Halloween is looming and nothing is more than trick or treating with friends! You guys know how much I absolutely love Halloween – it’s the costumes! The sweets! The memories with friends and family! And this year I wanted to make it extra special by dropping off some special sweets with a variety of Boo Bags! And of course, I made sure that I used my PIXMA Crafting Printers to create the perfect tag for each one.
Tags are usually just printed on one side of cardstock or photo paper. BUT Canon came out with this Double Sided Matte paper and it is incredible! This was my first time using it and the quality was better than the Kardashians complexion!
In order to print on it – I used my PIXMA TS9521C. I put the paper in the back feed and printed the front side first. Then you take the paper out and do the following to print on the back…..
- HOLD paper up so you can see the front
- TURN paper upside down
- FLIP the paper over so the words are on the back
- LOAD the paper into the back feed
I printed these tags larger – it fit four to a page and I varied the name on the tag so I could print one page and send a variety of items to friends.
I cut them out with plain scissors and you can punch a hole if desired.
Aren’t they so cute?!
I used mini clips to attach the tags to the perfect Boo Bags.
So what are the Boo Bags that I created? I wanted to come up with a variety to show simple but effective treats that anyone would love! Here is the printables –
The first one is the Sugar Fiend. A small container filled with Halloween style candy in a plastic bag makes for a festive treat for the whole family.
The second one is for the Basic Witch. I used a Dollar Tree mug and filled it with candy corn and halloween chocolate candies. I think another twist on this one would be to put in some pumpkin spice creamer and a coffee kCup.
Third option is to grab a bag of caramel popcorn and tie a ribbon around it and put on the Munch Monster tag! This would be great for popcorn, cheese balls or any crunchy treat you give your friend.
Last but not least is my favorite….Cereal Killer! This one is a great alternative to the traditional treats. And everyone loves a Halloween themed breakfast, right?! Plus with all the candy that kids are bombarded with….you have to balance it with marshmallows and sugary bats 🙂
So there you have it! Easy Boo Bag tags and a solid two thumbs up review of the Canon Double Sided Matte paper. Hope you all have fun treating your own friends and family. I’d love to see your versions if you use these printables for your own goodies.
