size…they would just be capri-jammies 🙂
Old Navy is also only up to 5T for matching and it is great design-wise. I love these prints and the price is comparable. Expect to pay around ten dollars if they are discounted (although once they discount, it’s harder to find all the sizes).
Another option if you are short on matching is doing the whole coordinating thing! I have done superhero’s before and it is like matching but with a fun twist 🙂
Also – just wanted to give you guys a heads up that if you are looking for a great stocking stuffer – this $18 set of Sharpie’s is now $6.66 – and I threw it in with my last order because honestly….everybody loves a crisp Sharpie 🙂
Oh and Amazon is having their 25% off one book…so while you are picking out your matching family jammies (don’t forget fido!), get a book for the kiddos! Remember the whole “wear, need, want and read” recipe for Christmas success 🙂 (code – 25OFFBOOK) Happy Shopping!

OH FOR CUTE. I absolutely agree that a passel’o’kids in matching jammies is just about the cutest thing there is. My parents used to perpetuate that cuteness by giving my sister and me new matching jammies every Christmas, and I absolutely cannot wait until I have my own so I can do the same!!
PS – a fresh pack of Sharpies is a genius stocking stuffer. Because if you don’t appreciate clean new Sharpies, we can’t be friends. Fact.

So are you saying that matching jammies are the cats meow? 🙂

Girl, you are lucky yours are so close in sizes. My 3 sons (do you have the theme to the old TV show running through your head now too?) are at opposite ends of the toddler-youth continuum, but I am able to get 2 – 2Ts and a sz 12 and have the 3 of them matched up for now.
However, our daughter gets left out of the mix. She is 13 and a women’s medium, and this Christmas pretty much the only thing she asked for was a set of matching footy pajamas with her twin little brothers… and the 11 year old if that would work too.
It has just about killed me. I bought hers from Winners (Canada’s TJMaxx) figuring hers would be the hardest to find, then found coordinating ones from Sears for the twins and a set (not footies, but at least they also had polar bears like the rest) from Hatley. Of course 3 of the 4 pairs were purchased before I found the manufacturers that cover all sizes.

They may not be matching, but children’s place carries coordinating Christmas Jammies up to size 14! I have 3 kids (now 12, 10 & 8) and I love it because I only buy the biggest size we need, and everyone else gets hand-me-downs from years before, and they all still look cute together They’re super soft and warm, last for years, and are only $6 when on sale with coupon!!

I second Hanna Anderson! I thought last year was going to be our last year of matching Christmas jammies as my eldest was topping the boys sizes. Hanna makes it possible to do matching jammies for life 🙂
Monica says
Yes!! So cute!!!!
I only have two boys, and they are teens now (they don’t wear pajamas anymore – they sleep in their underware!) and I loved when they had matching PJ’s. My only comment is WoW – thats a lot of sets of PJs! My kids only had one pair at a time (which is how it was when I was a kid) – does the rest of the world have lots of different PJs at any one time

Love carters for jammies! Their deals are awesome! I also love target!! Went there yesterday for 2 things…left with way too many baby clothes! It’s evil! lol
Christine says
My 5 kids are all about one size apart… so instead of 5 sets of pajamas, I buy 6. That way everyone bumps up a size the next year (so the year I buy them, the biggest size isn’t worn and the following year, the smallest size isn’t worn) and I get two years of matching by buying just one extra set. Not sure if it would work with your kids’ sizing but worth a try!

Awwww, I miss the matching pajama days.

The fact you just quoted my absolute FAVORITE Office line of all-time really gives you major points in my book! You just won yourself a lifelong reader 🙂

I also love Hanna Andersson pj’s, they absolutely have the nicest fabric and have passed down through all 3 boys and most still look brand new (except the ones our puppy chewed holes in a few years ago). I used to hit their after Christmas sale at the store and buy for the next year for super cheap. My 12 year old son doesn’t want the tighter jammies anymore so I stopped.
The last 2 years I’ve ordered from The Company Store for nice flannel pj’s. Not cheap by any means, but I only splurge at Christmas so I don’t mind. Even the dog gets some (payback for chewing the jammies). Your boys are super cute!

Love it! I’m definitely Team Matching Jammies, but I once accidentally got matching for my boys from Old Navy. I was browsing for one kid, had to take a break for toddler-related nonsense, and then browsed for the other several hours (or days) later. Apparently, my taste is consistent because I got them the same shark PJs without even trying. It was a pleasant surprise!

I just picked up some matching jammies from Macy’s. My sister in law has a pair of ugly Christmas jammies that she loves, so this year I got her a pair to match my daughter. This is the gift that I am the most excited to give! I can’t wait for the great picture possibilities!
Amanda says
This is oh so adorable. Also I’ve been watching Home Improvement and I think of your family. You know, tools, mom and dad with all boys. You could have your own tv show! Haha
Patricia says
Your boys are adorable in matching jammies. Love your choices. But the Plaid Family even had the doll and dog matching … looks like a contender for “When Christmas Card Photos Go Wrong”.

Target actually has a page dedicated to family pajamas http://www.target.com/c/family-pajamas-ways-to-shop/-/N-4yyte).. I was very tempted to buy the star wars pajamas for my 19m/o, myself, and my husband

I love love love matching jammies! I got my daughter (size 5-6) and son (2t) at the children’s place. They have matching above 5t – they are just not the footed pj’s (my daughter was a little bummed about) – they are fleece pants and shirt but still it’s amazing and weird the joy it gives me seeing them in matching jammies. I hope they keep indulging me with this tradition for years to come!
Merry Christmas!
Lindsay says
Katie, stop it! You’re giving me baby fever! I want baby #2 so that I can buy all the matching jammies! Your boys are the cutest! 🙂 My son has the red fleece jammies from Carter’s, but we found them at Sams Club for around $8.00. I haven’t looked for the bigger sizes, but it’d be worth checking. I’m pretty sure I saw them at Costco too!

Raising hand! I’m actually on the hunt right this second for matching Christmas PJs 🙂

I know this is a post from last year, but I saw it while searching around for matching pajamas for this Christmas. I love the puppy ones of your boys. I also found some other animal themed pajamas I thought were cute at: http://www.lazyone.com/matching-pjs.html/
