What we bought for Black Friday

Hey Friends!  Happy Thanksgiving!  Are you still aching from too much food?!  Is family still milling about?  Did you get your fill of football and leftovers and thoughts of Christmas coming?  Less. than.  30.  Days.  AHHHHHH!!!!  We had a super low key gathering…just us, my sister and her family and my brother and his family.  It was only 6 adults and 9 kids….which is basically like nothing compared to years past…but it went without a hitch (there was some serious anxiety about roasting my first turkey!).  I will post a little photo recap soon for all of what we did 🙂

OK.  But now to the more exciting stuff.  I am sure you guys saw all the gift guides that were EVERYWHERE this past weekend….that can only mean one super sweet thing….it’s time to save people!  I did all my shopping online….yup….didn’t step a foot outside except to spend it with family.  And I’m pumped about the things I got.  I know I saved a bundle.  And there is still more to come….because dude…tomorrow is Cyber Monday and I am ready.   So here is a little shopping recap of the things we actually bought this week (or this month and LOVE) and so be ready to see them in some fashion/style/home posts in the future.

WHAT JEREMY BOUGHT

Jeremy has been officially transitioned to the more ‘skinny’ jean look (actually most of his jeans are slim cut but compared to the bootlegs of yesteryear….they are skinny).  He loves the AE jeans (fourteen, forty, whatever) because they stretch and he got another pair.  He also got sneakers and new casual leather dad boots/shoes that he needed.  He did get his new shirts – one of which is RED and the world rejoiced that it wasn’t blue LIKE EVERY OTHER SHIRT IN HIS CLOSET.

FOR THE HOME

DUDE.  I am gonna be pumped for decorating this year because our bedroom will even get a little sprucing.  That could be a tree pun….I’m still deciding 🙂  The fact is…my master bedroom is getting a lot of attention right now and it is coming together SO FREAKING NICELY.  I bought a bunch of new Christmas stuff to go in there because it’s a no-kid zone and the breakable stuff is an option again 🙂

WHAT I BOUGHT

Yes.  That’s a lot of clothing.  But I did come to terms with the fact that I am probably never gonna be a size 2 again and I got rid of a TON of stuff that was in my closet since 2001.  And the prices were too good.  Way.  Too.  Good.

STUFF FOR THE BOYS

Admittedly, we haven’t gotten a lot for the kids this year because we are giving them a super big epic family-changing surprise this year.  More on that secret later!!!  In the mean time, we did get Anki Overdrive for Will & Weston because they have been asking for it pretty much on a weekly basis since last year.  I scored a few of those tough trucks (we have the firetruck already) but got the recycling truck and the school bus for the two little ones….and we have a few items on the wish list to get too.

CHRISTMAS WISHLIST

So the Christmas wish list is the section where I talk about the things that I am buying probably today or giving Jeremy the big wink-wink-nod-nod for me for Christmas.  I already told him to give me ALL the magazine subscriptions.  Click on that Real Simple and see the ridiculously low price.  Unreal.  And I told him the scarf is amazing….I’ll take it in that color and the one that is  labeled ‘light red’.  Obviosuly the biggest WISH is that camera.  I need it though.  REALLY bad.
