Wahoo! It’s coming guys! Christmas is almost here and I CAN NOT WAIT! I’m already scouring the early release ads for Black Friday and have been making lists like a mad woman. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas. Amazon even has there $5 Magazine Sale on magazines like HGTV, House Beautiful, Real Simple, and even Sports Illustrated for the man in your life.
My love language is gift giving (it is no secret to all of the internet) and I feel SO loved during this season and find it ridiculously fulfilling when I buy the perfect presents for my family and friends! I am basically an elf. It’s true. That is the reason why I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the Blogger Gift Guide 2016.
Let me give you a little back story. The Blogger Gift Guide is the brainchild of the super hotties over at the blog DIY Playbook. I had the privilege of meeting Bridget & Casey many years ago at Haven and have loved following their blog grow into a powerhouse. I kinda think of myself as a big blogging sister watching them from afar….cheering them on and being slightly jealous of their shoe collection 🙂 They are truly the sweetest. This summer I got to give them a little squeeze at Haven (seriously how gorgeous are they?!) and was so thrilled that they asked me if I would participate in their first ever gift guide with a bunch of my other favorite bloggers. Best. Christmas. Ever. I feel like all of the folks that participated have amaaaazing style and are light years ahead on trends and understand their area of expertise to a T.
Allow me to introduce you to these other bloggers.
- Bridget & Casey from The DIY Playbook
- Courtney from A Thoughtful Place
- Emily from Emily A Clark
- Megan from Honey We’re Home
- Jen from IHeart Organizing
- Michael from Inspired By Charm
- Michelle from Iron & Twine
- Mandi from Vintage Revivals
- Kim & Scott from Yellow Brick Home
If you don’t follow them already…I do not understand what you are doing with your time. You are failing at life. Not really but you really should follow them. Trust me.
Each one of these bloggers was asked to contribute a slew of gift ideas for a specific theme. Each theme is an area that the particular blogger is well-versed in. My theme was the MALE POPULATION. Shocker 🙂 I am completely surrounded by males pretty much at all times and for Christmas, I have to buy for twice as many guys as girls. That’s truth. And I am not lying when I say it’s challenging….it is. But nothing is as thrilling as seeing the men in my life unwrap something that they truly love or that makes them smile 🙂 Especially these dudes….
ok….maybe one more of these cuties….because they just make me happy when they match….
So it is with great excitement and a whole lot of high fiving and chest bumping that I am happy to present the kick-off to the Bower Power holiday spirit with the Blogger Gift Guide! Eggnog for everyone!

That was seriously the best gift guide ever! I would want almost everything in the categories I fit into, so it must be pretty accurate! Bravo! I just wish there was more…

Hi Katie! I have two boys 1 and 3 years old. I’d love to hear what toys you think are best for boys at this age. I’m looking for something that they will play with for more than 10 minutes. Thank you!
Sarah says
Hi Katie! Love their matching Jammies! How do you buy something “new” for the littlest guys? I feel like we HAVE every boy toy there is. I don’t want to buy something we don’t need or already have so how do you keep it new and exciting without having toy overload? Thanks!
Katie says
Yes! I am looking forward to doing some really specific gift guides this season!

It’s funny…because I TOTALLY know what you mean. We have actually done a lot more intentional gifting with the boys….really thinking about what will have longevity in our house and let the grandparents give the gifts that are REALLY exciting but often last 24 hours (um remote control anything!). I will be putting together a gift guide for the little ones soon!
