Amazon is having a little weekly deal right now…$5 yearly subscriptions on select magazines.
And I, Katie Bower the first, just purchased my own first Christmas present. presents.
…that needs to be plural. for all 32 issues that will be delivered to my house in the next year.

I decided to go with Good Housekeeping (since I will be a full-time housewife in about nine weeks and have no idea how to keep a house and because I want to eat those cookies),
Country Living (because I am fully aboard the country train…Jeremy, can we move to Montana?)
and House Beautiful (because it is my favorite decor magazine…and because the houses are just so darn beautiful).
Anyone else ordering a $5 magazine subscription? SmartMoney? RedBook? Bazaar? Marie Claire? Anyone?
Thanks for sharing this sale! I am ordering a subscription to SmartMoney for my husband – it will be a great stocking stuffer… although he will probably open it and say I am the one who should be reading it, not him. 🙂

I didn’t see Real Simple for $5 as another commenter mentioned – now that would be a good deal!
I know Chacha….I actually went back to doublecheck about Real Simple too. I guess we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for that deal in the future!

I snagged Real Simple earlier this year – score! I do have a question, though. I was going to buy some as presents, but what if the recipient already has a subscription? Does it automatically tack on the additional issues at the end?

I renewed my subscription to Real Simple!! I also got food network magazine for $5 from a Hearst magazine sale.
Thanks for the update, I have a few gift subscriptions to get this year, this will save me some money. I personally get the food network mag, i’m a big food network nerd. They’re my celebs. I accidentally get the Good Housekeeping mag and it’s pretty good. Speakin of magazines – you can get a free one year subscription to “babytalk” magazine. So take advantage of it. It’s got fun tips and cute “lets take advantage of the first time mommy and make her want to buy all this useless stuff” articles. You’ll totally dig it!
