Obsessed.  I am so obsessed with these babbles.  Old Navy is bringin’ the heat.  Oh la la.

These white babbles are awesomesauce…I’ll take three of each please.

 

Not generally a gold person – but with these, I can be Cleopatra 🙂  Kiss my asp, silver.

  

Amazing…girly….feminine….cute….I’ll take them please.

 

Someone hand me a first aid kit – cause these headbands kill me.

 

Black & white….the oreo cookie of jewelry.  Yum.

  

The best part of these babbles was that 90% of them were under $9.  Most were $7.

Oh and ignore the snagglenails….gross.  they need cut.  put that on the DIY list.

  

I have a hard time finding blue jewelry…but these are oh-so cute.  Count me and my debit card in.

  

Okay – so I know it’s a crazy post.  But I did buy one thing.  Wanna guess which one?

  5. i’m really hoping it’s some of the blue jewelry because you said “this is blue” and i went OH MY GOSH I CAN NEVER FIND THAT…so i’m pumped to go to Old Navy! it’s been forever…and cute earrings or a flower ring would make my holiday season more sparkly. thanks for the heads-up!

    the red earrings just about killed me. I have the similar ones…only their tiny…..I hope Old Navy in Canada is stocking the same amazing assortment of jewellery.

  21. Yes, yes, yes…our ON recently added jewelry( we’re kind of a small city) I’ve bought several things and both times I had my husband guess how much they cost, haha.
    And I didn’t even notice the babbles/ baubles thing… I initially thought it said Babbling about Babbies.
    My guess is the Oreo ring!

    ANYWAY, someone commented above me “move over Forever 21”, and my whole reason for commenting was to tell you that if you like this old navy stuff, you should absolutely go to forever21.com and look at all their jewelry! It’s incredibly cute and unique, and most of it is HALF of what old navy is charging.

  23. Can I just say, that the whole post, I was wondering how in the world you have such long/nice nails??? (Especially for a DIYer) Then half way through, you said they were “gross.” I really wish my nails could look that “gross”.

  29. I have never been much of a gold-girl either, but that gold blossomy-chain is delightful! Did you get pick that bad boy up, or was it one of those blue-hues?? They’re all great picks!
    My husband and I are limiting ourselves to inexpensive gifts this year, so something like this is perfect!

  31. Hmmm… I’m obsessed with being right, so it’s dangerous for me to guess. What if I’m WRONG!? (gasp!) I’m trying to decide even which KIND of item you’d be most likely to buy. Rings? Necklaces? Drat…. I’m a ring girl myself, so I’m going with the navy blue stone ring. It looks fantastic on you. My second choice (which is totally cheating, I know!) is the gold necklace.

  33. I agree! Some of the comments made me mad for Katie! I didn’t even notice the mistake, and if I had, I definitely wouldn’t be pointing it out. I guess some people need to make themselves feel better by pointing out other people’s flaws.

    I think katie is the best, definitely one of the cool kids on the blog… (what? lol) Keep up the funny posts and ignore the haters. 🙂

  34. I think someone else mentioned this, but you should totally hit up Forever21. I just discovered this today, and spent 30 well-deserved bucks on about 5 pieces of jewelry. That’s a steal in my book! But now I need to go over to Old Navy and check out their goods. Thanks for sharing!

  36. I’m going to guess a headband – maybe that pink one with the bow…. but you could’ve gone and gotten one of those blue rings! Old Navy has such fun jewelry. I tend to get stuck in that section when I’m on my way to buy clothes.

  37. I never really comment on blogs but this made me really mad too! I’m glad I’m not the only one it bothered! Someone obviously thinks they’re better than everyone else. If you really only come to the page to comment on a spelling mistake, you’re just being a bully!

  40. What’s wrong with pointing out a mistake? Isn’t that how we all learn? It’s not “rude” or “mean” if done in a constructive, non-judgemental way, and may save the person from future embarrassment/corrections. Do you also ignore your friend when they have spinach in their teeth? That seems far more cruel.
    I don’t think Katie is so sensitive that a spelling correction is going to completely destroy her fragile ego. That’s what I like about her.

  41. I’m guessing the second ring…the white one you show on your right hand. Mainly since it looks like it’s hanging out on your left pinkie the entire rest of the photo shoot.

    Am I creepy for noticing? Maybe. But it’s only because I’m now OBSESSED with your wedding ring and tried to get another glimpse of it. Good job Jeremy!! 🙂

  43. Love the black and white flower cluster ring! They closed my Old Navy 🙁 Well there is another one nearby but not close enough to just run over to quickly anymore, such sadness.

  45. Seriously.. when did Old Navy start selling adorable, mostly inexpensive jewelry?? I saw it all once a few months ago and forced myself to not splurge on, um.. everything. But now that you’re showing all of it to me again… man.

    I’m not sure what it is, but even when I specifically make a list of items I would like for holidays or birthdays, and tell my husband to pick one so it’s still kind of a suprise, he still buys me nothing on my list. I just don’t get it, I really don’t.

  51. Have you ever been to Forever 21? You would be in love if you haven’t been before! They have tons of jewelry & baubles! They are SUPER cheap too! They have a lot of earrings that are $1.50— regular price! I also love it because on the bottom of their shopping bags it says “John 3:16” The store is GORGEOUS too! haha Love it! =)

  56. I agree as well! Why is making a spelling error not a big deal, but someone else casually (and politely) mentioning that error is considered rude?
    If you put stuff out on the internet for public viewing, you can expect it to be a little bit scrutinized.

  57. I also completely agree! A spelling error is NOT the end of the world! And it is NOT rude to point one out. Like Kelly said, I think Katie is strong enough to handle a simple spelling error! 🙂

  61. I love the Old Navy jewelry! So much so, I ran to our ON this morning, but I was greatly disappointed. No jewelry!! So disappointed, I love the red earrings and the gold chain with the flower.

  63. When I was 13 my Grams and I were looking at her stuff and I pronounced it “Jew-ler-ree” and she said, “Sweetheart. It’s ‘Jewel-ry'”. It’s the easiest way for me to remember how to spell it now!

  71. Boy is that some cute jewelry. I just wanted to add I don’t think it is rude to point out that baubles are jewelry and gems, not a baby or an annoying acquaintance. As a writer, I think it is a fair analogy. A mitre saw and a jig saw do two very different things and they are not interchangable in building directions. Bauble and babble too aren’t interchangable. Same thing. That is not rude to Katie. I think she’d like to know the distinction

  75. Do you ever feel totally weird & conspicuous when you take a bunch of pics while shopping? I totally do. And telling people they’re for your blog DOESN’T help.
    Oh, and I’d have kept the big blue ring. But I’m gonna guess you kept the big round black one.

  80. Totally died over the Old Navy jewelry section last week. Was on a mission to find a dress for a wedding, and scored with a major sale on their satin dresses. I actually picked up the blue necklace you had in the last picture, but was trying to be a responsible shopper, and wanted to try things I already at home. Of course after that, nothing was quite right, and stopped by a different Old Navy that was closer to my house, and NO jewelry. Needless to say, I was a little peeved. But still desiring at least 5-10 items from the store.

  82. I totally spent half an hour there trying on ll the rings and such. Totally cute! I couldn’t find the exact ring I wanted, but never fear- I left with a headband that I’m loving. Happy shopping!
