I’m taking a break from the hundreds of emails that poured into my inbox and screaming YES! and breathing into a brown paper bag and realizing that my spelling/grammar/punctuation is worse than I’d care to admit and wanting to say one little thing….
I can’t say it, type it, yell it, sign it, whisper it, or repeat it enough. I appreciate your emails, your support, your encouragement, your respectful critiques, your spellchecking, your kindness, your every bit of every thing. Seriously. And it goes without saying that this blog is only possible because of you. Andyes, it helps to have the financial support of our sponsors cause let’s face it…this thing requires some dough to keep it going. By you supporting our sponsors, it in turn fuels this Bower Power fire.
So who are these sponsors?
Meet Ally.
Ally is a consultant for Willow House (you can check out her website here: Ally’s Willow House.) Willow House has beautiful classic high end home decor and all things home entertaining. You can hook up with Ally and throw a party (she does all the legwork – you just get to have a cocktail!) and then watch as your friends score great stuff for their homes while you rack up the discounts and credits toward your own loot!
Some of you may be thinking “But Katie, I need something pronto and have no place to throw a party!” Gotcha covered. She does online parties and they have incredible deals in their outlet shopping. Check it – that book of Incredible Chocolate recipes – it’s only $6 and it would be perfect paired with a pretty bag of kisses as a Valentines Day present. And those other items are super inexpensive too…
Oh and good news – their spring catalog is out and is chock full of eye candy. Here’s some things that caught my eye…
And I am uber excited to announce another sponsor for this month – Hot Blinds.com
Yes – we dabble in home decor around here and let’s face it – blinds are part of life. They create privacy, lower our energy bills, and even can make a room look good. Hot Blinds has blinds that start at only $19 and they have LOADS of options. They carry everything from woven to wooden to black out to fabric to solar shades to top down blinds. So if you are in the market (or having a baby and need a sunblocking solution) this is your place. (oh and if you are needing a little more info on blinds in general – go to their blog!)
And the last person we need to thank for contributing is…well…you.
Your photos are still pouring in for photo editing…and not to toot my own horn (okok Iam HONKHONK!), here are some of my recent favorites.
Sherrie sent in this photo of an old fire truck…and is planning on blowing it up as art work for her son’s room. Isn’t it grand?!
And isn’t this a wonderful photo of a covered bridge? And it’s miraculously fixed after a photoshop. I should have been an architect.
Kaitlyn looks amazing in this photo with her boyfriend, doesn’t she?! But not so much with the wacky white balance…a little magic presto later, and you can focus on the real glow: that man’s face as he gets a smooch from a hottie.
Family photos are another favorite of mine. This one is several generations all smiling and looking at the camera…that is a miracle in itself and now is frame worthy!
Emily came back to me to get her little one Valentines card ready. Who else is inspired to get an oversized lollipop, some vintage backdrop and a hearts headband?! Will doesn’t even know what’s coming…
One of my favorites is seeing a project before it’s finished…like a sneak peek into other’s homes. Well, when Erin told me about her black & white photo gallery wall…I was literally squeeling with excitement. And her beautiful family looks amazing in every single one of her big order…
(here are a few – isn’t that little boy a doll?!)…
Last but certainly not least is little Will. First of all…great name, right?! And any baby with such a wonderful name deserves to have photos that take your breath away, can I get an amen?!
I appreciate you commissioning me for these projects, ya’ll…and for giving me a reason EVERY single day to say thank you.
p.s. I have the rest of the home tour ready…and I can’t wait to share with you all about our skip-hop-and-jump to NYC! Stay tuned!

I know this is a little late, but I’m so glad you’re doing photography and that you live in Atlanta!! My boyfriend and I have been talking about moving our relationship to the next level (engagement then marriage), and I told him that I was going to beg and plead with you to travel just over the state line to do our engagement and wedding photos – I even told him that we’d have to go to Atlanta if you couldn’t come to us. This engagement / wedding could still be years away, so please don’t ever quit! Also, I’m THRILLED to know you are still doing photo edits. My family and the boyfriend’s went to Arizona for the National Championship game, and quite a few of my pictures came out dark. I’m hoping to send a few to you this weekend to see if you’ll be able to fix any. Thank you for having a fun, inspirational blog!
