Please tell me about the piece of furniture that stored linen, in the other house. It was white, with 2 doors, and a drawer or 2 at the bottom. Do you have a pic of what it looked like before?

GREAT video! I just went to Goodwill this week (to drop of donations) and walked in and found a mirror for $6 and a wooden chair for $5. I plan on painting both items and recovering the chair… it will be my first project. Wish me luck!

Sherry’s voice sounds like Mila Kunis!
So I think you’ll get a kick out of this…my parents bought a beach house near Sarasota a few years ago, and since it’s only about an hour south of their house they go down there pretty much every weekend. They have loved discovering fun things in the area around the house and one of their favorite things to do each weekend is hit up the GIGANTIC Goodwill right nearby. They have gotten a lot of neat finds from there, but what my mom really loves is finding the designer clothes (a lot of times with the price tags still on!) and then whenever someone asks her where she got it she just says “Oh it’s from GW’s” and leaves them wondering what nice department store or fancy boutique “GW’s” is! Only our family knows the truth behind her thrifty style. 🙂

I really appreciated your post about comparisons…how you compare yourself to others and what a set-up that is. I totally fall into the comparison trap. I am just grateful you put that out there because I think every woman on earth can relate.
I also love how you’ve shared some great Christian books. I am a mom of a 2 year old boy with another boy on the way. I’m married to a worship pastor and I love to decorate my home. I just think we have a lot in common, so I’ve really enjoyed getting to read your blog and find comfort in reading it.

I love your accent too, I spent a summer teaching at a Girl Scout Camp in Armuchee, GA and I found the people there are so sweet and polite, much “Southern Hosiptally” for sure, reminds me of home in Nova Scotia, Canada. ( Although, we don’t have the Southern Accent) I think you should head back to the Goodwill and get those squirel bookends for Sherry and spray paint them..WHITE!! haha….

Wowsa! Your Goodwill is expensive!! I’m in KC and our prices must be rock bottom. For example, that dresser would have been $25. Or those fighting roosters would have probably been $5 for the pair. Funny video. 🙂
