The leftover flowers from Will’s birthday party found a home on our kitchen window sill with the extra spice bottles. I think I love it.
What is it about spring that makes me want to have pretty things around me? I’ve never been one for spring cleaning…but I can feel the urge to actually tackle another room in the house. Yup…you may be wondering…but every single room looks exactly like this old chaos except for the bathroom. Oh and the garage. We finally just relocated the stuff from the garage into the basement. We didn’t organize it, mind you…just moved it.
But these little flowers inspire me. I think I’m finally ready to do Will’s pink room. I saw a color study documentary on how people painted prison cells hot pink and twice as many inmates developed psychotic behaviour. I don’t know if it’s true but I could use a little less crazy from Will.
And since we have been doing ZILCH to the inside…we have been doing the exact opposite outside. We are out there every day tackling another new thing. I can’t wait to show you. It’s been wonderful-dirt-under-the-nails-and-treating-poison-ivy-ness.
But until then…remember that if flowers were friends, I’d pick you. Cheesy…but true 🙂
p.s. I’m try to post twice a week this week…gotta catch you up on all things Bower…don’t hold me to it…but I’m gonna try.

Oh yes!! Beautiful flowers in the window!! Love this! I will live through you because our windows are too low to hold anything and not have little hands grabbing them! Boo!
So simple and pretty!

Preeeeeety flowers!
You could also get some bulbs, just rest bulb on the top or wedge it in so water touches the bottom of it, and it will grow into a pretty flower! 🙂

I can’t wait to see what you do with Will’s room!! And just had to tell ya about this…I’m from Iowa and our University of Iowa Hawkeye football team is famous for having the visitors locker room painted pink. The walls, floors, toilets, lockers, urinals, and showers are all painted pink. Crazy right. It was the idea of the head coach many years back who was a psychology major in college and read somewhere that pink is actually CALMING! But it’s beleived he just wanted to mess with the other team’s head. haha. Anyway, just thought it was funny that one study (at least years back) said that pink was calming! 🙂

Oh…I can’t wait for the rain to end here in Western PA so I can get out to do yardwork. Noah and the Ark stopped by and asked that I say Hi to you from them all!!! I guess I’ll just look at your pretty flowers and dream about the sun.

I once heard that the color pink made you hungry. Never tested that one out though.

Love the flowers – they’re so bright and cheery! And I can’t wait to see what you end up doing in Will’s room. His room in your old house was so creative that I know you’ll come up with something wonderful!

So excited to see what you end up doing in Will’s room…on a side note, I do a color connotation unit with my students when we read The Great Gatsby, and students do presentations on a color of their choice. Last year, I learned that weight lifters can lift more weight in gyms painted blue and yellow is the first color the eye processes. I don’t know if that really changes anyone’s paint choices, but interesting, right?!
