We are so excited to announce the arrival of our newest family member!  Our little Maxwell Knight Bower arrived on Saturday evening weighing in at 9 lbs 9 oz….our smallest baby yet…and 21 inches long.  He has dark hair, dark eyes and sounds like a kitten when he cries!  The boys met him yesterday and all had the cutest reactions.  Will wanted to hold him.  the.  entire.  time.  And Weston wanted to carry him around.  And LJ just wanted to poke him in the cheek and the forehead.  I joke that he was doing quality control testing 🙂 We are all doing really well and we can’t wait to share more…including the ten thousand photos we have taken so far.  Thank you so much for all your encouragement and kind words this week on the blog and on social media.  It’s wonderful knowing that our little Max has so many people cheering him on!   Much love – Jeremy and Katie Bower

    Knight is my maiden name .. I’ve never heard it used as a first or middle name but I think you’ve used it perfectly.

  140. That name was my first choice but Jeremy really wanted Max…we compromised with Maxwell and Knight as the middle name. It isn’t a family name or anything like that…just really LOVE the meanings.

  143. Congratulations! ♡♡ I saw on instagram that you were going through a rough patch and had a couple clogged ducts. I had the worst time with clogged ducts with my first little. It was a daily, sometimes hourly thing. As soon as I uncloged one I’d get another a few hours later. Once it was so bad that I couldn’t get a single drop of milk out of my right side for 17 hours!! The only thing that helped with all the clogs was taking lecithin pills and not eating things with saturated fat in them. Once I did that regularly the clogs were far and few in between and lot easier to unclog when I did get one. Just something I thought I’d mention, I know all too well that the warm baths, heating pads and extra nursing or pumping doesn’t always get rid of the clog. Sorry for the unsolicited advice but I do hope you’re feeling better soon!

My first of three sons is Maxwell. 🙂 Your sweet instagram pictures inspire me to possibly try for a 4th (son or daughter would both be fine, but I’m sure we’d have a boy!). Ours are close together too – my Max is 3&1/2, then we have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Fun times! Enjoy Katie and great job on another successful VBAC!
