Mother’s Day is this Sunday. You ready?! I gotta buy one more box of Kleenex 🙂
It’s hard for me to really express all I am feeling right now. I don’t know if other mama’s understand or if I just feel too much…but for me, becoming a mother to a tiny perfect human was terrifying and exhilarating and beautiful all at the same time. I was taught by my first babe how to truly love, how to sacrifice, how to be afraid, how to devote myself to a cause, how to forgive myself….all those things and so much more. And I have the scars to show for it….real flesh wounds that have healed over and now remind me of my little guys….the c-section scar from my first day of motherhood, a scratch near my eye from little fingers exploring my face while nursing, one on my ankle from being accidentally hit by a two year old on a Power Wheels, a burn mark on my wrist from saving a little hand from a hot exhaust…the list goes on and on. And I love those scars. We moms proudly wear those physical and emotional warrior marks. We shout our love from the sidelines of baseball fields and laugh at silly preschool jokes and celebrate successful toddler bathroom visits. Our journey is not one that is just about us and what we want but about self-sacrificing love. And that is why I wanted to celebrate this coming Mother’s day in a really special way.
Gemma Gray is a company that makes jewels….gorgeous and simple jewelry from high quality materials….and I knew immediately I would love their items. They sent me a email and asked me if I wanted to make something….I did….a pair of beautiful smoky quartz earrings that I could wear everyday. And then I went back for more. I took out my debit card and customized something else…something I wanted to give myself with hard earned money….a ring.
It’s simple and modest and will never go out of style. It’s a stackable gold ring with a diamond in the center. April is the month I became a mom and diamonds are April’s birth stones so it is a constant reminder of that time in my life….a time of transition…the time when my whole life changed.
I usually wear my wedding and engagement rings but unfortunately my hands get too swollen so I don’t wear it for the third trimester….for now, I wear only this new Mother’s Day ring and another simple gold band. The one on my right hand was my grandmother’s wedding ring….a simple unadorned circle of gold….it reminds me of her and the day I realized I wanted a family. I was able to customize the Gemma Gray ring based on her simple beauty. It’s like chapters in my book….the preface and the beginning of my story into motherhood….connecting the old and the new…the loves of my life….the generation gone by and the generation after me…it’s truly a reflection of our family in a simple and beautiful way….something I can carry with me and always hold near.
Jeremy saw the purchase and asked why I didn’t just ask him to buy it for me. The answer was simple….I didn’t want to wait! This journey has already begun!
The earrings arrived and I am thrilled to show you how they turned out. They remind me of Will and his sparkly brown eyes. He always asks if he can go to the doctor’s and have them paint his eyes blue (Jeremy and Weston and LJ all have blue eyes)….and I always tell him that it would make me so sad to not see his big beautiful brown eyes. Slowly but surely, he is realizing that his eyes are beautiful….something a mama will always know 🙂
(Just so you know….I’m totally sobbing right now just thinking about these little reminders of my babies and how much I love them. It’s amazing how a little gem can stir up so much emotion!)
I think that is the reason I love this company so much…they allow you to customize it. You get to tell a story with each jewel. I can get exactly what I want that MEANS something to me…not just a cheap item that has no personal value. I can get something handcrafted…made of precious metals and gemstones….nothing fake or made in some factory overseas…something with a story….something I can pass down one day and be proud of. And the prices are fair….it’s not crazy expensive like you would think….totally affordable especially considering you could wear these every day.
I am really excited that two readers today will be able to win a credit to start telling their own story or giving that perfect gift to someone who is a big part of their journey. Besides…I need to go get that Kleenex now 🙂

Weeks right now 🙂 I love your story and how these little gems are the best reminders of your journey of becoming a mom.
I think this would be perfect as a little push present to myself 😉
Hard to decide, but since I usually wear costume necklaces I think the cluster marquis necklace would be beautiful. Thanks for the chance, Katie.
Ashley says
I think I would get a stackable ring with my children’s birthstones.
Katie says
I’ve always wanted a simple diamond bracelet, and the round bracelet with a simple diamond is so, so perfect. It would be the perfect way to celebrate my new job after a very difficult layoff. I start Monday!
Kate says
Simple gold stackable ring!
Hedi Cho says
I would get one of the initial necklaces with the letter C since both of my kids’ first initials is C.
Tasha says
I would get a pretty Rose de France ring..just because!
Crystal Mencke says
I love the Bypass Ring! I would choose the Aquamarine gemstone for my daughter and the Blue Topaz for my son! It would be the perfect piece to celebrate my two babies!
Angela says
I absolutely love those earrings!
LindseyK says
I would definitely get the stacking rings, representing my babies, the two that we’ve lost to miscarriage and the two precious blessings that we have now. My brown eyed boy struggles with liking his eye color as well. He says he has dirt in them. I remind him that he has the same color eyes as me and as my mother and that I love his eyes just the way they are.
sarah baker says
oh wow, how do you choose! my son is also named weston so i like anything with W’s on it! so i’m loving the bar ring with the stamped initial! and i think the bar stud earrings to go with it! 🙂
Eliza says
Love this jewelry! I would choose the bypass ring and personalize it with my and my husband’s birthstones. We’ll be celebrating 15 years of marriage this year, and since our beautiful family all started with us I would love to get something that celebrates us and our milestone. 🙂 Thanks so much for this giveaway, Katie!
Shannon says
I love the three stone bar necklace!!
Kate M says
I LOVE the gemstone cluster stud earrings. I don’t have a great story to go with them, but they would be great for wearing to work 🙂
Erin T says
I would get the gemstone cluster stud earrings in white gold with citrine, green tourmaline, and diamond. Those are the birthstones of my hubby, daughter, and son.
On another note, I love Gemvara!! After your post about the ring you had made for your mom, I went on the site and starting making a bunch of items. Finally for my 10 year wedding anniversary, my hubby gave me the ok to get something so I designed a stackable ring to go between my engagement and wedding rings. It has alternating green tourmaline and diamonds which as I said above are my kids birthstones. I absolutely love it!!
Kyle says
I would choose the stamped initial bar pendant. I’m having my first baby in July and I would love to get his initials on it…especially since they’re his dad’s initials too!
Tara says
I’d also get the stacking ring in silver with a diamond as I too became a mom in April.
marianne says
I would get 3 rings like yours, one with ruby(my birthstone) one with alexandrite (my daughter’s birthstone) and one with emerald(my husband’s and 2 stepdaughters birthstones)

Hannah H says
I would do a stackable ring as well. I love it!
Elena says
A Ring! I am in my fourth pregnancy, and my wedding ring doesn’t fit me either. I would also like something to symbolize my children, my two living children, my stillborn daughter, and my rainbow baby who is still growing inside of me.
Lindsey says
I just fell in love with their Bypass ring in white gold. I’d put a diamond accent stone (for my first boy, April 19) and an Aquamarine stone (for my baby boy March 17). I’m a sucker for sentimental jewelry, and a sucker for anything to do with my boys, so that is pretty much my dream ring.
Abby says
I would choose the stackable rings and get one for my husband and sons with their birthstones. My husband and I talked about upgrading my wedding ring at my 5 year anniversary and that didn’t happen for multiple reasons. I love the idea of looking down and wearing a symbol of my entire family on my ring finger because to me my rings aren’t just for my husband and I, but for the entire family we’ve created together.
Debby says
I would love the Bold spear Drop Earrings. Absolutely beautiful, but honestly everything on the site is beautiful. I liked it all
Crystal says
I would choose the stamped initial bar bracelet. It simple and perfect and timeless! Plus my toddler is always trying to rip earrings out so those never work!
Kelly says
I would love a stacking ring like yours, only in white gold and an Alexandrite stone (for my own birthstone.)
But the earrings you picked out are beautiful too!
Debby says
Change the “spear” to Pear —– oops !
nicole says
I LOVE THESE! I would definitely get stackable gem rings- one with blue topaz for my dad’s birthday (he passed away fifteen years ago) and one with a diamond for my son’s birthday (who bear’s my dad’s name)
Jenna says
I just can’t turn my eyes away from the stackable ring. I love this.
Diana says
I would totally get the bypass ring for my mom. Her two babies (well, almost 30 and almost 27 year old babies) are both May, and the emerald stones would looke great!
Sheila says
Beautiful! I would get the three stone bar bracelet. I have a daughter and am about to become a stepmom to two more young children (who sadly lost their mom – my friend – to cancer) and I love items in threes because they remind me of my precious gifts. Happy Mother’s Day, Katie!
Abby Bruno says
I love the idea of a stackable ring. I’m about to be a first time mom in September (officially halfway through) and to have that next to my wedding band seems like such a great memento.
Jordan Causey says
i would order the bold double drop earring in citrine and onyx.
carolyn says
stacking rings with each baby’s birthstone
whitkae says

Corrie says
i love the five stone ring in white. A gem for each of my four kids and my husband.
Ashley says
The stamped initial bar ring. I love the combination of letter and gemstone—so personal and yet understated. What a beautiful way to honor my children, and someday they can be passed on to another who loves each of them (a spouse? child?)
GG says
I would get the stamped initial bar bracelet – love the name of this company!!
Cara says
I am currently pregnant with my second son so I would choose two round gem bracelets with a single stone in something neutral so I could wear it often to represent each son.
Carmen says
I would love to win the gold bar earrings! I love studs and gold jewelery, so those would be perfect. I never treat myself to nicer jewelery like that!
Rachel says
I’d buy a pretty set of earrings, I think. And is it terrible that the celebration would be “winning a drawing for jewelry?” 😉
Cassi says
I would love the three-stone bar ring to celebrate three years with my man 🙂
Jasmine says
http://gemmagray.gemvara.com/jewelry/eclipse-cushion-cluster-charm-pendant/round-peridot-14k-white-gold-pendant-with-citrine-and-diamond/11dc4f
This necklace with the center stone a peridot, left stone topaz and right stone a diamond.
Topaz is November = my oldest
Diamond is April = my youngest
Peridot in the center for when I lost the one in between. with the rose gold metal because my wedding ring is rose and white gold so it pay homage to Hubster as well 🙂
Carrie says
stacked ring, definitely!
Lara says
I have been wanting an initial bar necklace, actually, two, one for each kid, so I’d probably go for that. I love this! That ring is a beauty and the prices aren’t too shabby!
Clare M says
Your ring is beautiful!
As for what I would choose, I’m always jealous of people who have three stone bar necklace. They’re simple, elegant, and beautiful.
HeatherB says
Bypass ring with peridots for my two little August babies 🙂
Robyn says
I would get 2 stacking rings- 1 with my son’s birthstone- Green Tourmaline and the other with my daughter’s- Blue Sapphire. We got pregnant really easily with my son, but 3 years later things didn’t go so smooth and it took some time for g-d to send us our daughter. When I look at my kids- who love each other more than I could even ask for, I feel so blessed to be their mom. And they remind us of my dad and my husband’s grandma whom they were named for, both having passed away.
Elisa says
Beautiful! Being a mother is the best. I love your stacking ring and would probably get some for myself with the birthstones of my kids.
Kati says
I am a stay-at-home mom of two children. Because our family of four lives on one income, I am very practical when it comes to spending money. However, I do love a good splurge from time to time. If I were to purchase something from Gemma Gray, I would have to go with the Bold Pear Drop Earrings in yellow gold with Black Onyx stones. So beautiful, and so versatile!
Cortney says
I would love either the stackable ring with my daughter’s birth stone, or the bold east west pear necklace. I love how pretty and dainty their pieces are!
AshleyB says
I really love the three-stone bar necklace. I would get my son’s birthstone in the middle, with mine and my husband’s on either side. What a sweet Mother’s Day present to myself that would be (well, from you — thanks for a great giveaway!).
Melissa says
I like the stamped necklace.
Bethany says
I love the stackable rings – I’ve been hinting for my hubby to get me one to celebrate the birth of our second son (coming in August!)
Bethany says
A stackable ring would be perfect for my mom, for Mother’s Day or her birthday which is also coming up! She’s been the best mom to me and nana to my son, I want to give her something really special this year!
Alyssa says
i love the three sting bar ring! I would get it just because I deserve it;) ha!
Tessa says
I love the bypass ring. I’d get it customized in White Gold (same coloring as my wedding rings) with White Sapphire (4th and 5th anniversary – 4 years in June) and possibly Garnet which is the EDD birth month of our first child.
Malisa says
I love the Bold Pear Drop Earrings and would get them in the color Rose de France. My first born’s name is Violet , so the color would always remind me of her! Now I have another baby on the way, but Violet will always be the one that made me a mama first!
Martha says
Ooooo how perfect! I would pick the bypass ring and do my husband and my birthstones in one ring and then the stacking ring with my baby girl’s stone – then I can add single ones too it as we have more babies! Because I WANT ALL THE BABIES!
Haley says
I love the stories behind each piece. I don’t wear much jewelry, but I love sentimental pieces. I love the stamped initial bar pendant and the stacking ring. I would get an emerald for my daughter’s birth month.
Michaelann Rountree says
I think I’d choose the five stone ring or the three stone disc necklace. They’re just lovely!
Kara says
I would get a Stamped Initial Bar Ring with aquamarine all 14k gold with a B for the month my sweet boy was born.
Jen Higgins says
I just love the triple gem disc necklace. Also, I have to share, my daughter’s name is Gemma. It’s not a very common name, so I love to hear of other Gemmas.
Heidi says
I’d love to get the ECLIPSE MARQUISE CLUSTER CHARM PENDANT with my husband, mine, and our currently baking, baby boy’s birthstones. Hopefully with him being due in the middle of a month we’d have a pretty good idea of his birthstone and I could order this in advance.
emily says
Five Stone Front Ring with my three girls birthstones on it!
kate h. says
I’d pick a sterling silver ring! My favorite ring just broke and I’d love a replacement for my first Mother’s Day!
Amy says
Oooo.. I love everything. I am a huge fan of “barely-there” and simple jewelry like this. I would have to get the Three stone stamped bar necklace with the birthstones of my three boys. I have three little ones… Cooper (3), Henry (2), and Walker (6mo).. and they are my heart. I have been looking at doing some stamped jewelry with their initials or birthdates or something that I can wear all the time. That necklace would be perfect! I work outside the home and I feel like I am missing so much everyday when I am away from them, so I would love a little reminder to wear close to my heart while I am apart from them.
Martynka says
I love the earrings you are wearing and Stamped bar necklace
Lisa S. says
Oh…a stackable ring like yours. How beautiful, simple, classic and wonderful! Thank you.
Amanda says
I would choose either the stacking ring or the bar stud earring. Both are so simple and beautiful. It’s been a long journey and I’m finally on my way to become a mother in October. I think either of pieces would help commemorate and celebrate my journey.
Jenna says
I love all of the earrings! Your post almost made me cry! I would love to have a reminder of my little love to wear every single day. It’s truly astonishing how much mamas can love their babies.
Lindy says
I think the bold pear drop earrings are gorgeous!! I’d get them as a reminder of my girls… I have two girls and two ears, so that’s perfect! 🙂
Hailey says
i would buy the stamped bar initial ring and have the March birthstone and letter B for my baby boy who was born in March. 🙂 it is my first Mother’s Day this year!
Christina says
LOVE the bar stud earrings!!!
Lu Robinson says
I love so many things – and the prices are very reasonable — wish I had known about this place at Christmas! I think I really like the stamped bar necklace to be able to layer with other necklaces I already have. I also like some of the rings where I could put the birthstones of my kids. Will definitely be bookmarking this site! Thanks.
Christy Z says
I love the eclipse pear cluster charm pendant necklace – with london blue topaz, pink sapphire, and aquamarine. 🙂 The necklace would remind me of my three beautiful children – a boy and two girls. 🙂
Jenny says
I totally teared up while reading this…After looking at all the beautiful jewelry, I honestly think I would choose the same ring as you did. I also became a mom for the first time in April, and my big 4 yr old boy shares the same birthday as not only my sister (and best friend in the world) but also my best friend from high school who passed away when she was only 18. April is a very special and sentimental month for me. I love the simplicity of that ring and that it can be worn everyday to remind me of some of the best people in my life. I will definitely be showing this to my husband as a gift idea!
Jessica says
I love the initial gem disc bangle. I’d have to get two – one of each of my babies. (I actually already have stacking rings with their names engraved on them. I wear them every day.)
DavesAnngel says
I’d go with three of the stackable rings actually! One for my husband, one for me, and one for our sweet miracle baby (who is now 3!). We thought we’d never get pregnant – gave up on it actually. Tried for 7 years with no luck, then registered to adopt. Waited 3 years for a birthmom to pick us, and never got chosen when SURPRISE! God blessed us with a pregnancy! I’d love to commemorate our wonderful family with three sweet little rings!
Heather says
So hard to choose! I do love the Bypass ring as it has two stones – one for each of my beloved kiddos. I love the simplicity and that I’d get to wear their birthstones next to my wedding ring. The day I got married and each of my children’s birthdays are the most important days of my life.
I also love the initial gem disc charm bracelet – the one stone in the disc makes me think of my son’s dimple (he only has one).
Katie says
I would get the BOLD EAST WEST PEAR NECKLACE. In silver. I’m swooning.
Anitra says
I would love the pear briolettes cut green amethyst!
elaina says

emily says
Love the stamped initial bar bracelet!
Laura Berry says
I would get the Round Bracelet (3mm gem) in 14k white gold with a diamond because I simply don’t have a single silver/white gold bracelet and I’ve always loved diamonds. I believe in buying yourself jewelry that makes you feel special 🙂 the Stamped Initial Bracelet comes in a close second… I’d get white gold or silver with B for my new married name and a smoky quartz stone for Nov – the month we got married!
Claire says
I don’t wear jewelry very often, but when I do I like it to be classic and subtle and these are just that!
Love the Three Stone Bar Ring. We are expecting our third baby this December and that seems like the perfect reminder of whose mom I am! I think I’d go with all diamonds because, well, they’re just prettier than my kids’ birthstones! : / Happy Mother’s Day!

I think I’d pick the amethyst, because although my favourite color is usually a blue or green, my daughter just completed her first All About Mommy Questionnaire at preschool and according to her my favourite color is purple. I figure it’s time I branched out a bit =)
Kristina says
I would get the 5 stone front ring to celebrate my upcoming 5-year wedding anniversary!

Evelina says
I love the Stamped Initial Bar Necklace! SOOOO pretty!
Sarah says
I would have to get the double strand necklace. It may have been because they had rhodolite garnets in it – garnet is my birthstone and my daughter’s but the purple ones are so much cuter than the red ones! I really appreciate how you celebrate motherhood and all the little moments!
Evelina says
Oh! And I forgot to tell you why! I would get the coordinates of my grandparents’ house stamped on it. They live in Poland and I moved here with my parents when I was 5. I have been moving around a lot since then and their home is the only one that truly feels like home <3
Kimberly says
I would get a silver stacking ring with a diamond for my son’s birthstone and a pair of the silver and amethyst round drop earrings for my daughter’s birthstone. Their jewelry is beautiful and I like how you can customize it.

I’d go for the Initial Gem Disc Charm Bracelet for my kids.

I’m digging the bold east-west pear bracelet. Classic enough for everyday but with a little oomph.

Lindsey says
I would get the stamped initial bar necklace. Love that I could incooperated all my loves into one piece of jewelery! Thanks for the great offer!
Angela says
I would get something special to remind me of my first little baby. My new little guy was born in December! I think I would love the stacking ring!
Darcy says
Oh Katie — you are so beautifully eloquent when you speak about your children! I am now mad at myself, for never recognizing that a smoky quartz pair of earrings would remind me of my own 2 beautiful brown eyed boys! I have brown eyes, and have always hated them. My hubby has beautiful blue/green eyes, and I always hoped that when we had kids, that they would get his eyes! Of course, my brown eyes (and italian heritage) won over, and both boys have brown. I love their deep brown eyes (1 – deep and expressive, the other lighter and more serious), and often think, I have never seen anything more beautiful then when they sparkle when they are being mischievous or being silly!! Thank you for the 20% — I am calling my hubby now to tell him I am ordering! 🙂
Amanda says
I’m loving the stacking ring and the bypass ring. I was more impressed by the prices! I’ve been wanting some simple jewelry but I’ve always felt like the prices are a little ridiculous, but these, awesome! Cute stacking rings with my kids’ birthstones would probably be my first purchase.
Alexis says
I’d like one of everything please!! I’ve been wearing my college ring on my right hand for (ahem) many years now. It would be nice to replace it with some stacking rings.
Kelly says
A stacked ring for sure. Maybe all of our birthstones.
Megan says
I love the 3 stone bar!

I love the eclipse pear cluster charm necklace in blue topaz – my first son was born in December, topaz is the four year anniversary gem and this is our fourth year of marriage, and in October we are welcoming our second baby so I’ll have three people to love in my family, like the three charms. Plus blue gems are just really pretty. 🙂
jenna says
So many beautiful things! I love the bar necklace, east west gem necklace, and those gem drop earrings!
Sally says
It would be a difficult decision, everything is so pretty. Probably the gold initial 3 stone necklace, or stackable rings. Thanks for the chance!
Meg says
I do like the simplicity of the stacking ring you chose. But, if I’m going to try to stretch myself and get myself to wear more jewelry/look more presentable (haha) I would do the drop earrings and would choose a gem that is sort of neutral, like brown or diamond, so I could get a lot of use out of them.
Rachel says
Our first baby is due at the end of July so I think I will copy your stackable ring in the his or her birthstone!
Stephanie says
Everything is so pretty – thanks for sharing and the chance to win. If I won, I’d get the stackable rings with Emerald and Sapphire birthstones, because those are the birthstones of my niece and nephew. I don’t have kids so they are close to my heart.
Becky says
Bold East West Pear bracelet for me…might need to just get it for myself now. Too perfect!
Stephanie L says
I absolutely love the stamped bar necklace that allows me to put my sweet baby’s initial and birth stone! Thanks for introducing me to a new jewelry place! 🙂

I think I’d get the Bypass Ring with my two childrens’ birthstones; my daughter turned 2 a couple months ago and I’m due with our son on Mother’s Day (two days from now)! A ring with their birthstones would be a lovely way to mark the completion of our little family!
Jennifer says
I would want the Stamped Initial Bar necklace; with an aquamarine stone in a rose gold bar with the letter C on it to celebrate my little girl who made me a mama in March 2013. I’ve been looking for an initial necklace like this for a long time and this one is just lovely!

What fun! I would choose 3 simple stacking rings in gold with white sapphires. One for each kiddo:)
Although I am diggin those earrings you made, both my boys have blue eyes and my girlie has green hazel. The little trio gold earrings with two blue sapphires and a sparkly green stone would be a pretty reminder of all their beautiful eyes!
Heather says
I would pick the 3 stone bar necklace and put my husbands birth stone and my 2 kids as well! So cute!!
Stacey W. says
What a great giveaway! I still get teary-eyed talking about my little one too 🙂 and I only have one!
I love the Bypass ring (two stones) because it would stack well with more in the future when we add to our family. But for now, the bypass ring with my birthstone (oct) and my daughter’s (feb) to celebrate my 2nd mother’s day and the commitment & bond we have to each other. She’s the spitting image of my husband but she acts just like me. She brings more joy to my heart than I could ever put into words and she makes me proud every minute of the day. She’s almost 15 months old so this is my first Mother’s day with a “toddler” which is special because she’s old enough to sort of understand it? Maybe? haha…After a year of exclusively pumping to breastfeed her there has been quite the journey and the bypass ring could celebrate my accomplishments as a mother as well as be a constant reminder of my love for my daughter.
Anne Stefl says
I’d love the stackable rings. They are so timeless and classy and simple. Love them! And I’d buy it for myself just because. 🙂 Three boys 4 and under give me that right. ha!

A little something special to celebrate that would be a special treasure.

Double gem disc necklace! We just found out we are expecting baby number two and it’d mean a lot!
Molly says
This was sooooo well written and beautiful.
You can tell how much you love being a mom.
The double strand necklace is my fav. Simple and beautiful. It took my 3 years and a sad loss to finally become a mama to a beautiful little 1 year old boy. I would choose a white sapphire for him and amethyst for the baby we lost but gave me the first true feeling of joy I’ve ever felt when I found out I was pregnant.
Happy Mother’s Day
Lindsay says
I love the Eclipse Cushion Cluster Charm Pendant. Its so beautiful! The only real adult jewelry I have are my wedding rings!
Joy says
I would get a triple stone ring in sterling silver. Since they don’t have all the birthstones for me and my sons, I would pick colors such as the pink tourmaline for the center stone because I love pink. My older son loves the color green, so I would pick green tourmaline for him and my younger son loves blue, so I would pick blue topaz for him. The ring would be a reminder of being a mom to two wonderfully different boys who are unique in their own ways.
Amy c says
I love the earrings that you picked. I like them in rose gold with the silver. I would give them to myself for Mother’s Day 🙂
heidi says

I would pick a gem disc charm bracelet, as I am older and have one of the old heavy charm bracelets (I love for the sentiment, -Grandmother started it for me- but not so much to lug around on my arm lol) I would have to add several initial/gem charms. 1 for my husband, 2 for my children, and 4 for my grandchildren. This would become that piece of jewelry my only Granddaughter will give to her daughter. I may have to slip a stacking ring in the order too.

I love the gemstone cluster stud earrings, or maybe the gem disc stud earrings. You are a beautiful mama and your boys are lucky to have you! I have three daughters and they are growing up so fast (18, 14 and 14). My oldest is off to college in the fall and my emotions are all over the place–happy, excited, proud, but also sad because our family will not all be living under the same roof anymore. I know this is how it should be and I will adjust and really, mostly, I am just so proud of her and the young woman she has grown up to be! Happy Mother’s Day, Katie! Mason Leskowitz says
The gemstone cluster stud earrings. So pretty and feminine and I could wear them all the time and they would go with everything. They wouldn’t get caught in my hair, or my hair brush. I could nap in these! And the aquamarine and other blue stones are just the blue of my husband and my sons eyes.
Jessica says
I would get a bypass ring. It has two stones in which I would get citrine and amethyst to represent the birth months of my husband and myself. I was in a car accident yesterday morning. I am okay and everyone else was okay (four cars were involved)! It wasn’t myself and I was the last car that was hit (from behind). It simply serves as a stark reminder that life is truly fleeting so hold on to every moment. My love for my husband and his love for me is what I would honor in a ring.

What an awesome “new baby gift” that would make for this mama!!! 🙂

I would choose the STAMPED INITIAL BAR PENDANT. My beautiful first daughter died when I was 9 months pregnant with her. Three living children later, she is always on my mind, but I don’t get to show off pictures of her or have any outwardly visible sign of her. I would love to get her initial on the necklace so in a way she could be close to my heart, and with some visible acknowledgment of her existence. I can’t wait to meet her in heaven one day!
Thank you!
Amy says
I would choose the three-stone bar ring to remember the 3 angels that were born in heaven and taken from us too soon (miscarriages). I am a mama in my heart, but unfortunately never on earth. I like that it is subtle and to remind me the journey should be precious and while painful, there is something wonderful coming.
Shannon says

I usually don’t love the look of birthstone jewelry, but the stamped bar is so simple and stunning. I would choose one of those for sure to represent my two little ones. My birthday is coming up this summer, how fun that would be to get to pick out something meaningful and beautiful!

I would get this: http://gemmagray.gemvara.com/jewelry/eclipse-cushion-cluster-charm-pendant/round-black-diamond-14k-white-gold-pendant-with-aquamarine-and-ruby/11hfhf. The black diamond is for our ten year anniversary which was last year because I couldn’t find a stone for eleven years, which is what we’ll be celebrating next. 😀 The aquamarine is for our first born, and the ruby for our second who will be here in just over two months. Exciting!!
kate says
If they could do it, I would love to get a disc necklace and have them stamp the initial or birthdate of all my mom’s grandkids on each disc. She would love something like that.
Krissy says
I love the bypass ring I could put my daughters birthstones in!
Anais says
I would totally see that stacking ring, or the bypass ring, as an engagement ring! I’ve never been into the big-expensive-diamond-statement-ring thing, and I love that it would be affordable (more money for the honeymoon trip!) and that my boyfriend would be able to customize it and make it his own! (side note: pick ruby darling!)
But since we’re not getting married, and since I’m outside the US, I’d love to have my “American Mom” get herself something she likes… She’s a really hard-working, single Mom of 3, and she still found the time back when her children were kids to open her home and host foreign teenagers on holiday! I stayed with her family for 3 weeks one summer to improve my English, and have been back countless times since 🙂 Now we’re all grown-up, and I love her to bits!! She’d so deserve and enjoy this treat for herself 🙂

I’m with you for a stackable ring. Something simple. Because I’m a simple sort of gal (like a no makeup no jewelry sort of gal) but I’m feeling the need lately to remind myself that although i am a mom now, I still need to take care of myself. I need to remind myself that I am of value and I deserve nice things sometimes. I don’t have to give myself up entirely. And I need to show my son that also. And now I need my own kleenex box and darn it, katie, the comment posting isn’t supposed to make me cry.

I have never heard of “Gemma Gray” and now I’ve spent the past 30 minutes on the website falling in love with everything! I rarely wear jewelry after having two kids under two and it would make me feel so special to have a little something shinny to make me feel good when I’m busy cleaning up kid messes. 🙂 I would go with the same earrings you have with a different stone to match one of my kids birth months (January/October). So hard to choose! I think I’d get the gem disc drop earrings with blue topaz but the stacking rings are a close second. I love that the gems are blue like my little guy’s eyes and they’re simple enough to wear everyday and on special occasions too. Becoming a mom had been the very best and most challenging thing I’ve ever done! My son looks so much like his daddy (which I love) but he did get my dark blue eyes!

I would go for the oval briolette ring in blue topaz! I have a lovely blue topaz ring I received years ago from my mother, which sadly doesn’t fit anymore as I’ve gained a few lbs and apparently that includes my fingers. I’m turning 30 next month so this would be a celebratory ring! 🙂
Rose says
I would get the bracelet with the initial on it in silver (because I am a sucker for initials!). So pretty and so many great pieces to choose from 🙂
Erika says
I’d definitely get the three stone bar ring! I often feel like my right ring finger is naked because I don’t have a good every day piece to wear. I might pick birthstones that reflect a special meaning of my family, but I’d also be tempted to just pick colors that make me feel cheerful and happy!

Stacking rings! I have really horrible hand eczema and I can’t wear my wedding rings right now. These are simple – less nooks for dirt and moisture to get trapped against my skin.
Andrea says
So many beautiful pieces! I would get a stackable ring to represent my son and one to represent the little girl due in August. They are so simple and beautiful.
Naomi says
I’d choose a stamped bar necklace for motherhood.
Ashley J says
If I were so lucky, I’d choose the Stamped Initial Bar Bracelet. We’re expecting our first little one at the end of October, and when we find out if Baby is a he or she in a few weeks, I’d love to get their (already-decided-but-secret) initial to wear. For the stone, a diamond, because: Timeless. And just like the ‘diamond is forever’ saying, this little guy or girl is making me a mama for life!
Thanks for cluing us all in to this beautiful site! I’m now a Gemma Gray fan.
carrie eastman says

The bypass ring!! Not for me, for my very pregnant, very hormonal sister. 🙂 She’s due in October with her 2nd baby, and I’d love to get her a piece of jewelry with the 2 birthstones to commemorate the occasion.
Annnnnnd, if I were getting something for myself, I’d get the 3 stone bar necklace with birthstones for my 2 sisters and me. 🙂
Jackie says

I love how minimalistic this company is! Gemma Gray and Gemrava are awesome! Here is what I would pick:
http://gemmagray.gemvara.com/jewelry/stacking-ring/round-green-tourmaline-14k-white-gold-ring/11ltfy. I’d use it as a replacement wedding band, instead of the cheap plain plated one I have now. I love the green stone (favorite color), and it is the birthstone of my husband-to-be.

I would love the stacking rings – one for my daughter’s birthstone and one for my son’s. I’ve recently discovered rose gold and really like how it complements my skin tone so I’m loving the eclipse pear drop earrings in rose gold with london blue topaz stone in honor of my daughter. Figure I’ve worn diamond studs for probably the last 10 years – it wouldn’t kill me to switch them out for something else now and again.
Laura V says
I would choose the 3 stone bar bracelet in Rose gold and sterling silver, with citrine, aquamarine and blue topaz to represent my three girls birthdays.
Molly says
I think I would either get three stackable bands to represent my three boys or maybe the bar ring with the three stones. Tough one, everything is so beautiful and Classic.
Heida says
I would choose the eclipse pear cluster charm pendant as a gift for my daughter to represent her three daughters. Emma her oldest has brown eyes but Sara and Zoey have blue eyes so one smoky quartz and two London blue topaz would be perfect!
Laura says

jennifer w says

Jen says
I would get a ring or necklace with amethyst in it because when I was little I had a “jewelry” set that looked like amethyst stones that my mom would only let me wear to church. It made me feel so special! One year it was lost, and I never saw it again. So, if I could, I would get something that reminded me of that set.:)
Jill says
I love the bold oval ring and wish they had it with an aquamarine stone. My grandmother’s birthday was in March and she would have loved that ring.

I would get the stacker rings to add to one I already have from my childhood. I think I would get my parents’ birthstones. love these!
Angie says
I would get two of the stackable rings, one representing me and one my mom. I lost her 2 years ago. She taught me who I am, she taught me how to be a mom ( although I will never be as good a one as she was) and how to be a friend. She was the kindest and most compassionate person I will ever know. It would represent, to me, that her and I will always be together.

I’d do a stacking ring, to temporarily replace my wedding band that I’ve lost until we can replace it. 🙁
Thanks for doing this giveaway, I’m probably going to just order one anyway. Their pricing is awesome and it’s real gold so it won’t turn my stupid allergic skin. 🙂
Stacy says
I would love to get something special for my precious mom. She is a giver in every way and it is so hard to find something meaningful that would remind her just how much she is loved. Maybe the five stone ring with a stone for each grandchild. Or, the bold pear drop earrings, which are just classy and gorgeous. There is nothing I could ever give her to properly express my appreciation, love and gratitude for her. But I would love the opportunity to try!
Kaela Wiens says
I’m loving everything, how do you pick!? I’d start with a stamped ring with stackables with my daughters birthstones. I love costume and personable jewelry!

LEE SA CONNOR says
I WOULD GET THE 3 STONE BAR NECKLACE FOR MY 3 BOYS.
I NEVER WANTED CHILDREN. I WAS THE OLDEST OF 2 BROTHERS AND 5 SISTERS.
I MET MY HUSBAND, WHO HAS 2 BOYS FROM A PREVIOUS MARRIAGE, WHICH MADE ME VERY CAUTIOUS TO GET INVOLVED. EVENTUALLY THINGS BECAME SERIOUS BETWEEN US BUT I NEVER REFERRED TO THEM AS MY CHILDREN. WHEN MY HUSBAND PROPOSED TO ME, THE BOYS WERE INVOLVED. ALL 3 ASKED ME. I REALIZED RIGHT THEN THAT I LOVED THEM LIKE MY OWN. ON OUR WEDDING DAY, (IT WAS JUST ME, MY HUSBAND AND THEM), I MADE A VOW TO ALWAYS LOVE THEM AND PUT THEM FIRST. THE LOVE THAT THEY GIVE AND SHOW ME IS SO DIFFERENT THEN ANY LOVE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. SO MUCH SO THAT WE DECIDED TO ADD ANOTHER ONE IN THE MIX. 4 YEARS LATER, I WOULD NEVER TRADE ANY OF THE HARDSHIPS AND ADJUSTMENTS THAT WE WENT THROUGH.
Tara says
Wow I’m obsessed with the gold bar necklace with the gemstones! So pretty! I also love your hair with that braid. You should do a hair tutorial! 🙂
Megan says
I would definitely go for some sort of gemstone ring or earring. I love a light blue stone! That is the color of my husbands eyes, a bright sky blue that I am eternally jealous of!
Dana says
It would be hard to choose! I would probably get a stackable ring with pink tourmaline or opal to represent my baby due in October. I already have a garnet stacking ring for my first babe 🙂

BeccaS says
I love the Eclipse Pear Cluster Charm Pendant!
I have 3 boys and would love to have a necklace like this with their birthstones. I think this is a unique spin on the Mother’s type jewelry.
Lorna says
Isn’t it funny how the universe sometimes works? Yesterday, my husband had to cut off the ring I’ve worn on my right hand since high school graduation. I’m 20 weeks pregnant and that ring in all honesty has been snug for years (it’s a size 3.5!) But I loved that ring and was sorry to see it go. My mom offered to go shopping with me to replace it but I felt that its replacement should be equally as important as its predecessor. And then my husband suggested a tiny band with our baby’s birthstone and my heart sung. This is our first baby and I cannot think of anything more deserving off that honored spot on my hand! And then, here is your blog post! Talking about just that! I would choose the stacking ring with the pink tourmaline stone – the birthstone for October, the month our little nugget is due.
Jil Swift says
I would get the stackable ring in all of the birthstones of my family. We all have different stones, so it would be pretty awesome!
Rebecca says
The bold round ring, so so pretty!
Shannon says
I love the gemstone cluster stud earrings with three stones representing my birthstone, my mom’s birthstone and my dad’s. My dad passed away three years ago, and it’d be a little symbol of when our family was all together.
Megan B. says
Ooh! I’ve liked the gemvara stuff ever since i first read about it on your blog! I would probably get either the stamped initial bar necklace or the three stone bar ring.
Samantha says
I want the eclipse cushion drop earrings in blue topaz. Blue topaz reminds me of my dad’s eyes (I inherited them) and unfortunately my dad lost his battle with cancer last March, with Father’s Day coming up I would love to have this reminder of him! He was an amazing man and is greatly missed.
Stephanie says
I love love this website – great recommendation. I customized a Double Gem Disc Necklace with a silver chain and rose gold disc….the two gems I chose were tanzanite and blue sapphire..the color of the disc just brings out the blue and purple beautifully….not to mention my favorite colors….and honestly, this piece would be just for me since I find it to be absolutely beautiful. I can’t think of a day that it would not make me smile to put on this necklace. My daughters have red and green birthstones…and since those colors don’t remind me of their personalities, I chose not to use them for this piece. Okay I can’t stop looking at the photo of the piece I customized….so pretty, like a little piece of art.
Tracy B says
I would do the five stone ring. It is perfect for my story. – Three stones for the three miscarriages and babies that I have in heaven. (The due date birth stone for each) And also the other two would be August birthstone for my sweet twin boys that I had this past August after three years of infertility and loss. This would be so special.
Emily says
I love the bar bracelet and would add my children’s birthstones. The jewelry is beautiful! I love how sentimental it is, but also just a gorgeous work of art. I would love to collect some pieces to add to my heirloom collection. I think passing jewelry on to future generations is such a lovely idea.
Katie S says
Love that Bold East West Pear Necklace!
Katie Nelson says
I would pick the sterling silver initial bar necklace, so simple and pretty!

Jenny says
I would probably go with the triple gem necklace. So pretty!!
Laura VanDonkelaar says
I LOVE the Gem Disc Stud Earrings. How simple and sweet. Make me think of my Grandma June who passed away last year. She was…gosh, as I think about describing her I still don’t have a word that would really describe how wonderful she was. Sweet, simple, the definition of love. So many things I do in my day to day life make me think of her. I would love to wear something simple, that could go with anything, that would remind me of Junie.
Courtney Tyson says
I would get three stackable rings. One with a ‘L’, an ‘E’ and a ‘B’. I lost two precious babies in utero, and am carrying my third now. I’ve always talked about wanted to memorialize them with stackable rings.

Maryanne W. says
Double Gem Disc necklace customized with my kids’ birthstones!
Anne-Marie says
There are so many pretty things! I like the eclipse cushion drop earrings and I also love the eclipse area cluster charm pendant necklace! I never buy things for myself, so this would be a super splurge that I wouldn’t have to feel guilty about! 🙂
June Lisle says
One item I love is the FIVE STONE FRONT RING. I liked a lot of items. I guess I can’t put a finger on exactly what I want and why I am so into pretty things lately. I guess having a baby and being pregnant is making me extra emotional and girly.
Stacey says
I’m in the Navy and am only allowed to wear these super ugly brush gold ball earrings. A while ago, I forgot to take my diamonds out and was wearing them in uniform, someone brought it up and I immediately took them out. I was pregnant at the time and apparently lost my mind due to being an awful pregnant girl and now I can’t find them! I would choose ANY pretty earrings that can take the place of my lovely diamonds (I am still waiting for the return of my brain so I can remember where I put them!).
Misty says
The necklace with the initials!
Adrienne says
Oh, these are lovely! I love the stamped bar necklaces. I’d probably get one with my daughters’ initials, in silver 🙂
Nikki says
I like the bar necklace
Lori D says
I like the stacking rings and also the eclipse marquis pendant. But there are so many beautiful pieces!
Emily says
Love the three stone bar ring and necklace.
Ki says
I’d choose the Three Stone Bar Ring- one stone for the husband, one for our 20 month old girl, and one for our newest little lady due this fall. (But I’d keep the diamonds- sorry girls, but you’re August and (probably) November babies just like your uncle and I, and we could not have had worse luck when it comes to birth stones!)
Brie'n Miller says
I love the bar necklace! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
Chaela says
I just adore that simple gold ring with the tiny diamond in the center.
lisa says

nic says
oooh… definitely the stackable rings with the birthstones of the whole family!!
Kristin says
I love the necklace with initials! Very cute.
Andrea says
Designing my own jewelry??? Yay! I love the stamped initial bar ring in stearling sapphire(http://gemmagray.gemvara.com/jewelry/stamped-initial-bar-ring/round-blue-sapphire-sterling-silver-ring/11bf73) with blue sapphire (my birthstone) and my first initial. I went through a pretty rough patch a few years ago because I changed myself to make someone else happy, which turned out to make me incredibly unhappy and not who I wanted to be at all. Since then I’ve learned that while I truly enjoy doing things to bring others joy, I need to be true to myself as well. Having a piece of jewelry that is simple enough to wear every day, but that reminds me who I am, and to be myself, would mean so much!
Kelly B says
I like the stamped initial bar necklace. It would be simple yet classic…and for me!!!
Jessica C says
I am loving the sterling silver initial bar necklace or possibly the stackable ring.
Cora says
I would love the bypass ring with a diamond for my youngest and a ruby for my oldest.
Megan U says
I love the ECLIPSE PEAR CLUSTER CHARM PENDANT. So pretty! And such a wonderful every day piece as well. I do love the stamped bar pendant necklace as well. With the stones, I’d customize with blue topaz, smoky quartz and green tourmaline to match my kids (and husbands!) beautiful eyes.
The stamped bar pendant I’d do with my grandma’s initials because our son was named after her (maiden name) and she was such a special woman whom I wish my kids would have been able to know for longer than just a few years.
Amanda says
Anything with triple stones so I could have one of each of my baby girl’s stones in it. I like the stacked ring and particularly the triple stone necklace so I could keep that symbol of them close to my heart even when I have to be away from my babies.
Angela E. says
I would love the Bypass Ring. I have a one year old and our second baby is due in October, so I would get their birthstones! I had a ring with my first child’s initial but it broke so this would be a great replacement!
Elizabeth says
I would go with the five stone front ring. After going through the Beth Moore study, Believing God, where we used a blue cord to help us remember the five truths about ourselves and God, I would customize it with blue stones to remind me of these things.
Laura B says
I would totally get stack able rings in my son’s birthstones. I pretty much love everything on that site!!
Amy says
I had no idea I was in love with Gemma Gray! I am! I love the three stone bar ring- I’d think of my husband and 3 boys… and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the bracelets!
chelsea says
Since I am a first time mom (due in July!) I would LOVE to have a stamped bar necklace with baby #1’s initial in rose gold. Although there is a huge part of me that wants a stackable ring because something needs to replace my wedding ring for the time being #fattyfingers 🙂 The bracelets are pretty awesome too!
Heather says
I would choose the three stone ring. Expecting our first, it would be cute to do our three birth stones.
Leslie says
I would love some stackable rings!
Nicole says
Ooh stamped initial bar ring! I wonder if they would stack ?
Rachelle says
I love your blog – long time reader!
Upon your recommendation, I ordered three items from Gemma Gray as a First Mother’s Day gift to myself, and I have been quite disappointed with Gemma Gray’s customer services. I still have not yet received my pieces and they continue to wait until the night before I am supposed to receive my order to let me know that there was a problem with something and it hadn’t shipped. This has happened twice now, and apparently I will only be receiving two of the three items. I hope I am as pleased as you were with the quality of the items… if I ever receive them :(. Anyway, just thought you’d like to know your reader’s experience with the vendors you recommend.
Jaime B says
i would love the stackable ring with my daughters birthstone (which is also a diamond). We waited a long time for her and I will never forget the day she arrived and made me a mama.
Katie says
Oh no! That doesn’t sound like my experience at all! I actually made my second order (for the ring) under another name because I wanted to see anonymously if the customer service was good and I had a great experience. Maybe you could express it to them that a earlier notification is needed.

Rachelle says
Thank you, Katie. I did reach out to them and I received a nice email and phone call (!) from their Jewelry Consultant Manager expressing his apologies. They even offered to give me one of my pieces for free. So, although initially, my experience wasn’t stellar, I very much appreciate and respect a company that makes up for it! And, I’m happy with the two beautiful pieces I just got today – the third will be coming next week!
Katie says
Oh good! They have excellent reputation for customer service so I was surprised to read your original comment. I am so glad that they remedied it for you and that you love those bits of beauty!
