Sorry to interrupt the kitchen progress…but I just had to share something really quick. Have you ever found a photo that makes you think….OH that needs to be in my house? In some way? In some medium? That is what happened when I saw this picture of Weston. He started school last week and even though it’s just a few hours three days a week, it was a REALLY big step for him. He is my wild card kid….you just never know what you will get from him….but on that day, he sucked up all the bravery he could muster and he walked boldly into a scary new classroom full of scary new kids and he rocked. it. out. I literally was busting at the seams to find out how it went and then have been holding my breath because like I said….you just never know what you will get from him. Now that he is in his second week, I can confidently say that the kid is loving school and I need now to memorialize his first day (that is the photo above).
I scoured through endless accounts on etsy and these are some of the styles I love….all so different that I can’t decide. And of course, along with the custom artists, I also added some regular pieces that caught my eye. If any of you buy those barn paintings, you must send me a pic. It’s not a request. It’s a demand. A demand with a pretty please. Now back to the regular scheduled programming 🙂

You might consider Easy123 Art, a custom paint by number company. You download your picture and they send you a kit complete with brushes and paint. I’m having a blast painting my favorite puc of my oldest when she was a little peanut.

Wow – that is the perfect picture 🙂
And yes, whenever I see THAT perfect picture on FB, I’ll print it out on the color copier just to give it to whomever!

Aww I love it. We just hung some art in our living room and it makes me tingle because it’s of National Parks and it makes me dream of packing my husband and kids in a bus and taking off a year to explore the country. https://wanderlustingbydesign.com/2016/08/30/clothes-pin-up-art/

He so reminds me of my Luke (Born Dec. 18, 2012)!
I cant wait to see what you choose to do with this picture – You are gonna share that with us, right?! 🙂

It’s so funny that you posted this today! I just commissioned watercolors of my and my fiance’s parents’ wedding photos as gifts for them. They’re by an etsy artist named Kristin and they turned out so well.: http://i.imgur.com/sa3Xoj6.jpg and http://i.imgur.com/FRxXOT9.jpg

We have been looking for a unique piece of art for our home. I have an Etsy shop but didn’t realize these great artists also sell on Etsy.
Thanks for the heads up.
Your Weston is my Jack. 😉

Okay, before I knew it, that Cardinal watercolor jumped right in my etsy cart and is on its way to me!
Love the pic of your little guy. I have three boys and it seems like my oldest, who is now a junior in high school, was just that age. Cherish every moment!
