I’m off to celebrate the 4th with a parade, family time, and some good ole fashioned independence fireworks. Hope you guys get to do the same. But if not….if you’re bored…stuck with a computer…or just in the mood for a little patriotism….here are some blasts from the past boasting red, white and blue through and through. It’ll make George Washington proud….click on the photos for more!
And may God please bless America. land that I love 🙂

Happy 4th of July to you and your family (from your readers up here in Canada!)

I think we might just see some from a parking lot (the loudness will probably be hard on Will so we will only need a couple!)

AH! The Currier & Ives plate! My grandmother had those plates and I absolutely loved them, she had a few with some chips on the edges and somehow I always ended up getting the chipped plate! Brings back memories just seeing a picture of one! I found a small one at a flea market but it doesn’t have the same design as the big ones, I hope I can find a large plate someday!

For some reason this post reminded me of your garden. I can’t remember if this is the year you planted a bunch of stuff…if so, how is everything growing?!
Love the pictures!
