    Currently, I don’t use a lot of wood items at home because they tend to splinter. I definitely would use wood utensils like these.

    I think that the wood item I use the most are our kitchen stools by the island. More often than not, the hubbs and I eat dinner there.

    I have a HUGE wooden spoon I bought on a trip to northern Arizona; somehow my tomato sauce just doesn’t take right unless I make it with that old spoon.

    The wooden items I use the most are the sticks I find in the backyard and throw to my dog, Maggie, who loves chewing on and breaking sticks! She does not understand the concept of “fetch” though. She grabs it and runs.

    The wood item we use most is our wood floor! Okay, maybe that is cheating. We also use a lot of wooden baby toys and blocks.

    I have a big vintage bakery dough trough thing that I love. I can put seasonal decor in it, a giant salad, bread or fruit and it is rusticky cool

  27. Give Me M-Oar!!! For our first anniversary my husband had a local wood maker make a plaque with his wedding vows to me on it and our first kiss as a married couple. Needless to say I love it and it is for sure the “wooden thing” I love the most

    Wow, am I the only one who didn’t know that a dough oar existed? Genius and beautiful. The wooden object I use the most is my lap desk for relaxing on the couch and protecting my thighs from a warm laptop.

    I feel like I just yelled that really loudly for some reason. Those baby stars and moon are perfection and I wish I had known about this blog before my babycakes cut his bottom teeth, since his exquisite crib is now so chewed up you would think a beaver sleeps in it each night.

    The wooden item we use most in our home is a wooden bowl that we store our fresh fruit in on our kitchen counter tops!

My son like to bang all kinds of toys on it, I fold laundry there, and my hubby puts his feet there every time he sits on the couch (and thats a lot!!!!!) lol!

    We use our bamboo cutting board multiple times a day, a wide/flat wooden spoon pretty much any time we cook or bake and we use the wood farmhouse computer desk (that we built) daily. Looove them!

    Right now our wood coffee table probably wins, but I’m looking forward to using our antique family heirloom wood rocking chair (that my husband is currently refinishing) when our baby boy arrives next month! I imagine we’ll give it quite the workout!

    What do we use most that is wooden…cutting boards (they MAY be bamboo), spoons (may also be bamboo?), ummm but for sure…we don’t “use” this, but we do…night stands. We went without them for a while and now, even though they’re not yet painted for their final product, we LOVE having matching ones by our bed! 🙂 hooray blogiversary!

    am i the only one to say that i use a wooden spankin’ spoon at my house? or the only one to admit it publicly? i do. it works. and my kids know what it means when i pull it out. BUT i use my other wooden spoons more when i cook.

    I use my wooden cooking spoon a lot. I’m surprised it hasn’t turned red yet because of all the spaghetti and marinara sauce I stir with it 🙂

  70. so i read too fast:( I thought you wanted to know what we would use this for!!! ok so what I use the most is a set of 2 wooden thingys from IKEA. a spoon, a spatula thing. I love them for sure on my frying pans so I don;t scratch em all up!!!

    My hubby makes fun of me but EVERY.TIME.I.COOK. I use our wooden spoon. I tell him it’s because everyone on the Food Network uses it when cooking in their Le Crueset dutch ovens so I figured I should do the same!

    The most used wooden item in my house is just a regular old mixing spoon. Great for sauteing in a non stick pan, or mixing yummy brownies for dessert!

  89. GIVE ME M-OAR! The wooden drying rack! My husband and I just started our little one on cloth diapers, and now not a day goes by where we don’t have a load of diapers drying on the patio.

    It’s a tie in my house between my awesome giant end grain cutting board (picked up at Home Depot super cheap) and my beloved wooden spoons. The spoons are so well “loved” that they are all curved from where I tap them on the edge of the pan or bowl as I cook.

    The wodden object I use most in the house is the coffee table. That thing is the most well built coffee table ever! My soon-to-be sister-in-law (14 years old) loves to dance on the table. I weigh 180 lbs and I’ve stood on it before!!

    Well…my kids are older now, so my wooden spoons are finally all used for cooking 🙂 {Though I must tell you, there are times when I want to pull one out and say “Remember this? It is still here…”} But I still use my wooden spoons the most.

    We probably use our thrifted wooden coffee table most of all. We live in a small, one bedroom apartment and always tend to spend time together on the couch, watching movies, pinning, talking and napping. We snagged our table for $20 at a Goodwill and have loved it every day!

    The utensil that gets the most use is probably our whisk…it has a wooden handle, does that count? My husband seriously makes pancakes as often as he can. At least once on the weekends. Sometimes for dinner. (I think he can handle it because he puts a lot of peanut butter on them–the protein balances out the carbs (or something) and he doesn’t even need lunch. Isn’t that weird?! I eat one and I want to take a nap!)

  167. GIVE ME M-OAR. The wood item that gets the most use in my house isn’t actually used by me…….it’s the selection of sticks that my Mom gives my dog from her maple tree trimmings. Happy is my rescue terrier who loves being busy – right down to her teeth — so these sticks have helped her stop gnawing on the other wood items in my house (esp. Great Grandma’s rocking chair). Thanks Mom, for giving me a better alternative…..your option beats playing doggy disciplinarian all day with a stick (HAR!).

    We have an end-grain cutting board that’s i regular rotations (it’s the bf’s go-to board). I do have a soft spot for my grandmother’s wooden spoon. You know the ones that are so smooth and worn with ages of use? I love that thing.

    Hands down the most used wooden item in our home is the cutting boards.
    However, the most loved is the handmade wooden bread bowl my grandfather had made for me before he passed away, the one he engraved a note on the bottom of 🙂
