I have so SO many photos and info to share about our recent trip to Jekyll Island and one of the most frequently asked things is “where did you get that_____?” so I figured I’d get that out of the way first and then I can just link back to this post on all the future Jekyll posts 🙂
First – I want to tell you that I think we went to the small coastal Georgia island during one of the hottest weeks of the year. There was absolutely no rain either and so my outfit choices were determined by one factor – sweat. It had to allow me to breathe and remain as drip free as possible while still being cute.

This dress was a last minute Amazon find and I am so glad I threw it in the bag. I paired it with my suede espadrille shoes that are insanely comfortable.

One of the days we did a trolley tour of the islands historic cottages – so my second most dressy outfit was this kimono outfit. I love wearing kimonos for the beach because they pull double duty – both as outfit worthy and beach coverups!

Speaking of kimonos – another similar option is flowy dresses that untie or unbutton like this one also from Amazon. This dress is a great coverup and I threw it on over the one-shoulder bathing suit that I LOVE.

I wore the bathing suit on two days – both to the beach and it was perfect to dress up as a top and to wear just solo. I paired it with some stretchy shorts I got last year (they are my favorite stretch dress shorts! No zipper or button so extremely comfortable!) and this beach bag and it looked perfectly suited for playing put put before heading to the beach.
The suit is actually such a pleasant surprise. I tried on probably close to thirty suits in preparation for this trip and this one was my absolute favorite. It is very well made and a great price and the fit of it was so forgiving. The ruched waist is flattering if you have a mom-tummy (like me!) and the shoulder can be pulled down if you are avoiding tan lines. I like the fuller-coverage bottom (I just can’t jump on that cheeky trend just yet!) and the lightly padded top.
Yes I have the best photo bombers 🙂

Speaking of suits – I only brought two this trip. The off-the-shoulder one and a black skirted one that I love when I know I’m gonna be doing alllll the bending. I threw a tank on over it and paired it with shorts on the way to the water park. I just wanted to show you that you can tuck it in!
One of the days we were running all over doing activities and I just wanted something lightweight and casual…..and you know I can’t live without these shorts. I paired them with an open-shoulder top that I recently got. It’s like a plain tee but with personality. A girl next door that actually can carry a conversation 🙂

My hat was a gift from our friends at Jekyll Island – I am OBSESSED. Jeremy makes fun of me because I have an obsession with hats and yet so few fit my giant head 🙂 It’s fine. It’s fine.
top – shorts – tote – sandals – sunnies – earrings
You guys have seen this top before and I still love it and highly recommend it. I think there are few still in stock so I would get on that if I were you!
Also I snagged this top off the hanger to bring and it was perfect for the hot humid weather! I carried this tote just about everywhere over the week and it was perfect size and the fact that it had a couple outer pockets and then also inner ones was amazing. Also – I can never go back to a tote without a zipper….it’s a lifesaver for me. I constantly spill my bags all over the place 🙁
I also packed a couple other items to wear but didn’t end up using them! I always pack more than I need because I never know exactly what I will feel like wearing. I popped them on so you can see what they were….

Hope you guys find something you love for this summer!
