This is always such a fun post to do! I get to analyze the info to decide what was the most popular posts of the past year. This info is based on comments, Pinterest pins, analytics, etc. and I compile everything to see what projects you loved and what you enjoyed this past year. It’s also a way I get to look back on everything we did….which is simultaneously exhausting and thrilling. Our home is a journey and we are taking the scenic route 🙂 This list doesn’t include personal posts like when I talk about breastfeeding or birthday parties…so don’t think I am ignoring my kids. I only do that when the TV is on. And then I demand bonbons and mommy’s special tea 🙂
Seriously though….as much as I gripe about not getting anything done, we have done quite a bit. Here’s a quick rundown of all the stuff we did in 2014. We have quite a few rooms unfinished but they have made big progress over the last 12 months. The hallways upstairs and downstairs have been painted.
The laundry room was painted, tiled, and we fixed the dryer, moved the outlets, and installed a cabinet and built a sliding door!
The exterior got spruced up. We did a lot more landscaping, painted the railings, and planted trees for our babies.
We started our big SWITCHEROO….which meant the office is now a partially completed playroom and the reading room is now my office.
We cleaned the basement workroom and then eventually decided to fix up the garage to house our workroom stuff.
Weston’s nursery was revealed.
The kitchen was (finally) revealed.
We bought the Monroe House.
We also switched up Will’s room from a toddler space to a big boy space with two beds.
The Bower Build Off and the Picture Party were both features that we launched this year.
And now for the main event…..according to the data, the top posts of 2014 were the following (in no specific order)….
Hope you all enjoyed the 2014 recap and have fun poking around at any posts you may have missed! May you all have an amazingly fun time tonight and I will see you next year (harhar)!

Happy New Year, Katie! Your guys have done a lot of creative things with your home this year – now I’m inspired to get my butt of the couch! We have a kitchen re-model that’s going on oh, 2.5 years 😉
By the way, I saw a Home Depot add on facebook this morning featuring your new bathroom! It looks amazing! Congratulations 🙂

Busy year!!! Here are 2 things I would love to see (add them to your list LOL)
In this post, it would be interesting to see catagories like “Most Shared” “Most Pinned” “Most Commented On” “Most Viewed” . I don’t know why but I am curious.
and #2 FLOOR PLAN of your house! Do you have this somewhere and I haven’t found it yet? It would be so helpful to understand your layout better 🙂
Can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2015! (Hopefully a tour of the Monroe House!)
Thanks!

I love how you find so many beautiful and functional uses for your scrap wood. I’m going to need to build a storage room for all the scrap wood I’m ‘planning’ on turning into masterpieces…someday 🙂
