Who is ready for Mother’s Day? (no one raises their hand – including me!) It’s because this holiday is like a ninja….it sneaks up on you and BOOM hits so hard. As a mom, every little thing….every little note….every little dandelion in a glass full of water….they literally make your day. This year, Jeremy and Weston could not keep their little Mother’s Day surprises a secret and I got to stretch the celebration out a little longer.
Weston made the cutest card with my mom and the moment I walked in the door, he rushed over to his hiding spot and pulled it out. I love his sweet little flowers (I MEAN!)….and Jeremy’s gift came delivered in the mail and I accidentally ruined the surprise. When I pulled this velvety photo book out of the envelope, I was immediately on the verge of tears. WHERE DID THIS COME FROM!?
I couldn’t wait to see the inside of the sweet photo book that he made. First of all….you should know that these photos were ones that lived on his phone. That’s right…the ones lost in the black hole of iPhone pictures…taken but then never seen again.
Some he saved from Instagram directly to his camera roll….but all of them were from our trip to Disney.
My big boys sat down with me to look at all the pictures and honestly – that is probably 50% of what makes this book so sweet.
Jeremy said that he just put all the Disney photos in a folder and he was able to use a new app to automatically create this beautiful book of memories.
And Jeremy made sure to put lots of pictures of me in the book (which as a mom, I can never really justify putting myself in a photo book when my kids are so cute) but it meant so much to me to see pictures of me interacting with the kids. **Tears!
Weston and William loved reliving the memories…
Weston reenacted licking the ice-cream….
And William thought it was so funny that Pluto gave him a high five.
I received the royal treatment of cuddles while we looked over each page….which is seriously something that never happens. I mean…these two rarely stop moving, much less putting their arm over my shoulders and leaning in real close…
Weston even hugged my arm and held my hand. Priceless I tell you. Priceless.
It was kinda this euphoric experience – just looking over never-seen photos and laughing and remembering the sweetest moments from last summer.
It really was the gift that kept on giving!
And now for some real details on this product because apparently it is BRAND NEW. Jeremy sent me these details and I was drooling. The folks behind Canon printers decided that far too many photos lived on phones and nobody had time to do anything with them. They knew that they could help remedy that problem. So they developed an amazing printing solution – a super easy to use App that automatically creates an affordable photo book with your phone photos and then you receive a book with a velvety laminated photo cover in a week!
The software is super fancy – you choose a folder of pics or a date range of photos and the software fills in the layout with your best photos. You can personalize it with captions or tweak which photos are used if you like. But this is a fast system…so literally, you can create an entire book on your coffee break….or several during nap time!
The covers are spill resistant, scratch resistant, and fingerprint resistant (great for our house full of little fingers). And the colors are still amazingly bright and sharp!
After Jeremy told me all the back story and the details and I saw the product….I couldn’t have been more impressed. He was like….I knew you would love it. And I do. I really do. Not just because the boys cuddled me and we had a super sweet moment but also because he chose such a great product. Kudos Jeremy. You might even get a back scratch later honey 🙂
So the app is called hdAlbum EZ….and you can check out the details here as far as size and number of pages and the binding (they have a lay-flat option!).
And the BEST part is that we asked the Canon folks if there was a code for you guys and they said YES!
Use MOM17EZ for 30% off (good until May 14th) on your orders….and make sure you place your orders by this Friday, May 5th to get your own special gifts in time for Mother’s Day.
And yes, I am already creating my own for my own dear old mom….I’m even going back on Instagram to save old pictures of mine as well as my sister’s and brother’s kiddos! I am seriously gonna make my mom cry. It’s gonna be awesome 🙂

How sweet!
Thanks for the code. I will be using it. I have too many thousands of pictures sitting in my phone. My mom and mother-in-law will love their books. I think I’ll get one for us too. 🙂

Yup. But of course, at the time, he didn’t know if I would love it…and I only post about things I love! It was a risky move…but so was marrying me 🙂

I don’t know if it’s my hormones or what, but these pictures of you with the boys are sending me straight to tears. So sweet. <3

I’m sorry, I usually love reading your blog and look forward to it but this entire post seems overly staged and disingenuous. I know you make money off of these sponsors but I miss when you kept it more real.
Katie says
Oh that’s funny because it’s real and it really happened. I don’t know about most kids but my boys don’t really ‘stage’ things well…admittedly it is a little weird to take pictures when you ‘read’ a book but we got the little ones down and the big boys were super excited to do this with me.
