Home Picks On Sale

The Nordstrom Half Yearly sale is here and I thought I would give you my favorites as well as make a few announcements!

First…the sale….priorities people.  Focus.  Concentration.  Why is that so hard sometimes?! Ohright #fivekids.  Anyhoo….this sale wasn’t as beefy in the home department as I thought it would be.  Nordstrom usually has some great frames (not as many this year.  booooo!) but the biggest surprise this year was how many Anthropologie items were included in the sale.  That’s right….Anthropologie is also at Nordstrom….so yay points!

I should also clarify that Anthropologie is ALSO having a sale for Memorial Day….it’s lots and lots of home sale items up to 40% off.  They also have a 20% off Full-price furniture and decor (with only limited exclusions).  So if you have been eyeing one of their items…now is a great time.  Here is the link.

Now let’s rewind to the Nordstrom sale.  They have lots of clothing items on sale.  My favorite twist front tee is on sale (here is another link for different colors.  weird.).  And a tunic that I got last year that might just be the most versatile piece in my closet is also marked down.  But the thing that always gets my engines revved is the home stuff.  The one thing that really popped out at me is that the knobs I got in my laundry room are ON SALE.

They are hefty mercury glass with delicate white branch details and guys….in real life….they are stunners.  I can’t even describe how beautiful they are.

Those are included in this sale and I wanted to share all the other home picks too.  I spied a whole lot of bedding that was pretty but I’m not in need of bedding so I kinda steered more toward the cutting boards, rugs, and entertaining items.  I am pretty obsessed with those wood and marble cutting boards so Jeremy should expect to see that in the future 🙂  You can click on any of the photos below to see more details.

ALSO….since we are on the subject of Nordstrom….one of my favorite bloggers is Cassie from Hi Sugarplum and she has some exciting news.  I am freaking out for her because she has been working soooo hard all these years and has impeccable style and it’s finally happening….she is collaborating with Gibson and teamed up to make a collection of cute style items.  This will be available May 29!  Personally I can not wait to see what it includes.

ANNNNNDDDD….Spring is here and you know what that means!  Sunday Garden Updates!  My garden got the royal treatment last year when Jeremy built me a fancy new fence and I loved doing videos walking through the space every week.  This year I have my plants in the ground and am ready to see my little babies GROW!  I will be posting this Sunday right here on Bower Power with my garden plantings for 2018 and doing Instagram Story updates every Sunday night so you can follow along with me as we watch this miracle of life.  Seriously.  I know that sounds super cheesy but every year I am so grateful that we have the ability to put something so tiny in the ground and then see how it provides us with delicious and healthy food.  THAT’s A MIRACLE.  And if you are a farmer – I just want to be you 🙂

Last but not least – I have a big announcement.  We have been working feverishly on finishing up our new website redesign!  This has been a long time coming y’all and I am SOOOOO excited to be so close to the end!  Our ten year blogiversary is JUNE 5th!  We will be launching the redesigned site then.  If you are one of those friends who have been following since the beginning (or close to it) I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your support over the years.  You ALL have dramatically changed my life for the better and I can not tell you how wonderful it is to have this connection with you!  I love you guys.  Truly.  And I need some good ideas on how to celebrate!  I want a cake because the kids think all things should be celebrated with cake.  But any other good ideas you got for me?  I’d love to hear them!
