This year the list didn’t vary that much from last year…maybe because we had so much fun we just wanted to punch repeat and call it a day? One major difference…having a little pumkin of our own 🙂

Sounds like so much fun! Fall is the best 🙂 Can’t wait to hear about all your adventures-especially new baby Bower.
Also, in addition, I just found this on pinterest and I’m thinking it’s a must add to my own fall list (drooooooling):

That seems like an ambitious list when you’re about to have a baby! Good luck!
Christina @ Homemade Ocean says
I was literally just making this list yesterday! Mine isn’t nearly as pretty 🙂
Sophie says
So fun! Will (and yourself and your boyfriend of course) is going to have a whale of a time!
When is your next little one due?
Susan says
I noticed finish kitchen is not in there…will you be done??? What about the baby room? Are you freaking out yet?
Alyssa says
Great list Katie!! We’ve already done the pumpkin patch, apple picking, hay ride and corn maze:) gotta get them in early here in WI before it eats too cold! When are you due again?
Carli says
Love this list!! Need to make my own asap! Thanks for the autumny inspiration 🙂
Katie says
November 5th 🙂

Katie says
Not till November 5th…but I’m thinking I might be a few days early this time 🙂

Katie says
Well, the finished kitchen isn’t really ‘family fun’ 🙂 It’s more like ‘never ending family to-do!”…and yeah, we haven’t even started with the nursery. And yes, both things freak me out. big time.

Katie says
I love it! I have an 8 month old son, so this is his first Fall and as it is my favorite season, I AM SO EXCITED to do all the fun fall things!!!
When is Baby Boy Bower due?!
Katie says
Not till November 5th…I’m hoping he stays a November baby just so I can dress up for Halloween 🙂

Oh, you CANNOT post such a cute graphic without posting a little tutorial!!! (I mean, you CAN, but PLEASE!!!!)
Great ideas, we have some we love too but I’ll definitely be stealing from yours! 😉 You definitely need to try one of my favorites — carve a baby pumpkin, rub the inside of the lid with yummy baking spices and light it in your kitchen. Your house will smell A.MA.ZING!!!!
Morgan says
Sounds like a great list, especially the last one!! How do you make your thankful tree? It sounds like a great thing to do and with life being so crazy right now it would be a daily reminder of the many AMAZING things we do have!
Hilarie says
Sounds fun! Can I ask what font you used for “Bower Family Fun List”? It’s cute, and I don’t know that I’ve seen it before!
Katie says
It’s just a photoshop creation…playing around with fonts till I liked it 🙂

Katie says
I plan on making it outta a branch and some spray paint and an old pot with rocks…we’ll hang leaves on it with our thankful items written on them 🙂

Katie says
It’s called Pea Devon Caps and I made it only 80% in height and made it bold.

Julie says
How did you get the chalkboard?
JanetL says
do you want to have the nursery done for the arrival or are you not as concerned since the baby might be staying in your room at first? Will you do a baby pool? I’m guessing the 6th…only because it’s my birthday. 🙂
patty says
waiting (fingers tapping) patiently for the kitchen reveal… i’m dreaming of how beautiful it will be… can’t wait.. but hey no pressure… hahahaha….
Emily says
Love fall family fun! We’ve gotten apples and pumpkins already up here in Upstate NY. Question- What is a pine cone bird feeder? Sounds like something my girls would really like:)
Katie says
It’s fun! Here is a mom that did it with her boys (I just did a quick search and liked her photo!).
xo – kb
Katie says
ME TOO! It’s not done yet or else I would show you. I have another progress post in the hopper though…
xo – kb
Katie says
I actually googled pics of chalkboards to see how other folks like them and then I just took a picture of the one that hangs (or used to hang) in our kitchen. Then I just made that the background.

Katie says
I WISH! We both knew that we would have the baby stay with us for at least six months…so we weren’t overly concerned about finishing the nursery before the baby arrived….I thought we would at least START it. DOH! And yes, we are gonna do a baby pool with a pretty cool prize!

Kathy says
Hi Katie, Kelsey used to do those pine cone feeders and hang then in the pine trees behind our house. Birds & squirrels love it!!!
Any idea when her photos will be ready? About time to do senior quote and picture for yearbook.
Thanks.
Kathy

Nice! I’ve seen y do this for a couple of seasons and sort of let them slip by. With four sweet boys, I am realizing I need to be intentional. I know my 5yr old will hold me accountable. Going to make one of these tomorrow night! Thanks for the consistent reminder of planning. Looks like a good fall is coming your way!!
liz @ btb says
So exciting! Just a month to go! Maybe you’ll have an election day baby.
Ashley says
I just did our list, too! I kind of hope it stays the same from year to year–more like traditions. I plan on doing a Halloween tree–you know, so the Great Pumpkin can leave presents for all the good little boys and girls…small stuff, like Halloween pencils or other small craft supplies. My mom did this with us growing up and it’s lots of fun. (Okay, we did it for ALL holidays–Cupid can come…The Grand Leprechaun comes…)Sounds like something you’d enjoy, too being the gift-lover!
Brenna says
One of my favorite pic of our oldest is when I carved a big hole in a pumpkin and stuck her in it. Yes, I did stick her in a walmart sack so she didn’t get all gross! HA!
Michelle says
Are you going to do a prego Snookie costume this year?! LOVED last year’s Jersey Shore photos!
Marcy Lendaro says
I love the idea of a thankful tree! I might have to add that to my own fall fun list! 🙂
Christine says
Great list! Do you have any recommendations of pumpkin patches with hayrides, petting zoo, kid stuff in the Atlanta/N GA area?
Caroline says
wahoo! Love this! Happy Fall! Can’t wait to “meet” Bower Baby 2 🙂
Katie says
Corn Dawgs is the one nearest us that has all that…but it’s not in the Atlanta area…it’s in Loganville. And I’ve heard of one in the Gainesville area but I don’t know the name. Sorry I’m not much help!
xo – kb
Katie says
haha…I did that too! And I was so proud when MyPublisher used it for one of their promotions!
xo – kb
Katie says
They are ready! I thought I sent out all the emails but yours might have not gone out. I’ll double check and resend either way. Sorry!

CUTE!

Katie says
Well, I generally don’t do the same costume every year…so no. I have a new one up my sleeve. I’m very excited about it.

Leah says
Sometimes I forget you’re prego because I’m not seeing monthly updates. 😉 Seems like it went by so fast though. Exciting!!
Abilu says
I created my own list this weekend after remembering yours from last year. In addition to the activities you included, I have added eat sweet potatoes (namely cupcakes) and cranberries (in just about anything), buy a sweater, pick apples, and drink Pumpkin beer/late harvest wine. Enjoy this special season and congrats on your new baby!
Melissa @HOUSEography says
Soooo…. much fun. Especially the last one :). We just did a neighborhood outdoor movie night party in our backyard. Such a huge hit with our neighbors that I’m going to do it as a preschool silent auction item donation! http://www.houseography.net/2012/10/party-backyard-movie-night.html

Pretty cool prize =’s babysitting? lol

Great list! Your list last year inspired me to do them for our family, we started with Summer Fun and I have just compiled our Fall/Winter list, I am not sure why I combined, but we have one heck of a list to complete thats for sure! So far have crossed off ‘cinema date’ my 2.5 yr old LOVED this, and last night we hit up the circus! Only another 40+ things to do!
Courtney says
Do you guys have a name picked out for baby Bower#2? Cant wait for the arivall. Sounds like a great fall ahead of you!
Karen R says
I was just talking to the hubs about making a list today. Fall is my favorite and I want to make the most of it. We want to take a trip to the mountains (North GA or maybe TN) to see some leaf-changing. Im definitely copying some of your ideas! I want to make an autumn wreath and have a photo shoot too! If you need an awesome place for a fall shoot let me know-I’ve got a place with big old barn, grassy fields, hay bales and a big john deer tractor! HAPPY FALL!
Katie says
Ohh…I’ll have to remember Pumpkin beer for next year…it sounds interesting 🙂
xo – kb
Katie says
We do but we don’t know what we are gonna call him yet so we are gonna wait till he’s born to figure that out (and then tell everyone).

Katie says
You had me at hay bales Karen!

Burts Pumpkin patch in North Georgia is amazing!!! It’s near Amicalola Falls.
Kathy says
No, I haven’t gotten anything!!!!! Thanks.
Katie says
I’m pregnant now and I actually had my husband buy a 6 pack of pumpkin beer so I can enjoy it after our little one arrives. It is delish!
cat says
great addition to the “to-do” list! we all can’t wait to virtually meet your new lil main squeeze 🙂
Our playgroup is making fall wreaths together…while the kids hopefully play and not insist on “helping” mama. Can’t wait to see what we all come up with- what did we do before Pinterest???
