Well, dear ole St. Nick, we have been good all year. It shocked us too.
Will should get extra credit for dealing with the two of us as parents for the past 8 months.
And we want you to know that we don’t NEED a single thing on our Christmas lists. We are perfectly happy without anything under our Christmas tree. But since you asked, our ever-polite brains told us that it would be rude not to share some of the things that caught our eye. Oh and by the way, it goes without saying that the top thing on our list would be this:
XO – the Bowers
p.s. Please feel free to tell the Elves that we appreciate their hardwork…we know they don’t get a lot of credit these days…what with the outsourcing and all. Also, please remember to slowjam with Mrs. Clause, we know she’s a little cushy around the middle…but that is just more to love.

I hope Will gets I Love You Through and Through! I read that and Goodnight Moon to my son every night. Love those books! A 5D is on my wishlist also. I hope you get it. And by some miracle I hope I get one too! 😀

Hey Katie – I know it may be a little pricey and at the last minute, but I noticed that Jeremy has Seinfeld on his wish list. Today the entire series of Seinfeld is the Gold Box deal of the day on Amazon and it’s only $85 for the whole set! Thought I’d drop a line juuuust in case you might be interested 🙂 Love your blog! (Also, thanks for the idea about the yearly highlights that you found somewhere and shared the other day – we’re doing the same thing for our annual newsletter now!)
brandt @ New House on the Blog says
I’ve heard good things about the Kodak Zi8. If I woudln’t have got such a killer deal on our video camera (Flip Mino HD refurbished for $70.00, video in 720p with 2 hours of capture), I would have made the jump.
The Kodak does 2 things that I would LOVE on my Mino – the ability to take video in 1080p, and the ability to upgrade the SD/SDHC cards up to 32GB (mine only goes to 8GB).
That being said, the link to Amazon you put up is a price almost too good to be true!
And the Marshmallow Stryker is now officially on my list. Just imagine the epic ‘mallow wars that could be had with that thing!

I got the Chef’s Choice Waffle Cone Maker for my birthday this year and LOVE it!!! The waffle cones are so yummy and really easy to make. Everyone we’ve made them for loves them. It’s extra great to dip the tops in chocolate and cover with sprinkles. Yummm! I definitely recommend this.

Great lists! I splurged and got my hubby a GoPro HD cam for his last birthday. It is awesome! I’d totally recommend it. Love that thing. I especially love when he hooks it up backwards to look at our 6-year-old son riding the trail-a-bike behind his mountain bike on some of the “easier” mountain bike trails near our house. I love the look on my sons face as he rides behind his daddy. Priceless! We’ve used it on a rafting trip to get pics of the kids and just got a chest strap so we can film them skiing. I got it for the hubs, but it’s great for filming the kiddos activities too!

Katie,
When registering for wedding gifts last year, my now husband thought that Marshmallow Strykers would be a fine addition to our list and I knew no one would ever buy them so I let him add them to the registry. Well…long story short we got a “his and hers” set of marshmallow guns….our dog, Harvey, loves when it’s time to shoot marshmallows at each other…he cleans them right up for us!
Ami @ beyondpeasandcarrots says
we just picked up some of those Ikea hand puppets for my son last weekend!! He loves them 🙂
Christina says
That is too funny- I have that same blue American Eagle sweater off your list on my Christmas list too!!!!! I haven’t tried it on yet, but I’m heading to the mall this weekend to see what size I should ask for 🙂 Great taste!

I got a Kitchen Aid Mixer for a our wedding 2 years ago. Its life changing if you enjoy baking. After blowing out TWO hand mixers while making Hershey PB Kiss Cookies, this thing makes short work of them!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT…if Santa of course gets it for you. 🙂

Hey Katie,
Love your blog! Just wanted to warn you a little about that ball popper. It is cute and the kids love it but it can be annoying for the parents. My daughter has one she got when she was two: the music is VERY loud and the balls end up going everywhere when they come out (some getting lost.) Also I worry about a hand or arm getting stuck in the tube where the balls come out since she tries to get the balls before or after they shoot out. We only pull it out occasionally. Just an FYI…hope you have a great Christmas!
Kate says
I have that Jo Totes bag in green and LOVE it. Camera bag, diaper bag, purse and catch-all in one cute package–you can’t go wrong. Also, Jeremy’s waffle cone make gave me a flashback to the summer I worked at Ben and Jerry’s and made waffle cones at the beginning of every shift. There were many burned fingers to speak of in August. Great lists–thanks for sharing it!

Once you go Chi, you never go back! Seriously, I got one in September and just cannot use any other straightener now!!
And 5dMarkII?! HELLO! 🙂
Found you through YHL– love your blog!

We read “I Love You Through And Through” at our house – such a cute story. The defacto standard for bedtime reading is “Snuggle Up, Sleepy Ones”. Beautiful pictures and a cute, rhyme-y tale that puts my munchkin in a sleepy mood.

I am not sure how Santa will get that house down your chimney, but I sure hope he finds a way! 😉 Still keeping my fingers crossed!!

The Chi Flat Iron and the KitchenAid mixer have changed my life!

Thanks for posting that Banana Republic suit on Jeremy’s list! My husband has asked for a new suit, and I wasn’t even going to attempt to search for one that would live up to his expectations, but that one looks amazing! And the 35% off at bananarepublic.com right now made it look even better. 🙂 As soon as I get home I will be raiding his closet to make sure I get the right size…
Carmel @ ourfifthhouse says
I really hope the house wish comes true! Oh, and by the way, that flat iron on your wish list will ROCK YOUR WORLD! Seriously, you will LOVE it. I got mine on ebay. Best. Purchase. Ever.
Also, Target has lots of plaid flannel shirts in the kids dept. right now! I just picked one up for my 6 yr. old boy that looks a lot like that one from Gymboree.

I love the ball popper! I mean…the kiddo that I used to babysit loved the ball popper when he was Will’s age. It was very entertaining to us. Will has good taste 😉
Missy’s probably right though…as a parent, it might get annoying. I only watched my kid for a couple of house once a week, so it never got old to me. But, I do remember chasing a few balls that rolled under the couch. It might be one of those toys that you just bring out when you have to have a babysitter!

Great lists – I love to see what you are wishing for! I have many wishes on my list too – a fancy camera and a bunch of cozy sweaters! I have the Cutco pearl knives that we got for our wedding and they are beautiful!
michelle r. says
I saw on your wish list you got a Zi8 video camera for Christmas (yes – already got it – my husband couldn’t wait!) 🙂 And, you SO need one!!! It is SO awesome!!! Especially with little ones and their milestones!! (My little boy is almost a year old)
Merry Christmas! 🙂

My son LOVES signing time – I don’t know if you have seen them all yet or not, but I think he enjoyed the “Baby Signing Time” series by the same gal even more than the regular signing time ones. They are geared more towards younger kids with more music,e tc. Most libraries have them, heck, maybe that’s how you found out about them. But if you haven’t seen the Baby ones then I suggest checking them out!
Shelley @ Green Eggs & Hamlet says
Great Christmas lists! My niece LOVES her ball popper (that sounds dirty but isn’t meant to!). I might get my guys COD Black Ops for Christmas but we only have Wii and I don’t know if it is as good as Xbox or Playstation. Finally, I love that AE snowflake toggle sweater, might have to add that to my list!
rebecca@the jordan jive says
i am totally impressed that you’ve made it this long without a CHI. i wish i could rock my hair without it. hope you get it! but i REALLY hope you get the camera more! or the house…. that too.

just a head’s up, if you’re able to get out to gap today, they are having 40% off everything. I usually hate jeans , but the new 1969 jeans collection is super soft and comfy and fits those of us girls who have hips and aren’t straight up and down. Even the skinny jeans in the collection are flattering.
Anne says
Oh Katie DONT GET A CHI!! I had them for years and have returned multiple ones…the really old ones are good. But the new ones have really gone down hill. They dont last and pull your hair…my sisters have had the same bad experiences!! What you want is a Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium. They cost about same as a Chi but are made to last and are awesome!!! My hair dresser recommended it a few years ago and I have never looked back!
Mandy Ford says
LOVE that AE sweater on your list…I don’t know if I like the snowflake or solid one better!

We have similar requests! I love the ON Chambray dress. I bought one they had this summer. Awe.Some. Also, we have the baby seat for my hub’s bike and it’s awesome! Both hubs and boy are very happy biking together. Now if only I could paddle my bacon-loving-thighs a little faster…

Although I gasped when I saw the price of that camera! It looks amazing!

Katie, I saw that super cute plaid shirt tonight at Gymboree. I almost purchased it for my nephew. I thought it was so cute! FYI – All of their shirts are 50% off right now!!!

I really hope you get the kitchen aid mixer!! It’s beyond fabulous. It makes me like being in the kitchen…….for reasons other than watching my husband cook. 😛

I agree that the Baby Signing Time DVDs are the best! I spent 7 (!!!) months trying to teach my twins ‘food’ & ‘more’…nuthin, nada, zilch. They watched BST once & signed ‘food’! Also, we have to refer to it by it’s initials or the boys make a beeline for the tv & start doing the signs for the name of the show. (They just hit 18 months & can do 20+ signs.) Just make sure you watch them a few times with Will or he’ll do a sign & you won’t have a clue!
Sandra says
Here’s a third mom that prefers Baby Signing Time for babies over Signing Time. We always get up and dance when she sings the Diaper Dance song. And now that I have to pee with the door open, he gets to see mommy sign”potty” all the time!
Not only are the songs and colors geared more toward babies, but the signs are more relevant too! 🙂
julie says
Katie I want that camera too. It at walmart.com for 2400.00 maybe jeremy will get that one for you. right. Love your blog

well good gravy. we have a lot of the same things on our lists, AND my kiddos have much of what is on Will’s list. Love love love the I Love you Through and Through book. So sweet. And still praying everything falls into place perfectly with the house.

I just posted about that striped Old Navy one-piece sweater… it was my first ever purchase for my little guy due in March- it arrived and it’s just as cute in person- good call 🙂

What fun lists! I don’t know if you already have some Cutco knives, but they are worth every penny. My hubby and I bought a set way back in the day when we were first married (7 years ago now) and they were a huge splurge at the time. The funny thing is-we use them constantly (and probably abuse them) but they still look and work just like when we first bought them!
Uh, that was kinda a long endorsement about some knives, haha. I promise I don’t work for them or anything. 🙂 Jenn

I know this post is old, but Will is going to love the signing time dvd’s!!! My son Parker began watching them at age 2. He knows probably over 100 signs now (he’s 3). Good choice, momma!
