Great Giveaway – Rev My Shelf

Last October, I told ya’ll how we decided we were no longer gonna hang out with white trash.  cans.  White trash cans.  We had one out in the open in our kitchen and it was totally gag-worthy.  You know that lurch in your stomach…that one that induces the tightening of your abdomen and makes your head tilt backwards and your throat fill with vomit?  Yeah.  That lurch.  It was born in my old white trash can.  And that devil of a lurch conceived many tightenings, tiltings, and fillings in our home.  We needed a hero.  Enter Rev-A-Shelf. 

Rev-A-Shelf was the creator of our shmancy new trashcan.  It sliiiides.  

I love it.  It has been my BFF since then and I can say that it is the single best investment we have made in our kitchen to date.

So naturally I was thrilled when the fine folks over at Rev-A-Shelf contacted me to do a giveaway.  I may have peed my pants a little.  I may not have.  But I probably did.  Maybe.

    I’m really fired about my new work position – starting tomorrow. It’s the same parks and recreation organization I’ve been with for years, but I was recently placed to work directly with the city naturalist and to essentially apprentice under her. Very exciting!

    Newest decorating LOVE: Wine racks above the fridge. I hate those cabinets above the fridge that even I can’t reach (although I’m 5’9″). So, I’m going to put a wine rack in the cabinet and every item in it will have a handle (read: neck) I can grab without dislocating my shoulder :).

    I just spent the weekend outside enjoying the beautiful weather – why was I revved up? Because I was outside sanding and refinishing a 28 year old dresser – now it’s like a brand new contemporary piece for our new home – we move in November!!!!

    I actually bought bacon today to make bacon cupcakes. Oh yes. They are good.
    And when we remodeled this summer, we added the 2-bin trash/recycling slide-out shelf. It is definitely amazing. I’m a tad organizationally controlling and demanding (oh, that spells OCD), so either of the slide-outs would definitely rev me up!

    Our oldest daughter just blessed us with our second grandchild. I got to go stay for a week to help her out with the new baby and her two year old.     I have the sliding trash can and it is absolutely one of my all-time most favorite things in my entire house. Since it’s stowed away, it gives me the same kind of kick as wearing really good undergarments. No one else knows about them, but they make you feel really good … hehe!

    Vacuuming actually revs my motor. My family is both extremely grateful and incredibly concerned!

    Right now, the closetmaid shoe cubby I put in our downstairs closet makes me especially happy. The sad aluminum one I had collapsed and I lived with a mound of sad shoes and other random things in there for more than a month.

    This is a fun giveaway! The feeling I get after cleaning our house is one I wish I could bottle and keep forever. I’m able to relax faster and easier when I’m in a clean house.     We have the same trash can and it seriously is the most amazing thing. My husband’s very particular grandmother who was SO against us buying it has even changed her tune after seeing it in action! I have mine in the cabinet next to my stove, so all of my waste goes right in there! It’s the best!!!
