August Giveaway – Green Barn Soaps

GIVEAWAY

I’m squishing all the giveaways into one giant day (or a week if I feel lazy) of glittering awesomeness. Are you ready for this jelly? This yummy jam is all for you….one day with many many freebies – so check back often to heavy breathe and eye fondle these goodies. I’m dubbing it the Giveaway Power Day…like the dance – it’s electric!

I’m not usually a double-giver-awayer….but when it comes to Heather and her handmade fancy soaps at Green Barn Soaps?  I’m willing to make an exception.  Why?  Because dude, these soaps are like chocolate in a world of gummy bears.  Sure.  Gummy bears are good.  Gummy bears are delicious.  Gummy bears make you smile.  But if you only ate gummy bears, you would never know the sweet savory goodness of a dark chocolate bar as it melts on your tongue.  You chocolate eaters are feeling me right now.  I can tell through my choco-ESP….

Speaking of chocolate…check out this new Chianti Cocoa soap.  Yes.  Magic words…wine and chocolate.  together.  safe for pregnant women and children…pshaw…like you would share this awesomeness with a kid!

The Oh La La! French green clay and oatmeal soaps are specifically made to draw out impurities and toxins from the skin.  Seriously – look how pretty that is.  I would want it on display like a geode or artwork.  It not only is beautiful but works hard too…kinda like you 🙂

Last one…the Seaweed and Sea Salt bars.  Holy Beachy Moly.  It’s an exfoliant soap…perfect for the occasional biweekly use to scrub off those impurities…making it last longer in the bathroom (so you can show it off to all your friends before it’s gone) and to make you have that fresh-from-the-beach-side-spa skin. 

Basically all of the soaps that Heather makes are hand-created…and she only makes a limited amount of each…so if you want to grab some of these fancy soaps as a gift to a good friend, or as a present for the upcoming Grandparents Day (Sept 9?), or to give to that special gal that is starting college up again or babysits for your weekly date night…you gotta get on that.  If you snooze, you lose.

    My favorite smell is hot coffee with hazelnut creamer in it (I don’t drink it with creamer, but it totally smells better that way!)

    Favorite smell? Hands down, no contest. It’s a fresh cut Christmas tree. Maybe mixed with a wood fire burning in the fireplace. And the smell of cold and snow (yes, those have a smell!).

    I love the smell of my dogs…as weird as that is. They smell like dog and it reminds me of being home. It’s comforting and makes me happy. But dog scented soap? Notsomuch. 🙂 I think I’ll stick with Heather’s soaps.

    I love the smell of the lotion “Musk by Alyssa Ashley”. It’s obscure and I don’t see it often in stores, but it is what my grandfather used and he passed last year. Every time I smell that scent it takes me back and makes me smile!

    It’s a tie between lavender and plumeria. I got tons of both on Maui on our honeymoon when plumeria were EVERYWHERE and I visited a huuuge lavender farm on the slopes of Haleakala. So I associate those two things with my honeymoon =)

    I think my current favorite scent is my new conditioner I splurged on (Pureology). It’s eucalyptus and mint, and it makes your head all tingly. It’s like washing your hair with toothpaste. And it’s amazing. 🙂

    And there is no better smell then my husband’s cologne… In the mornings he gets ready for work before I’m even out of bed, and he always leans in to give me a goodbye kiss. I get that whiff of his cologne during that kiss and it’s the best part of my morning 🙂
