Father’s Day is six days away and I am so excited to celebrate this hunk of a man right here….
And he was a serious sport because he is helping me out today to go outside of his comfort zone and model some fashion finds for the men in your life. Jeremy in general has great style but he sticks to things that meet his specific criteria….
- comfort (stretch is a big deal)
- lightweight (Jeremy has been known to wear bathing suits in the middle of winter to avoid sweating)
- rugged/sporty/classic style (he falls more into rugged than modern, more sporty than rock-n-roll, and more classic than trendy)
So we spent HOURS scouring his favorite places to find items that all fit the bill for him to approve of the look and me to approve the price point! This is what we found and we think that they would be a great gift for any man in your life.
shirt – pants – sneakers – watch
This baseball style henley shirt was my favorite find because I feel like it’s super versatile and this would be the ultimate casual outfit. The pants Jeremy loved because they were super stretchy and he didn’t feel like “his man parts were being suffocated” – apparently that’s a problem with pants sometimes. When he first held the pants up, he said there was no way he could fit into them but ultimately they were true to size and he said that he loved the alternative to jeans! Also I suggested cuffing them (see photo #1) and he has never laughed that hard in his life. I still think they look great!
anchor shirt – pants – flip-flops – watch
The anchor shirt was an alternative to pair with the lightweight stretch pants and he said that this would definitely be something that he could wear on vacation. I like the pants paired with the flip flops. He owns some Reef brand flip flops and these ones are a dupe of those with the color and the leather straps. He said they were almost identical in comfort level.
drifit polo – shorts – belt – loafers – watch
Jeremy LOVED this drifit polo and said numerous times that the shirt was just like his name brand ones and he would definitely add a couple more colors to his wardrobe. He paired it with this classic chino shorts and some loafers and said that this would be the perfect Sunday outfit.
tee – joggers – sneakers – watch
Jeremy wears a lot of sports related items and we love our classic movies so I surprised him with a Rocky themed tee and he said this look was dedicated to his buddies Billy & Jeff 🙂 He said his favorite item in this look was the joggers that have a drawstring tie, deep pockets, lots of stretch and have an athletic cut. The pants have a bazillion amazing reviews too!
tee – bathing suit – flip-flops
When I told him there was a bathing suit in the mix, he said he was not going to be sharing his farmers tan with the world today. You are missing out…it’s an amazing one. 🙂 BUT he did say that these were good when it came to a bathing suit. Normally he wears board shorts so these ones were shorter than what he was used to but he said that they were extremely comfortable!
shirt – chinos – loafers – watch
I asked if he would put together an office-look or church-look and I love what he came up with. The chinos are a great basic that everyone needs and he paired it with a light summery button down and some fold-down loafers. The back folds down so you can make them into a slide-on-shoe 🙂 I think he looks so classic here and I love that it reminds me of when he used to dress up for work!
polo – shorts – belt – boat shoes – watch
I will admit – I picked the shirt and he said it was way too big for him….but seriously guys…he looks so good in baby blue, it doesn’t even matter! This classic polo is the “dad shirt” that everyone has. It’s great as a golf or weekend shirt and Jeremy paired it with the dri-fit shorts that he LOVES. He actually said they are cut better than the Nike ones he has and loves so I think that is really saying something.
shirt – shorts – boat shoes – watch
Here is the same outfit but with a seersucker button down instead. He said that the shorts are super versatile so if your husband or dad needs a pair for everyday….this is the pair.
henley – plaid shirt – jeans – sneakers – watch
This is what we call the laid-back dad look. It can take you from ball games to Home Depot and to cook outs and home again. The plaid shirt is something straight outta the JCrew catalog but with a better price point and Jeremy wants me to tell you that he is OBSESSED (yes all capitals) with these jeans. In fact….if your husband doesn’t like denim, it’s because he hasn’t tried these pants yet. That’s straight from the horses mouth y’all.
All items are true to size except the anchor shirt which is a slimmer cut and runs a little small and the chino shorts – if you are between sizes, go up.
Okay so that is our father’s day fashion finds and I hope that you guys find something that you love for your own dear dad or husband. If nothing else, at least he will look good for that family photo 🙂
