I do.

I think about the people who in college decide…I am gonna design chairs…or soap….or a revolutionary exercise machine….or just one kick-butt faucet.  I think about those people.  I think about how they probably grew up with really uncomfortable sofas, or they hated the way their body wash made their skin feel, or how one day there was the-most-dramatic-handwashing-situation ever that happened to them…and they found the need.

See a need, fill a need.  Right?!  Isn’t that what Bigweld always said?

    I usually don’t dress up for Halloween anymore, but I was thrown a surprise
    30th Birthday, that was posed as a costume party. Well, the joke was on me and I was the only one that showed up in costume… as a Nun. Nunsense, don’t you think?!

    We have the home inspection on our new place in Virginia this Thursday, so unfortunately we’ll be out of town and haven’t made any friends in VA yet to get invited to parties. On the PLUS side, our brand spankin’ new (well, new to us) 80’s kitchen with the almost-black cabinets with center ring pulls could REALLY use this faucet upgrade. For a start.

    Oh, and if I WERE dressing up for Halloween, I’d probably go as Mia from Pulp Fiction — white shirt, black pants, short black wig, and a fake syringe sticking out of my chest. She’s my go-to Halloween costume when I’m living somewhere new and no one knows I’ve done it already.

Oh, for halloween I am dressing as medical staff in a labor and delivery department because I work that day and that is what I do.

    For Halloween this year I was Mrs. Potato Head. It was my first sewing experience ever and turned out pretty well. I even velcro’d the parts of her face so I can move them around any way I want. : )

    This is the first Halloween I’m actually not dressing up. Sort of depressing, but it is what it is! I’m 8 months pregnant with our first and there was just so much stuff to do around the house to get ready for the baby that DIYing a Halloween costume (I never buy them from the store) wasn’t in the cards.     We will be dressing up as a family and handing out tiny packets of goldfish (our two preschoolers favorite snack). The kids got to go trick or treating at downtown storefronts over the weekend… a great option for small ones! And they are so excited about getting to wear their costumes again to hand out treats 🙂

    For Halloween this year, we have 1 Cinderella, and 4 homemade Hobbit/Lord of Rings characters (yup, we’re geeks, minus the princess. She’s … well, the princess). 2 hobbits, one elf, and one dwarf, to be exact. 🙂

I made his costume out of a few feather boas, white long sleeve onesie and white leggings.     I am not dressing up, but my 20-month old is going to be the cutest little piggy on the block! Her costume was already bought for this year when a stroke of genius hit one night while watching Full House.     For Halloween, I am (currently in my costume at work) a person attending a Kenny Chesney concert. Red Solo cup in hand. Cowboy boots and jean skirt on, with my I-bought-this-in-the-parking-lot-while-tailgating-hat on.

    I’m going to be a MN Twins baseball fan, wearing my husbands old t-shirt from 1987. Yes, this is the year the MN Twins won the World Series. The shirt has been with him for 26 years!

    I was already an airline stewardess to her Maverick (from Top Gun) in a Halloween parade. For the record that’s one big, ugly, stewardess. I will also be a pirate in the coming days.

    Everyone at the office dressed up like animals today – I am a puppy. We also had a ladybug, jellyfish, a few cats and a penguin.
