I love creating individualized items and especially items that make others smile.  Personalized wrapping paper for small presents is one way to do that and the smiles and laughs are almost guaranteed 🙂

Today I am sharing two different types of personalized wrapping paper – a face paper and a text paper.  But to be perfectly honest, the options are endless for both.  You don’t have to limit it to a face or a sentiment or a name….you could do this same thing with a favorite love note, someone’s favorite song lyrics, even a picture of a scenery.  The point is – print it out big enough to cover the entire page or copy it enough times to create a pattern.

I’ll share the personalized photo wrap first.  I chose a photo of the recipient….aka Jeremy…

Then in my photo editing software, I cut out just his head.

In Photoshop you can do it by using the selection tool and just selecting the face and hair.  You may have to go around with the brush selector and clean up the edges but in the end, you just want to make sure you don’t get any background or clip off the ears.

Then just create a white background in the size of a regular size sheet of paper.  Copy and paste the face in a smaller pattern.

Then flatten that out and print it out on a regular thin sheet of white paper with your Canon printer.  I used my crafting printer that is the PIXMA TS9521C.  This is a really great printer for any family because it can do ALL the things.

I created several different sheets so that I could wrap valentines day gifts up for the boys.

Also it is really cute to pop the head on a colored background too!  Don’t print on colored paper – just use your printer to print the background color so your face color isn’t weird.  Also for long hair, try to choose a photo that is clearly a pony tail or bun as the long hair coming down with no neck looks weird 🙂

For the text wrapping paper the process is super simple.  Just type out the sentiment or words or name over and over and then print it out as a borderless letter print.

After that you just wrap your small boxes and you are good to go!  I found that jewelry boxes and anything under 4″x4″ worked best for a single sheet of paper.

Your personalized gift is sure to make that person smile and the concept is almost too simple! It works especially great with kids as they LOVE seeing their name in print.
