Obsessed.Β I am so obsessed with these babbles.Β Old Navy is bringin’ the heat.Β Oh la la.
These white babbles are awesomesauce…I’ll take three of each please.
Β
Not generally a gold person – but with these, I can be Cleopatra πΒ Kiss my asp, silver.
Β Β
Amazing…girly….feminine….cute….I’ll take them please.
Β
Someone hand me a first aid kit – cause these headbands kill me.
Β
Black & white….the oreo cookie of jewelry.Β Yum.
Β Β
The best part of these babbles was that 90% of them were under $9.Β Most were $7.
Oh and ignore the snagglenails….gross.Β they need cut.Β put that on the DIY list.
Β Β
I have a hard time finding blue jewelry…but these are oh-so cute.Β Count me and my debit cardΒ in.
Β Β
Okay – so I know it’s a crazy post.Β But I did buy one thing.Β Wanna guess which one?
And Jeremy – please note that anything on this list would not be returned…ever…or regifted…just saying.
Elizabeth says
I’m sorry for this comment, but I just had to! It’s “baubles” not babbles = “babbling on and on”
Katie says
haha…another spelling mishap strikes again.

Sara says
I hope it’s the red flower earrings! I might have to go get those
holly says
the black circle ring just looks perfect on your hand, so i’m hoping it’s that one. my second guess is the flower headband. i’m right, aren’t i?
Jessica G says
i’m really hoping it’s some of the blue jewelry because you said “this is blue” and i went OH MY GOSH I CAN NEVER FIND THAT…so i’m pumped to go to Old Navy! it’s been forever…and cute earrings or a flower ring would make my holiday season more sparkly. thanks for the heads-up!
Lori says
My guess is the multi-gold necklaces with flower…. But that’s just a guess. π
All are good choices. Thanks for the Old Navy tip!
π Lori
Ammie says
I hope it’s the 2nd ring you posted the picture of. Your hand looks like that of a hand model in that shot! How long are you going to leave us in suspense??
Also, thank you for the tip – i’m sending the link to my husband now π
Beth says
My vote is for the red earrings…to go with the red dress you picked up for your Christmas picture!
Tamara says
I vote the black and white Oreoesque bracelet. It looks fun and would provide some entertainment for Will. Love all your picks (and pics)!
Bree says
lol, I was just going to say the same thing. I was like babbles is the language of babies! When I saw the title I thought it was about cute things Will was saying, lol.
liz @ btb says
Cuuuuu-uuuu-uuute, I need to make a pit stop at old Navy soon. Stuff like this doesn’t last long where I live.
Meagan Snow says
This is a fun post. I think you whipped out the debit card for those blue earrings. And its a double pack…twice as many earrings for probably the same price. Totally a steal.
Lori H says
OK, so my comment is lagging behind…BAUBLES. I have noticed that you spell BACON perfectly! π
Sarah says
Hi there. So I was on MSN today and they had a shopping guide, I clicked on it and saw this and immediately thought of you.
Happy Wish List Making π

Regan R @ RenovatingRothenbergers says
I’m voting for the gold/amber-colored dangly earrings. They’re all gorgeous though!
Melissa Evans says
I’m gonna say that you chose the blue earrings.
the red earrings just about killed me. I have the similar ones…only their tiny…..I hope Old Navy in Canada is stocking the same amazing assortment of jewellery.
Move over Forever 21…..
(I can’t spell jewellery to-save-my-life. True story).
April says
Yup, came here to say this. I ignored it on the closet post, but it’s hard to ignore it in a whole post dedicated to baubles. π
Wendy says
I’m voting for blue earrings, too….. but I am IN LOVE with that first ring that you showed. Darnit, I just passed up Old Navy tonight.. will have to head out tomorrow.
Wendy says
Ooops, make that the first gold ring that you showed…. the one with the swirly circle.
Lynn says
kiss my asp….hahahaha!!!! Laughed out loud at work. Not good π
Christi says
Yes, yes, yes…our ON recently added jewelry( we’re kind of a small city) I’ve bought several things and both times I had my husband guess how much they cost, haha.
And I didn’t even notice the babbles/ baubles thing… I initially thought it said Babbling about Babbies.
My guess is the Oreo ring!
Jill says
Why do I read other comments? Gah, people are rude.
ANYWAY, someone commented above me “move over Forever 21”, and my whole reason for commenting was to tell you that if you like this old navy stuff, you should absolutely go to forever21.com and look at all their jewelry! It’s incredibly cute and unique, and most of it is HALF of what old navy is charging.
Laura says
Can I just say, that the whole post, I was wondering how in the world you have such long/nice nails??? (Especially for a DIYer) Then half way through, you said they were “gross.” I really wish my nails could look that “gross”.
Trina says
Oh boy!! Had no idea Old Navy was selling jewelry now (which was probably a good thing!). I see a trip to ON in my very near future…maybe a little Merry Christmas to me!! LOL Thanks for sharing!
Kathy says
I love that you did this post. Thanks Katie.
You da best blogger.
I am the one who asked you to tell us about your jewelry purchases at Old Navy.
Or one of many who asked.
Anyway, I guess the the cute link ring by the gold necklace that I love, too. Or it could be one the headbands.
Thanks for sharing.
Heidi Seawell says
I’m guessing the giant navy ring w/ turquoise flower in the middle? It’s gawgeous! π
Holly@loveoflifeblog says
I heart Old Navy. It’s always shocking how sassy some of their clothes are! And for cheap!
Laura K says
What?? My Old Navy doesn’t have jewelery!! Jealous… π
Emma says
I have never been much of a gold-girl either, but that gold blossomy-chain is delightful! Did you get pick that bad boy up, or was it one of those blue-hues?? They’re all great picks!
My husband and I are limiting ourselves to inexpensive gifts this year, so something like this is perfect!
Shana says
You should tell all the people who are concerned with you saying “babbles” instead of “baubles” to kiss your asp! She can call it what she wants!! Geez.
Kristin says
Hmmm… I’m obsessed with being right, so it’s dangerous for me to guess. What if I’m WRONG!? (gasp!) I’m trying to decide even which KIND of item you’d be most likely to buy. Rings? Necklaces? Drat…. I’m a ring girl myself, so I’m going with the navy blue stone ring. It looks fantastic on you. My second choice (which is totally cheating, I know!) is the gold necklace.
Clare says
I think you bought one of the headbands!
Laura says
I agree! Some of the comments made me mad for Katie! I didn’t even notice the mistake, and if I had, I definitely wouldn’t be pointing it out. I guess some people need to make themselves feel better by pointing out other people’s flaws.
I think katie is the best, definitely one of the cool kids on the blog… (what? lol) Keep up the funny posts and ignore the haters. π
Marta says
I think someone else mentioned this, but you should totally hit up Forever21. I just discovered this today, and spent 30 well-deserved bucks on about 5 pieces of jewelry. That’s a steal in my book! But now I need to go over to Old Navy and check out their goods. Thanks for sharing!
Emily Drake says
I’m gonna go with the polka dot headband. But the real question is…how many funny looks did you get while you stood there and took pictures of your hands and all that jewelry? π
Kristen @ Popcorn on the Stove says
I’m going to guess a headband – maybe that pink one with the bow…. but you could’ve gone and gotten one of those blue rings! Old Navy has such fun jewelry. I tend to get stuck in that section when I’m on my way to buy clothes.
Judy says
I never really comment on blogs but this made me really mad too! I’m glad I’m not the only one it bothered! Someone obviously thinks they’re better than everyone else. If you really only come to the page to comment on a spelling mistake, you’re just being a bully!
Kasey M. says
You’re not alone Lynn, I did the same thing! So much for discrete blog reading in the morning…
Kasey M. says
I’m guessing the shiny white ring (second row, right side). And if you like headbands you should check out Gussy Sews…Gussy is a 25 year old blogging/sewing rockstar that I completely wish was my BFF. I typically bounce over to her blog after reading yours and Sherry’s in the AM.
Here are her headbands if your looking for something uber cute http://www.shopgussy.com/category/headbands.
Kelly says
What’s wrong with pointing out a mistake? Isn’t that how we all learn? It’s not “rude” or “mean” if done in a constructive, non-judgemental way, and may save the person from future embarrassment/corrections. Do you also ignore your friend when they have spinach in their teeth? That seems far more cruel.
I don’t think Katie is so sensitive that a spelling correction is going to completely destroy her fragile ego. That’s what I like about her.
abby says
I’m guessing the second ring…the white one you show on your right hand. Mainly since it looks like it’s hanging out on your left pinkie the entire rest of the photo shoot.
Am I creepy for noticing? Maybe. But it’s only because I’m now OBSESSED with your wedding ring and tried to get another glimpse of it. Good job Jeremy!! π
Nessa @ CasaBraaflat says
i am totally a gold girl so i am going to vote for the gold necklace with the flower on it or the very first white ring. both amazing!
Happy Thanksgiving girlfriend!
Sara says
Love the black and white flower cluster ring! They closed my Old Navy π Well there is another one nearby but not close enough to just run over to quickly anymore, such sadness.
Mariya says
I didn’t believe you when you said ON had cute jewelery in store. Now I have to go look!
Kara says
Seriously.. when did Old Navy start selling adorable, mostly inexpensive jewelry?? I saw it all once a few months ago and forced myself to not splurge on, um.. everything. But now that you’re showing all of it to me again… man.
Courtney says
That was my guess too, for exactly the same reason! Plus, it looks awesome on your hand Katie!
Sarah says
I’ll guess it’s the first big white oval ring. Mainly because I have a mother-or-pearl one just like it, but a touch smaller.
Jennelle says
I don’t care how you spelled it. I wonts me somma those!!!!
Emily says
Completely Agree! I don’t think anyone was rude. No one was malicious in their comments.
Lorilyn says
Looks like I’ll be hitting up the Old Navy this weekend!
I’m not sure what it is, but even when I specifically make a list of items I would like for holidays or birthdays, and tell my husband to pick one so it’s still kind of a suprise, he still buys me nothing on my list. I just don’t get it, I really don’t.
Melissa says
Have you ever been to Forever 21? You would be in love if you haven’t been before! They have tons of jewelry & baubles! They are SUPER cheap too! They have a lot of earrings that are $1.50— regular price! I also love it because on the bottom of their shopping bags it says “John 3:16” The store is GORGEOUS too! haha Love it! =)
Diana @ Boy + Girl Design says
I love that blue and white flower ring. Super. Cute.
And those red earring. Fun.
candace says
My guess is the shiny white one (second one you show)! I’m in love with the black and white bracelet – it’s funky. Love it all though – I may have to make a trip to ON!
Traci @yellowWISHBONE says
a) i love that pink bow headband! so sweet and romantic!
b) have you been to Hurs in atlanta yet? it’s wholesale (kind of like the Mart) but open to the public! sometimes it’s hit or miss but the prices are fantastic! check it out! http://hursmart.com/store/ (they have a physical store too)
KIM says
Hey Katie,
I saw these bacon socks in thinkgeek.com and thought of you π

Anne says
I agree as well! Why is making a spelling error not a big deal, but someone else casually (and politely) mentioning that error is considered rude?
If you put stuff out on the internet for public viewing, you can expect it to be a little bit scrutinized.
Brooke says
I also completely agree! A spelling error is NOT the end of the world! And it is NOT rude to point one out. Like Kelly said, I think Katie is strong enough to handle a simple spelling error! π
Nicole says
Love the last line – hope he catches on to the (not-so) subtle hints π
Samantha says
I bet you got a headband. I hope you get a lot more of those items under the Christmas tree! So fun!
Lauren says
Wow, they do have a way better jewelry selection in the store than online.
Rachel says
I love the Old Navy jewelry! So much so, I ran to our ON this morning, but I was greatly disappointed. No jewelry!! So disappointed, I love the red earrings and the gold chain with the flower.
Pamela Bates/Mercantile Muse says
Well Katie, I’m going with the last blue ring. And if you didn’t get it, then Jeremy should definitely head over and pick that up for your stocking!
heather says
When I was 13 my Grams and I were looking at her stuff and I pronounced it “Jew-ler-ree” and she said, “Sweetheart. It’s ‘Jewel-ry'”. It’s the easiest way for me to remember how to spell it now!
caprice says
I really miss your fall/winter waredrobe wishlist. I really enjoyed when you pick your favorites for the seasons. However this post has a lot of nice options!
Katie says
Boo!
I asked Jer why this is – he said there are different ‘tiers’ of stores…some larger and some smaller – and ours must be the second largest kind of store…thus jewelry π

Georgia says
I love this post!!!! i wish we had an old navy in the UK their jewellery is so nice! π
SingleMama says
Love that big blue ring with the flower in the middle, super cute!!
Melissa Evans says
that’s awesome….I just said it under my breath 4 times…I saw it βJew-ler-reeβ lol….oh man…funny how any other way (spelling or saying it) it doesn’t sound/look right.
Sigh. π
sara says
kbower –
i love that you didn’t correct the spelling in the post. π
Emma says
Or…maybe you got the ring that’s seendangling on your pinky finger in more than one photo…hmmm
Sara says
Boy is that some cute jewelry. I just wanted to add I don’t think it is rude to point out that baubles are jewelry and gems, not a baby or an annoying acquaintance. As a writer, I think it is a fair analogy. A mitre saw and a jig saw do two very different things and they are not interchangable in building directions. Bauble and babble too aren’t interchangable. Same thing. That is not rude to Katie. I think she’d like to know the distinction
Pip says
Agree! π
Serena says
Okay, I’m going to guess you got one of those headbands….to go with your new haircut?
(Which I accidentally typed the first time as “our new haircut”. Simple mistake or over involved reader creepy Freudian slip? Ha ha).
Katie says
haha…I haven’t gotten it chopped yet. I’m scccaaareed π I did however buy the groupon for a cut and highlights (that’ll be a first) so I’m totally committed!

alg says
Do you ever feel totally weird & conspicuous when you take a bunch of pics while shopping? I totally do. And telling people they’re for your blog DOESN’T help.
Oh, and I’d have kept the big blue ring. But I’m gonna guess you kept the big round black one.
Katie says
Haha….actually this time I took them with my iphone so it was WAY less conspicuous.
xo – kb
Kay says
It’s not rude to politely point out a spelling mistake, calm down.
Linda @ it all started with paint says
Not sure which ones you took home, but I’ll be running out to Old Navy to get the white dangling flower earrings in the fourth picture! They speak to the Jersey in me …
Whit says
So much pretty stuff. They got rid of the jewelry at my Old Navy. π
Sara says
Totally died over the Old Navy jewelry section last week. Was on a mission to find a dress for a wedding, and scored with a major sale on their satin dresses. I actually picked up the blue necklace you had in the last picture, but was trying to be a responsible shopper, and wanted to try things I already at home. Of course after that, nothing was quite right, and stopped by a different Old Navy that was closer to my house, and NO jewelry. Needless to say, I was a little peeved. But still desiring at least 5-10 items from the store.
Gwyn G says
Look, a Groupon just for you!
http://www.groupon.com/r/uu694363
Pay $10 for $20 worth of Old Navy goodies! It’s listed in the column to the right on the Cincinnati Groupon web page.
From Sratch says
I totally spent half an hour there trying on ll the rings and such. Totally cute! I couldn’t find the exact ring I wanted, but never fear- I left with a headband that I’m loving. Happy shopping!
Hannah Richman says
I’ve obsessively gone to two old navy’s already, and neither has jewelry! So sad!
Charlotte says
Great pieces! Love the navy blue medallion ring, gorgeous with a pair of jeans and white T-shirt. I found my bubbles necklace on a GREAT Clearance deal. Check them out here –

Tammy says
agree totally
Margo Morgan says
i too am glad you didn’t correct it. it sort of made me a little crazy at first, but i love your blog and your personality. you are beautiful katie and should be proud of yourself and happy with you.
Katie says
Did I miss you actually revealing which one you took home? I am so curious!!
Katie says
Nope – I haven’t spilled the beans yet – although here is a clue – several people have already guessed correctly π
