Who Looks Like Who

Who would believe that out of these two…

 

could come this cuteness…

and this bundle of adorable…

and this lady killer?

I don’t know how that happened.  Seriously.  I know that I sound like all those completely biased parents out there with ‘breathtaking’ kids…but seriously…my kids are edible in a completely weird kind of way.  SO. MUCH. CUTE.

And since it is a topic of discussion in my real life, I thought it would be fun to bring the topic of ‘who looks like who’ here.  Do you talk about that?  I think everyone with a kid has breached that discussion…he looks like mom, she looks like dad, he has her nose, she has those ears!  It just goes and goes.  And we do it all the time with our little guys.  So now I am putting it to you….who do you think Will, Weston, and LJ look like?  Leaving all other relatives out of the mix…are they mini-Jeremy?  Or boy versions of me?

And to help you along, here is some certifiable research…oldie but goodie side by side photos of Baby Katie and Baby Jeremy as we went from infancy to legit-kid-ness.  If nothing else, it’s hilarious to see the 70’s (Jer) and 80’s (me) in action.  Which leads me to my next point…our moms did a pretty darn cute job of dressing us…ya know, when we aren’t topless 🙂

  1. OMG!! I LOVE looking at kid pictures from the 70s and 80s!! There really is nothing better!

    So, to me, I think that Will is a perfect combination of the 2 of you, Weston is the spitting image of Jeremy, and LJ is the spitting image of you, Katie!!!

    That is soo awesome!!! Both my boys, look like their Dad — except at different times – Zakk looks like Dad when he was the same age (4 – 5), and Luke looks like Dad now! Its so funny and weird! LOL!

  2. Will is a definite Katie clone. LJ also looks like you. Weston is all Jeremy. It is my favorite when kids look like their parents or siblings look alike. I feel like neither of my kids looks like me 🙁

  4. I can’t decide about LJ and Weston, but Will ONE HUNDRED PERCENT looks like you, Katie! They are all super cute. When Weston was born (haha, talking like I know you!), he looked a lot like Will, and still does. I half expected LJ to look just like him, too! But he has his own cute little look about him 🙂

  8. I wasn’t going to post, but then I saw your 4th pic down and my jaw hit the floor! Talk about a little boy being a spitting image of their mommy! Will is totally you. I’m clueless on your other two boys;) Looks like bits and pieces were taken from each of you to create those cuties!

    Weston definitely looks like Jeremy, LJ is you all the way and I think Will is more you than Jeremy, but a mixture of both =]

    Also, I’m completely unbiased toward your children and I think they are seriously adorable!

  10. It’s hard to tell on the other two – I think LJ has your eyes, but Weston is ALL his dad! I see him in almost every picture. 🙂

    What I think is funny is how opinions change and I’m always shocked when people’s differ from my own because hello! I’m Mom! What I say, is. 🙂

  23. Love this! Will is totally you and Weston has Jeremy’s eye shape, for sure. So I think Weston looks a lot like Jeremy. I think LJ looks like you and he is just pretty…sorry but he is. Stick a bow on that gorgeous hair and no one would know. All your kids are precious!

  24. It’s funny.. when Will was a newborn he looked so much like Jeremy with Katie-colored eyes, but he’s totally morphed into favoring you, Katie.

    Weston is Jeremy through and through. (And I can’t leave family out of it because so many of his laughing photos are the spitting.. SPITTING image of Jeremy’s dad when he’s equally laughing.) Love it!

    And LJ is just a perfect little blend.

    So sweet.

    Weston is 100% mini-Jeremy.
    LJ is a combo but it’s too early to tell who he looks more like.

    Any way you slice it, you are just one Bower bunch of beautiful!

Will looks like your twin, seriously, I hadn’t realized the resemblance was that uncanny until you posted the baby Katie pictures! Weston is more like Jeremy in some, but I can see you as well. And LJ is a total combo! And man, does he have great hair!!

  33. Just as others have said…Will is all his Mom (the 7th pic down sealed the deal for me), Weston his Dad and not sure about LJ, maybe a mix. But I do think LJ has your eyes! Love the pics!

    Weston is definitely his father’s son – especially when I saw that older picture of Pastor Dad. Those squinty eyes when he smiles – definitely a Bower.

    And LJ – I feel like he is leaning more toward your side of the family? His eyes are the shape of your’s and Will’s – but the color of Jeremy’s. Can’t wait to see him grown into all that hair!

  36. Your kids *are* adorable! and look at LJ looking like a big boy already. My two cents: I think Will is definitely you all the way. Weston has your husband’s eyes, and the jury’s still out on LJ.

  40. Well I think they are all 3 adorable for starters. And after some analyzing conclude:

    Will has your face with Jeremy’s head and ears.
    Weston has Jeremy’s face with your head and ears.
    LJ is all you with Jeremy’s blue eye color.

  41. I have always thought Will looks like you but I can’t tell as much on your other two … but oh my word at LJ’s hair!!!! Do you hear comments on it all of the time?! I feel like I would just sit and pet him if I knew you/was in a position where you would let me sit and pet your child. But you are right — they are all three crazy cutie pies. Also does LJ have blue eyes?! I might have missed that before but they look so different than the other two’s eyes!

  42. I agree that Will is all you, but Weston and LJ are a nice mixture of both parents. They are all adorable cuties.

  44. Like a lot of the others, I’d say Wil and LJ look like you, Katie, and Weston looks more like Jeremy.

    Have you noticed any traits? My daughter is my mini-me, but has my husband’s good nature. And then my 4yo son has my father’s temper but takes after my husband and I in other things.

  45. How fun! Will is a mini-boy-Katie. Weston really leans toward Jeremy, a lot, but I do see a bit of you in him as well. LJ, well I just think he is a complete mash up of you two! Have a great 4th!

  47. Will looks a lot like you, Weston has Jeremy’s eyes and your mouth, and I think LJ will be you again, but it’s a little too soon to tell.

    The real question is how did I not notice LJ’s hair before??? Please do a photo shoot with him where you give him all sorts of crazy hairdo’s. That would be hilarious.

    Your kids are adorable, and thanks for the other post about dressing boys. I have a 3 year old girl and a 15 month old boy. I can’t believe how much harder it is to dress him than it was her.

  48. Well, I have always thought Will was a dead ringer for Jeremy, and Weston looks like you. LJ more you, but its early days for a decision. Even though nobody else thinks so, I’m sticking with it!

  50. Yes we get the comments about the crazy hair all the time 🙂 We love it. And yes, he does have blue eyes and they don’t look like they are gonna change but the jury is still out. Weston has blue eyes too but they are very very light and evenly blue.

  51. I had bad colic (according to my mom) so I would say that Will was the closest baby to me because he had it too! But other than that, I think they are all pretty much like Jeremy – he walked early and loves the typical ‘boy stuff’…they all seem to enjoy that kinda thing too whereas as a young one I didn’t really move or talk much till three so I don’t know that I have much to compare 🙁

  55. This is my thought too – Will’s face is shaped like Jeremy’s kid pics and he has Katie coloring – Some of Katie’s baby pictures look just like Weston – LJ is a mix and adorable.

    I have a mini hubby and a mini me lol but the mini hubby got my eye colour and mini me has blue- neither of us have blue but my family are mostly blue eyes. Seems so weird! I just expected brown eyes again!

  66. I think Will looks more like you. Normally I’d say Weston looks like Jeremy, but I see him looking like you from your first baby pic. I’m not sure about LJ, but he is honestly one of the most beautiful babies I’ve seen, and I used to work with babies for my job.

I am constantly thinking about who looks like who within families, and about who my kids will look like one day (secretly hoping they look like meme!!!) all of your handsome boys have your shaped face, but Will looks exactly like you, LJ definitely looks like you a lot too! Weston looks like Jeremy in his eyes and coloring!! So fun, they are all incredibly handsome!

  76. Will is 100% you. Weston has Jeremy’s eyes but I see he has your face shape (from looking at your baby pic vs your hubby. LJ seems to be a love child, but he does look like your sister a lot!

  77. Those pictures are adorable. We used to do the same with pictures of our son when he was growing up. You were both cute kids. I see you in all 3 boys, but Will is all you for sure! Weston has more Jeremy in him, and LJ must be a really good blend because I can’t say he favors either of you more. And oh that hair! Amazing!

    Oh, and Jeremy’s dad is a total hottie! You’ve definitely got some good genes on both sides of the family! 😉

    I couldn’t pin point who LJ looked like, because he wasn’t exactly Katie or Jeremy. Sort of a mix, I thought? But now that you’ve mentioned I can’t unsee it. LJ looks *just* like Nornie!

  79. Small world alert! . . . That last pic of you – is that TAA for Tabernacle, NJ?! That is where I’m from and my younger brothers played TAA ball so you probably played with them! (I’m a couple of years older and stuck to field hockey and lax, no bball for me 🙂 I’ve moved away but my parents still live in good old ‘nacle!

    And I agree with the masses . . . Will=Katie, Weston=Jeremy, and LJ=a mix/too soon to tell! I do love his hair! My son had very similar hair when he was born but then it all fell out and grew back in straight and blonde (not red like his mama’s, unfortunately!).

    I think you have dominant genetics – darker hair, more pronounced features, etc. so the boys look more like you to me. Especially Will and Weston, it is hard to say with Leonard. They all resemble you both, but more so you. At least to me!

    I bet their personalities/mannerisms mimic their dad though. You can’t always capture that in pictures but most little boys get a lot of their quirks and mannerisms from watching dad.

    We are expecting our first and I am about 100% sure this kid will look exactly like my husband. No complaints here, he is very good looking. But he has way more dominant features (dark hair, darker skin, darker eyes, very Italian features) and it is shocking the resemblance between him, his dad, his uncles, etc. Oh yeah, and I’m sure it’ll be a boy because there are no girls in his family lol

  82. Believe it or not, I think LJ looks quite a bit like Jeremy, but with your eye shape. Weston looks like a mix of you both and Will took after you in many ways. All VERY cute kids! Keep ’em comin’! 😉 Hehe.

    Katie the Instagram pic of LJ in the la bumba is TOO CUTE! He seems like such a sweet and happy baby.
    What are you going to do about all that hair? Are you planning to cut it soon? It’s so sweet. When my son was a baby he didn’t need his hair cut until he was about 28 months old.

    We play this game all the time with our kids. It is the most fun! And surprisingly, they seem to go through stages where they will switch which of us the resemble more.

  87. I think Will looks like you (but has Jeremy’s freckles) and Weston looks JUST like Jeremy – I never noticed it before, but looking at his baby pictures, Weston totally has the same face and expressions!!
    I have no idea who LJ looks like – a combination of both maybe? I love that all three of your kids look different but are clearly part of the same family. It’s neat!

  90. I’ve always thought that they looked like Jeremy but after seeing those photos, Will and Weston are dead ringers for you! LJ is harder to tell in my opinion but I’m pretty bad at this game. I know everyone brings it up but um… LJ’s hair is killing me. I keep trying to run my fingers through it but the screen is an issue.

He has her eyes and sweet face. Isn’t it funny how that can happen? One of my brothers looks nothing like any of his three siblings or parents, but is a dead ringer for a great-grandfather.

  100. Ok, so I have read your blog for years but have never commented (on any blog!) but I had to today! I am from Tabernacle, NJ too and actually, just moved back into the house that I grew up in! I just saw the picture on your post and couldn’t get over it! I played T-ball too – so curious as to where in Tabernacle you lived and how old you are? Such a small world! 🙂
    p.s. Also curious as to who the earlier commenter is b/c I think I might know if it is the Lindsay I am thinking it is! Last name starts with a K?? This is too much!

  101. I am 33 and went to Tabernacle elementary through Intermediate and then moved. We lived on Oakshade Road…it’s off Medford Lakes Road. Small world indeed!

  103. Will is a replica beside the whole gender thing but with Jeremy’s nose . Weston is also a replica of you but with Jeremy’s eyes, which is funny because their eyes being such prominent features they will trick you into thinking he looks just like Jeremy, but those genes of yours. Hate to be a rule breaker and all,but I agree LJ is aunties baby

  105. That’s what I was jumping on to say! I figured that must be a Tabernacle shirt and I had known you were from NJ, Katie, I just didn’t know what town. I’m from Medford (neighboring town to Tabernacle). But both towns and others nearby all went to Shawnee HS, so I had many friends from ‘Nacle. I’m older than you are though. 🙂 Yay, Pine Barrens!!!

    I love these comparison picks. I agree with most everyone as well – Will looks like you and Weston like Jeremy. Probably too early to tell with LJ? I have two sons (2&1/2 and 1 year old), my oldest looks like me, and the baby looks like my husband. The “who-do-they-look-like-now” game never gets old!!!

  106. Well, Will has your eye shape, and it look as if LJ might end up with it too. Weston’s clearly got Jeremy’s eye shape.

    Since both of you have cleft chins, and all three kids have them too, it’s hard to say whose chin is like whose. Same with cheek bones. You two have very similar cheekbones, and it looks as if all your boys have similar ones.

    Jeremy had a rather distinct nose when he was young. Your older two boys definitely don’t have it, but it looks as if LJ’s little tiny baby nose might turn into that. I think Weston has your nose, and Will has his own. 🙂

    Will’s nose and mouth are close together the way Jeremy’s were/are.

    P.S. Jeremy’s dad was a fox!
