Okay party people! I know it’s last minute, but let’s all admit it….that’s how we roll and that’s ok. As long as we get the job done, right!?
So here is the 2016 Bower Power Father’s Day Gift Guide and it’s as dope as something-really-really-dope (I don’t know what is cool anymore because I am a 35 year old mom of four little kids and my toddler lost my dope card ten minutes ago). The best part about this gift guide is that it comes straight from the horse’s mouth. Yup. My darling boy-toy Jeremy came up with a list of things that he loves and uses all the time and then a list of things that he would like to own. Those two lists married together equals this awesome union…..
Recognize anything we currently installed? And there is more in this breakdown list!
Wahoo!
Okay – let’s explain everything so you can kinda know what you are buying for your main squeeze….
The Tile. This little doohickey is a bluetooth tracker to find all those lost items. You can attach it to your key ring and locate those lost babies by sound or location on your phone. Or you can attach it to your phone and it will make it ring even if the phone is on silent. Honestly I don’t know if this is more for Jeremy or me….maybe it’s just his way of eliminating the need to search for my phone every day 🙂
We own this Stok mini grill and it is the perfect companion for camping! I love the fact that it is small enough for even Will to carry but big enough to cook a bunch of burgers. At the yurt, every one asked us where we got ours 🙂 And yes, I still need to blog about the yurt!
A little known fact about my main man….he wears bathing suits pretty much all the time. Since he works from home, he can get away with that 🙂 He claims that they are lighter weight and breezy for these hot summers and I gotta admit that this one would look pretty amazing on him with some tanned legs.
We are both Walking Dead fans….but you don’t have to know Rick Grimes personally to see the humor in this tee. Jeremy actually modeled for the dad with stroller pic in this shirt….not really but almost 🙂
OMG the men in my family are all about smoking meat right now. Everyone. My dad. My brother. My brother in law. Everyone is on the smoky train to yum-town. And I will not disagree. It’s amazing. Jeremy picked out this book to help the cause.
I just got my first pair of Beats headphones for Mother’s day….I’m so cool now you have no idea. And I think that these ones making the list is Jeremy’s way of giving me the full elbow nudge. I hear you loud and clear hun.
This past weekend we went to Will’s baseball tournament and it was 95 degrees out with sweltering humidity. I almost passed out in the car with the air on. I wish I were kidding. I felt so bad for the boys in the dug out because they were wearing long baseball pants and downing any cold drink in sight. After the first day, we ran out to Home Depot and bought one of these mister fans. You fill the bucket with icy cold water and then the fan (battery operated) blows out the cool air and misty goodness. It’s a total game changer. Pun intended. The kids looked like some weird commercial for hair products in front of it….but they were cool and I didn’t need to worry about heat stroke 🙂
Mini corn hole with launcher game? Um. SOLD.
This is the garage door opener that we just installed in our garage and let me tell you…even my dad noticed how amazing it is….and that man has everything. This is perfect for the man who has it all!
Jeremy did a ton of research on CrossFit racks and this Titan Fitness one is the winner in his book for price and how well it’s made and the fact that it folds up. Now he doesn’t have to drive across town to work on his back squats….and ladies….we want them to practice all the back squats….trust.
Roku is our bestie in the Bower house. Any TV in the house, you can plug in the Roku stick and stream all your favorite shows, your music and movies. It’s fast and really easy to use. Plus it’s under $40.
I’ve shared this little air inflator before but I am surprised it made the cut for Jeremy! I know he uses it for bike tires, lawn mower tires, balls, and the four wheeler……now that I think about it….I’m not surprised at all.
We bought a Canon Selphy printer a long time ago and now they have a new one and it looks like Jeremy wants in on the action. Yes, I am a little possessive of the photo printers. But can you blame me? Now he can tuck this bad boy in his bedside drawer (it’s small but creates 4×6’s like a pro), pull up the photos on his phone and print off those baseball pictures that he loves #prouddad
Ready to fight aliens with your iPhone? I love the old school styling of this vintage inspired game and it looks like it’s just a fun way for dad’s to share with the little ones that old dogs can learn new tricks….and save the universe while doing it 🙂
Jeremy needs this shirt like yesterday. Nothing has ever been more true ever.
Total TMI moment….I bought these underwear for Jeremy’s Easter Basket and he wears them CONSTANTLY. Like he will dig through an entire basket of underwear to find them. He claims that there is no way that I bought them at Target. It’s true darling.
And if you are looking for more DIY minded Father’s Day gifts – here are a few oldies but goodies from years past….

OMG. I thought my hubby was the only one who wore bathing suit trunks ALL. THE. TIME. So weird.

Just so you know, it’s incredibly hard to view your website on mobile phones now. The ads get in the way forcing me to continually unintentionally click them and leave your page while trying to scroll down. Eventually I give up and just stop trying to finish the post.
Also, sometimes the menu sidebar shows up for no apparent reason and creates issues with reading. I don’t have these problems with any other blogs I read on my phone.
Katie says
I’ve been having that same issue. I will definitely talk to the ad manager about it.

Hi Katie! Just wanted to chime in and let you know that I took your advice and bought the hubs that cute little STOK grill to throw in the camp trailer. Thanks for the tip! I have to ask, after disassembling it to fit it in the bag, is it a pain to clean after using? It seems like you would want to clean it out before you start stacking it back together.
Katie says
I did bring spray cleaner and dish detergent to clean it and yes – it is a SLIGHT pain to do it at the camp ground (I never feel like things are 100% washed when you clean them there). BUT I definitely recommend cleaning it there and doing a deep clean when you get back home too 🙂
