A couple of years ago I started looking for a letter to Santa template that I could print and fill out with my little guys. I searched high and wide and finally landed on a few that I liked but nothing that focused on “things that we did that were good” as well as mentioned something “naughty” (I wanted this listed just for laughs) and still mentioned Jesus and our wish list items. I wanted the template to be something personalized and allowed my boys to stretch their little imaginations (what would you leave Santa on Christmas? What is your favorite reindeer?). Last year I created my own printable and allowed Will to fill it out and it acted like a great conversation starter for my suddenly-shy kiddos when he saw the big guy 🙂
I shared that we did write Santa a letter and so many folks emailed me to ask for this as a printable for their little ones. Well, this year I created one just for you!
The date is in the spot of the “B” so that you can know what year it corresponds to and my kids love filling their own out. I am sure your kids will too.
You can click and save the photo above to your computer or you can click this link below for the pdf.
Secondly – every year I try to get a certain number of photos for our family yearbook. It is really helpful to me to have my list (plus it acts as a to-do list for my kids so that when we are bored, we just mark another thing off the list!) and it is simple enough to give you an extra boost into the Christmas spirit.
I know that many of you have already done most of these items in your preparation….but you can always recreate your photos so that you can pop those photos in your own frames or photo albums.
Here is the pdf for that list:
Lastly – we are working really hard on making sure that we are ready for some really long-awaited reveals! I can not wait to share them with you! But first things first – let’s get these suckers printed and those presents wrapped and those toys donated and sing, dance and spend that quality Christmas time with loved ones! Merry everything y’all!

What a cute idea! I love that you get to save their hilarious “naughty” items for posterity, haha. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe it’s just me (or Chrome) but your blog is kind of a giant mess of ads for me the last day or two? I can barely find the content, I have to X out of overlay windows and stuff. The content is maybe 20% of the page, with giant ads on top, bottom and right side. I hope it’s a mistake because I can’t deal with it for long term reading. I say this to be helpful, not insulting, by the way. Happy holidays!

You’re killing me! You can’t just give me the blank letters and a list of pictures! I need to see every letter and every picture 🙂
Katie says
Thank you for telling me! Can you do me a favor? Can you screen shot it and send it to me in an email at [email protected]
That would help me tremendously when it comes to fixing it.

I love that letter to santa! It covers everything! Pinning for later 🙂

Done! I guess it might just be the lower banner ad that’s new? The pages load slower here, too. Hope it helps!

Sorry to be that person; however, since it’s a printable to help teach children, there are a couple of grammar errors. A comma needs to go before the “but” since it is a coordinating conjunction joining two clauses. There should also be an Oxford comma after “Daddy” to break up the grouping of “Daddy and Jesus.” Finally, a comma should be placed before and after the name of the reindeer. I’m really not trying to be snotty at all. I think this letter is adorable! It’s just the high school English teacher in me!

Yes the lower banner is new. I appreciate all your help – and I emailed you 🙂

Doh! I missed a lot of commas!

I know that it’s all in fun but, since you grouped Santa and Jesus in the same context, how do you plan to explain that Santa is not real, but Jesus is?
Bethany says
The lower banner crashes everything for me every time too! Has for weeks
Katie says
The same way I explain everything! Santa is real to them right now (as is Spiderman, Kermit the Frog, and Mickey Mouse)…one day they will ask and I will tell them it’s a character. Jesus is not a character – he is a real person that lived and walked the earth and still lives in Heaven and our hearts! I think it’s actually harder for adults to understand the difference 🙂

What do you mean? Can you show me a screenshot too? I am trying to make sure that everything works for you guys!

I’m also a high school English teacher, and I actually like the way Katie wrote this letter! Oxford commas are optional, and leaving out commas between the independent clauses or before and after the reindeer’s name make the letter seem simpler and more kid-like to me. (I cringe plenty of other times when I see grammatical errors in blog posts, though, so I feel your pain!)
Maya says
On other other hand, when I left out the “s” at the end of the word “make,” I was definitely committing a grammatical error. 🙂

Thank you for this printables, Katie! Just Perfect!
