When I think of fancy, my first thought is celebrities.  They have expensive clothing that they only wear once, children that probably never get sick or smear Gogurt all over the walls, and a team of forty maintaining their Beverly Hills home filled with custom furniture.

So when Interior Define came to us and said that they are a furniture company that makes custom sofas and sectionals….I was like um-yeah-I-don’t-know-Kim-Kardashian.  I mean….custom sizes?  your pick of material and cushion fill and legs?  40-60 fabric options?  My eyes bulged like those old cartoons when they saw a bag of money.  CHA-CHING!

I was so close to saying thanksbutnothanks but then I glanced at the prices….whatwhat?!  They were actually affordable!  Since Interior Define doesn’t have traditional retail stores, they can maintain an awesome price point that is 30-40% less than comparables and do everything online.  They also have additional options through their company’s customer concierge over the phone or in person at their flagship Chicago showroom.   And if you are the must-see-and-feel-type, then they offer complimentary swatches of their fabric options.  All you have to do is request the swatches you want or if you want more specs on the sofas, then they will send you product cards too!  It’s super easy and added comfort that you get exactly what you want.

And that’s why I just had to tell you about them.

I even tried to convince Jeremy that it was time to update our sitting area.  We have an old second-hand couch in there that we bought off Jeremy’s brother.  It doesn’t fit scale wise and it is just saggy and not really the type I would have picked.  I would love this space to be a grown-ups only area!

This is a glimpse into where we work every night after kids go down for bed.  I sit in a chair and Jeremy sits on the couch and we have our laptops out and a show playing in the background.  This sitting area is really our ‘living room’.   It has some nice features (I mean, c’mon, it’s an entire room just for Jeremy and I!)….

I would love to keep the rug but update the fireplace wall to something like this and then get a couple sitting chairs and the perfect couch in here.

  7. I can’t even tell you how amazing winning this would be! I would pick the Sloan in deep sea with wooden legs. My husband and I are moving this spring to our first-ever house and a new sofa would be a dream. I am keeping my fingers tightly crossed! Thank you for this chance to win!

  96. I have been lusting over Interior Define’s sofas for a while. Oh goodness…every.single.one of their designs puts my damaged leather roll arm to shame! I think without actually having the fabric in hand I would choose the heavy cloth in graphite. But I have kids and a dog that loves to “test” the quality and durability of couches on a daily basis. So without a sample it would be hard to tell which could stand up to the test of my couch loving family!! Great giveaway!

  109. I would LOVE a cerulean blue Sloan sofa for our living room. Our new house is darker than the old so most walls are going close to white and I’m playing with fun colors for furniture. Cerulean blue would be perfect!

  145. This is amazing! I have been nagging my fiancé to get a new couch and he keeps telling me that we need to wait until after our wedding (in June 2016!). I love the color of the Mod Velvet Pearl or the Linen-blend Stone but I don’t think I could truly make up my mind without seeing and feeling the swatches! (I also love the Aztec pillow.)

  192. Ohhhh, a custom sofa, that is fancy. I feel like I am upping my game when I mix paint colors and call that custom. There were a lot of options, but I think I would pick either the Birch (a nice light gray) or the Carolina blue, to be a little more daring. For some reason our sofa was the least of my issues, even though it is the hub of our living room. It was a situation of cheapest and most kids resilient combo. One day I plan to get actual nice furniture. When my kids don’t use it as a trampoline. BTW those built ins would be perfect for that space!

So far, we hadn’t found anything that both my husband and I liked…but now we’re clicking through the Interior Define website and finding several options that just might be The One. As for fabric, it’s between the Deep Sea standard fabric or the Ocean performance felt (2 cats + 2 dogs in our family, so we definitely need stain-resistant couches!).

  435. I would pick any of the grey toned fabrics. Our living areas are all in neutral shades of creams and browns so a grey couch would give me an excuse to change it up.

  437. I think I would have to go with the basketweave fabric in Putty with wooden legs. This would be more than amazing to win for my husband and I, we need a new couch after having two babies spit up all over it, a very sick dog snuggle into it her last few months of life, and then potty training those two babies.
