August Giveaway – Quality Bath

GIVEAWAY

I’m squishing all the giveaways into one giant day (or a week if I feel lazy) of glittering awesomeness. Are you ready for this jelly? This yummy jam is all for you….one day with many many freebies – so check back often to heavy breathe and eye fondle these goodies. I’m dubbing it the Giveaway Power Day…like the dance – it’s electric!

Quality Bath is a premier provider of luxury kitchen and bath products…and one of our fine sponsors….but in general, just a drool inducing website.  My keyboard wishes I was kidding.

They sell high end faucets, tubs, sinks, vanities and everything else you can possibly imagine or need for your kitchen or bath.  My philosophy is that every bathroom and kitchen needs a mix of nicer stuff with your salvaged/thrifted/secondhand/cheap stuff to make it work well within the confines of a budget and aesthetic plan.  So let’s say you are redoing your kitchen…if I were spending your money on one thing – it would be to splurge for a beautiful bridge faucets.  Meow!

    The one quality that makes me smile is my sense of humor. I teach 5th grade and I have the sense of humor of a 5th grade boy. Sometimes I laugh right out loud about some goofy joke or thought in my head. (Drives my husband nuts.)

    Hmmm, I guess it’s my front teeth that ever so slightly overlap. It’s not noticeable from afar, otherwise it would not make me smile! Used to hate it, but now I’ve made peace with it.. 🙂 My favorite aunt and one of my cousins also have this “quality,” so I think it’s kinda cool that it runs in the family.

  3. I heart Quality! And I kinda adore my chicken pox scars – they make for a good story 🙂 This would be awesome right now – we’re getting ready to build a new home and are in the process of picking out and starting to purchase fixtures, lighting and other misc odds and ends!

    I have to smile about my laugh… I laugh all the time. And I smile. Most people comment on how happy I seem all the time, even if I may not really be in the best mood. It’s infectuious!! 🙂

    My best quality is the ability to slow down and watch my babies grow. Right now, I talked myself into delaying a workout to watch my 10 month old sleep.

  13. “I heart quality.” I love my mummy tummy; it’s where my boys grew, and although it looks a little, um, rough, I think it’s lovely.

  14. My home needs a manager! If I had to grab things… if my family and pets were out… photos would be number 1 of course, then I’d grab the few things I was given that belonged to my brother (who passed away last year), 3 – a few select pieces of jewelry that were my mom’s and grandmother’s, 4 – maybe an old table that has some family history (a great uncle made it from wood off the family farm), 5 – ???

    My friend and I recently had the conversation of “what would you take if you had to evacuate” after all the fires in Colorado and now the hurricane in the Gulf. It allows for a little bit more planning and you can take a few more things… but it’s still amazing and what I’d leave behind that I deem valuable in normal every day life.

    My toenails are very easy to paint. Seriously. I compliment myself every time I don’t have to get a pedicure.

  18. I heart quality :). One quality about myself that makes me smile is that I have very pale skin with a lot of freckles. I used to hate it, but over the years I’ve learned to embrace it. I’ve got super soft skin (which is worth the pale-ness, I guess) and with my dark hair I get to have a snow white “look”. And I’ve been told by many people that I’m one of the few people they think looks good with freckles. So I’ve learned to embrace it. It makes me unique, and it males me, me.

    This is weird, but my toes next to my big toe are a little crooked (like they veer away from the big toe). That’s unremarkable in itself, but what’s interesting is that my dad’s toes are the EXACT same way. Kinda weird, kinda neat.

    and I heart my middle name, Loveda. It’s a wierd one, but I grew into it as I got older and now I love it!

    My favorite quality about myself is the bump on my nose. One time I MADE my husband pick something about me physically that he didn’t like. What? everyone doesn’t do that? strange 😉 Anyhow, he picked the bump on my nose but swears there isn’t one there. Now I see it and it makes me giggle.

    I like the freckles on my arms. They remind me of all the fun summers spent at the pool as a kid!

    I’m strangely obsessive over the quality of my nails. I constantly file and whatnot to keep them nice/not chipped.

  48. I heart quality. One of my most unique qualities or talents is the fact that I can lick my elbow. I love hearing people say, “It’s impossible to be able to lick your elbow” and then proving them wrong!

  50. I heart Quality! I have a single chicken pox (poc?) scar on my stomach from when I was 5. I remember I blamed ‘scratching’ that open with my towel as I was drying off after a bath (probably with oatmeal in it). Thank goodness our children shouldn’t have to deal with that!!!

    My favorite quality about myself is my dimples – my grampy used to tell me that the dimples were where the angels kissed me before I was born – he is so sweet.

    I am fond of my natural “madonna-esque” mole on my face. I get an even bigger kick out of it now, since my daughter likes to touch it and giggles when I say the word mole. haha

    Hmmmm….I’m stumped on this. Maybe I need to get better at laughing at myself. My weird hair that seems to curl under so nicely on one said and flip out on the other? That makes me shake my head and smile some days. 🙂 (Other days it makes me mutter and get annoyed!)

    I have two toes on my left foot that some would call “webbed.” My brother used to tell me he was going to tear them apart (God bless little boys!). Interestingly, my mom has the same thing on the same two toes which makes me feel a lot less weird about it.

    My feet make me smile. I have a huge space between big toe and the one next to it.. it allows me to rarely have to bend over to pick things up as I can use my toes to grab pretty much anything. 🙂

    I have a beauty mark on the side of my stomach that every woman on my mom’s side of my family has. I love that we all have this weird little thing that ties us all together.

    My most “me” quality is my nose… Sort of a Roman nose with the bump at the top. I hated it as a teenager, but now I see how silly my face would look with a smaller, more dainty nose.

  167. I heart Quality. I have a love/hate relantionship with my hair, it is unruly, and curly when I want it to be straight and straight when i want it to be curly. I am constantly changing the color and length. But the reason that I really love it is because my little guys have been hair twirlers since they were little and there is nothing better then a sweet little (although at 7 and 5 they aren’t so little anymore) sitting in my lap at night twirling a piece of my hair…heaven!!!!

    My quality has to be my cheeks (the ones on my face, that is). They’ve always been puffy and squishy, and now I can see my daughter has inherited the same feature!

  194. I heart quality! I have normal sized hands and feet, but very small fingernails and toenails. I prefer to call them ‘dainty’, rather than ‘freakishly small’. In fact, I pretty much do not have any pinky toenails. Just a little chip of a nail that you can’t get polish on. Ok- that may be ‘freakish’ instead of ‘dainty’.

  198. I heart Quality!! I’d have to say my #1 is my hair…I thank God daily I was blessed with easy hair, as I am about as likely to know what to do with it if it wasn’t curly/wavy and thick as I would if someone handed me a pair of stilettos! :] No bueno.

    I have ridiculously small feet, which for some reason people think looks cute. Finding shoes is difficult (although little kid shoes are getting more adult appropriate, i.e. small heels, less glitter), but it’s always exciting when I do!

    I’m 6’ft tall and proud of it!!! I was always super tall growing up (that ONE lone girl in the back of class pictures) but I couldnt be more proud of it today!

    I like that I do all the dance moves to New Kids On The Block’s Step by Step in the kitchen with my kids… and can keep an absolutely straight face the entire time. I’m serious. It’s just a lot of self-control going on there. (because I dance like a total dork, and make weird faces)

    I have a ridiculous good memory for names (not always the faces that go along). It sort of seems weird sometimes so I won’t always admit for example when I remember my boyfriend’s boss’s neighbors’ names that I met a year ago.

    My amusing characteristic is my monkey toes. They are soooo long. And the second toes are longer than the first toes. I used to be pretty embarrassed about my weird finger toes, but I’m over it now. They are just goofy to me now.

    Mine would probably have to be a birth mark on my left hand. It is the only way I learned my left from my right growing up lol. I thought everyone had a mark there to show them which is which.

    I have a white spot on my collar bone – a quarter sized part of skin that doesn’t have any pigment. I actually like it and spend most of the summer with a giant glob of sunscreen on it so it doesn’t burn. But I’ll admit, it’s not nearly as cool as a Spock ear… 😉

    I like my hair! It’s long and straight, but when I either use the curling iron or the straightner, it looks so healthy, shiny, like waiting for a commercial to come and scoop me up! 🙂 It’s dark brown but in the sun, you can see natural highlights, I love it!

My mom had it as an identifying mark on those child ID cards so it’s something that I’ve always been aware of and felt that it was one of things that made me uniquely me (because no one else has pinky freckles, right?). Last year it temporarily disappeared and I was more sad than one should be about a freckle. It came back this year and when I look at it it makes me smile.

    As a child, I hated my red hair and fair skin. Now that I am older, I realize how rare it really is and I love it. It is definitely different, and not always beautiful at the beach, but I am learning to embrace it and love it.

    Mine would have to be that one of my legs is a teeny bit shorter than the other which craks my husband up! You can’t tell just by looking at me, but when I was in high school my trainer for soccer measured them when I was having back pain and lo and behold they were two different lengths!

    And my favorite feature has to be the one dimple I get when I smile. I always used to HATE that I only had this one awkward dimple, but then my daughter was born and she has the same thing. I absolutely love seeing it on her face and I love that it was that one little genetic piece that I can see so clearly in her.

  406. I heart quality…… I have numerous white spots all over my body. Lack of pigmentation. All over both my hands, fingers, elbows, arms, toes and rib cage. Didn’t develop until I was in highschool. Use to be really insecure about them. Now as a 25 year old they dont bother me as much. I am also growing to love my scars. I have a keloiding problem. I have 3 spots where it has over produced scar tissue and are raised. My family doesnt call me the medical baby for nothing!!!

    I love my hair color…it’s now more light brown than dirty blonde since it’s darkened over the years, but I’ve always had amazing natural highlights and hair that’s envied among family and friends! I got highlights once in grad school when I felt like my hair was too dark and though they were well done and complimentary, they didn’t hold a candle to my naturally pretty, no maintenance, and free highlights!

    I have super wavy/frizzy hair and right by both of my temples I have this one inch square area of hair that WILL NOT grow and longer than 2 inches, and when I put my hair up, they definitely resemble devils horns/goat horns with the way they flip out.. But not in a sexy Farrah Faucet way.. in a goat/devil way. Catch my drift? So me being involved in athletics for my whole life always had my hair up may have been teased about them a bit by all the post 2 mile run perfect haired beauties.. but today I embrace them, as they aren’t going away anytime soon, and call them my Angels Wings 🙂

    I love that I’m hilarious. I make myself laugh, and make others laugh. Laughing until I cry with my husband is the best thing ever.

    … and I have a freckle/mole {it’s not raised or with a crazy nasty hair sticking out or anything…} on the top of my left boob… I know, I know, it sounds weird… but it’s like having a little mole by the side of your mouth {you know, that some people draw in sometimes?}. Everyone can always spot me out of a crowd when I wear a tank. Makes me feel saucy. 🙂

    man, what a hard question. just about the only thing I’ve ever liked about my body was its ability to have a very healthy pregnancy (though, after infertility), deliver a baby vaginally, and then to breastfeed for over a year. my body made it easy for me 🙂

  725. I heart quality. I like how my blond hair (which has darkened as I got older) still gets sun-streaked during the summer. The rest of my stays mostly pale, but at least you can see summer in my hair!

  730. “I heart quality” I would have to say my ears, when I get tired, hot,or angry they turn bright red, it has earned me the knick name of Rudolph… to bad I couldn’t make them blink…

    For me, it’s the fact that I am a lefty. Out of a family of 7 I am the only lefty in my family. Then my firstborn son became one too! Definitely some quality characteristics going on here. 🙂

    My top front teeth have a little gap in them that I never got fixed. I don’t like it, but weirdly I have many people comment on how cute it is… so I guess it definitely makes me ME!

    I have a little teeny birthmark on the side of my right foot which makes me smile, especially if my toes are also painted a bright, happy color!

  738. I heart quality! One thing about me that makes me smile is my hands. They remind me of my grandma’s, which brings to mind a lot of nice memories.

    I truly love my dimples (only the ones in my cheeks though!). I get complimented on them a lot, which just makes me smile and show them off more!

  752. I heart quality! My thumbs make me smile. Laugh, actually. One is normal, and the other is very short and fat. Although the short guy is horrible for thumbwrestling, I try to look on the bright side – the wide thumbnail is actually quite handy for opening boxes.
