The Newest Thing - Walmart+

I’m a huge cheerleader for anything that saves me a trip to the store. But the problem is – I also struggle with procrastination and the instant gratification of getting something in my hands pronto. I need it in my house now! I can’t wait! So for years I have been telling you about how to save time and energy and your sanity (!!!) by getting your, well, everything delivered. And now I think that Walmart has perfected the concept!

They recently came out with a brand new membership called Walmart+ and for a really low cost, now the folks at Walmart can get your order ready and to your house in incredibly fast time! (Bonus – right now they have the cutest fall decor!!!)

First, I have to tell you about Walmart+ because not only have I joined…..I used the membership three times already this week. No joke. I really did. And once was just because I promised the boys s’mores 🙂

So here is how it works. You can go visit Walmart+ to sign up for the membership.

There is a 15 day free trial so you can check it out before marrying the service….but trust me….this is a keeper! So the cost after the free trial is $12.95 per month or $98 per year. I did the math. For me, it makes perfect sense because it pays for itself in two deliveries (based on the $7.95 delivery fee) and frees me up to do the things I actually like doing!

Here is my personal cost comparison – of course things may be different according to your location but I wanted to share this in case it helps 🙂

That’s a very modest projection. Time and energy and actual gas COSTS us money. When I figured that out for our business, it helped me actually be more decisive about what I was investing my time into.

Plus I can avoid the dreaded ‘meltdown’. You know the one. Its where we walk calmly into the store…..praying so hard that my kid doesn’t mess with their mask or lick the cart or try to open the banana and eat it before checking out. Been there. Done that. And yes, I weighed a larger banana and apologized profusely while my sweat glands got the workout of their life. You started the trip with saying, “No, we aren’t getting any candy today”, repeat it 1,403,593 times…..and end up with fourteen family size bags of candy….because it’s been a day. You know. And they still end up crying in checkout. It’s like there is a golden rule that a meltdown will happen at the very instant that your patience wavers.

Yup. No, thank you. I’ll pass on the meltdown.

I haven’t tried the mobile scan yet but I’m sure I will! That first benefit is the one that did me in! And now I don’t feel rushed to know exactly what we need for meals while in the store. I just pull out my phone, order my groceries (and thinking that lantern that would look so cute out on my table!) and BOOM! – dinner for tomorrow after the game is ready!
