You guys constantly ask where I get inspiration. It’s from other blogs. and sites. and etsy. and magazines. and you.
And so now, for a little autumn craft link sharage:
- these paper lanterns are so easy and so cute
- cool felt wreath you can make to fit any color scheme
- simple fall garland
- pinecone cardinal? yes please.
- pinecone owl? ok.
- pinecone finial? yup.
- felt napkin rings & place cards
- sweater turned baby pants are so thrifty
- turkey place card has a fun twist
- might make this faux turkey for Mr. Tinkler
- cute way to spice up a pie box
- gonna have to figure out how to make this hat
- a turkey breakfast (sub bacon for bananas!)
- darling woodsy mobile
- a stick tree I swear you could make at home
Got a different suggestion? Maybe a craft you saw on etsy or a blog that you can’t wait to try out? Heat my glue gun and put er right there in the comments. I love me a new craft link 🙂

Is it just me or does it seem like you could make some trees that look like the west elm ones just by cutting increasingly sized circles out of some corrugated cardboard and gluing them together?

Thanks for sharing, Katie! I too am finding myself in the holiday craft making mood — I love all of these ideas!

Great Idea Mary. Totally crafty and it probably would look really similar 🙂

I love the inspiration, Katie! The pinecone cardinal is so cute. I saw a similar ornament for sale somewhere, C&B maybe? I made some cute little turkey place cards for Thanksgiving. Super simple and cheap!

I totally go idea shopping on etsy and blogs. There is a craft christmas craft fair coming up in December I want to participate in so I was in a blog and etsy sleepless night frenzy yesterday coming up with ideas. There were my two favorite phrases I found on pillows that I want to put on a wooden sign.
Dear Santa, Define Good.
By Golly Be Jolly.
Additionally, I thought of a great christmas card display holder, get a 1 x 2 piece of wood, cut to desired size, paint, then hot glue on paper-decorated clothes pins and display with vertically or horizontally with ribbon. Super cheap and super cute.

I have to brag about my sister — she’s doing an incredibly fun craft with her kids. She made a “tree” on their wall, and it changes with the seasons (bonus: it teaches her kids about the seasons, which is particularly helpful for her since she lives in Taiwan where seasons are nonexistent)
Check her tree’s transformation on her blog: http://www.fareaststreet.com/tag/our-tree/
This one’s my favorite — I love my niece’s face as she unfolds the butterfly from its cocoon: http://www.fareaststreet.com/2010/06/butterflies-emerge/
