The dressing room light from West Elm is INSTALLED! Jeremy – my beautiful and handy husband – put it in last night. I can see the light at the end of my long LONG tunnel called my dressing room.
The before was your standard, boring, simple light fixture – that I will love in our basement.
The after = FAB, GLAM, GORG!
In actuality – it is not as bright as the picture above – but that ain’t nothing a higher wattage can’t fix…right?!?! It’s actually more like this…
One thing is for sure – it was super easy to install. Especially since we already had a plate for the box and all it needed was a quick coat of primer to turn it from black to white.
Thanks Emily for the comment about how easy it was to change from plug-in to hardwired – you were right! It was really easy and now I can’t wait to move forward with the next house improvements. Either that or just pick out a pillow.
Do you have this light fixture? Do you love it? Do you wanna form a capiz club please? Cause I will join…for shezzell.

Wow, Jeremy works much faster than Mr. B. I love our Capiz – ours is white and it’s in our master. We put the 60 watt bulb in that, but have two bedside lamps that add extra light. Count me in the club.

I loooooooove this light fixture. I lust madly after it, actually. Since we’re apartment dwellers AND have no girl-land I can’t have it yet. The husband has deemed it “too girly” so instead it’s on my desktop background and I enjoy it from afar. 😉

Katie –
What was the bulb wattage in your light? I just got a capiz chandelier from World Market ($25 on clearance from $70). I hard wired to the dining room ceiling it with a hanging pendant lamp from Home Depot. Unfortunately, the lamp uses a 60W bulb which doesn’t give off much light.
Thanks!
Katie says
Um…I don’t know. But if I had to guess 60w or 75w. It’s not very bright in there though.
